  • Silverlight 3: ListBox DataTemplate HorizontalAlignment

    - by Lee
    I have a ListBox with it's ItemTemplate bound to a DataTemplate. My problem is I cannot get the elements in the template to stretch to the full width of the ListBox. <ListBox x:Name="listPeople" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" Margin="0,0,0,0" Background="{x:Null}" SelectionMode="Extended" Grid.Row="1" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource PersonViewModel.BrowserDataTemplate}" ItemsSource="{Binding Mode=OneWay, Path=SearchResults}" > </ListBox> <DataTemplate x:Key="PersonViewModel.BrowserDataTemplate"> <ListBoxItem HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch"> <Grid HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" Margin="5,5,5,5"> <Border Opacity=".1" x:Name="itemBorder" Background="#FF000000" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" CornerRadius="5,5,5,5" MinWidth="100" Height="50"/> </Grid> </ListBoxItem> </DataTemplate> As you can see, I have added a border within the grid to indicate the width of the template. My goal is to see this border expand to the full width of the listbox. Currently its width is determined by its contents or MinWidth, which is the only thing at the moment keeping it visible at all.

  • Previous layer not showing

    - by meep
    Hello I got a menu which can foldout and show some content based on the menu item. See demo: http://arcticbusinessnetwork.com.web18.curanetserver.dk/home.aspx If I hover the menu it works great, but if I click on "Raw Material", I can not access the PREVIOUS tab (Infrastructure) while the others fade in great. How can this be? This is the javascript <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/jquery.hoverIntent.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { function megaHoverOver() { $(this).find(".menu_content").stop().fadeTo('fast', 1).show(); } function megaHoverOut() { $(this).find(".menu_content").stop().fadeTo('fast', 0, function () { $(this).hide(); }); } var config = { sensitivity: 2, interval: 50, over: megaHoverOver, timeout: 300, out: megaHoverOut }; $("#menu ul li").not(".parenttocurrent").not(".current").find(".menu_content").css({ 'opacity': '0' }); $("#menu ul li").not(".parenttocurrent").not(".current").hoverIntent(config); }); </script>

  • simplemodal - IE8 $.support.boxModel is not NULL and no object

    - by tom007
    Hi, I try to use the simplmodal script from: http://www.ericmmartin.com/projects/simplemodal/ I got this error $.support.boxModel is not NULL.. in IE8. jquery.simplemodal-1.3.4.min.js?F This is my implementation scipt.. what I have to change to avoid this error? function loadIframe(url){ $.modal('<iframe src="' + url + '" height="700px" width="600px" scrolling="no">', { containerCss:{ backgroundColor:"#fff", borderColor:"#333", }, overlayClose:true, opacity:70, overlayCss: { backgroundColor:"#000" }, onOpen: function (dialog) { dialog.overlay.fadeIn('slow', function () { dialog.container.toggleClass("preloader"); dialog.data.hide(); dialog.container.fadeIn('slow', function () { dialog.container.toggleClass("preloader"); dialog.data.slideDown('slow'); }); }); }, onClose: function (dialog) { dialog.data.fadeOut('slow', function () { dialog.container.slideUp('slow', function () { dialog.overlay.fadeOut('slow', function () { $.modal.close(); // must call this! }); }); }); } }); } $(document).ready(function(){ $("img").click(function(){ var baseurl = location.host; var url = $(this).attr("target"); var url = 'http://' + baseurl + url; loadIframe(url); }); });

  • How to only fade content once it is ready in Jquery?

    - by Jared
    Hello, I've seen examples for load() and ready(), but they always seem to apply to the window or document body, or a div or img or something like that. I have a hover() function, and when you hover over it, it uses fadeIn() to reveal it. Problem is, the images inside the div aren't loaded yet, so it ends up just appearing anyway. I need code that will only allow the image to fade when it's contents are fully loaded. When I just plug in other selectors like the following, it doesn't work $(this).next(".menuPopup").ready(function () { //or load(), neither work fadeTo(300, 1); }); EDIT: Relevant code $( '.leftMenuProductButton' ).hover ( function () { $(this).next(".menuPopup").stop().css("opacity", 1).fadeIn('slow'); }, function () { $(this).next(".menuPopup").stop().hide(); }); HTML <div class="leftMenuProductButton"> Product 1</div> <div id="raceramps56" class="menuPopup"><IMG SRC="myimage.jpeg"> </div>

  • CSS3 animations - how to make different animations to different elements on scroll

    - by DeanDeey
    I have a question about the doing CSS3 animations on scroll.. I found a code, that shows the DIV element after the user scrolls down: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { /* Every time the window is scrolled ... */ $(window).scroll( function(){ /* Check the location of each desired element */ $('.hideme').each( function(i){ var bottom_of_object = $(this).position().top + $(this).outerHeight(); var bottom_of_window = $(window).scrollTop() + $(window).height(); /* If the object is completely visible in the window, fade it it */ if( bottom_of_window > bottom_of_object ){ $(this).animate({'opacity':'1'},500); } }); }); }); </script> I'm building a site, which one will have about 5 different boxes, which one will be shown when the user scrolls down to each box. But my question is, how i make the animation inside those boxes. Foe example: in each box there is title, content and images. How do i make all the elements appear after each other, because with this code all the class elements are shown at once. But i would like that if user scrolls down, first the tittle appears, then the content and at the end the images. And then when user scrolls to the next box, the same process repeat's itself. I use some CSS3 delays, but in this case i don't know how long will user take to scroll down. thanks!

  • jQuery's draggable grid

    - by Art
    It looks like that the 'grid' option in the constructor of Draggable is relatively bound to the original coordinates of the element being dragged - so simply put, if you have three draggable divs with their top set respectively to 100, 200, 254 pixels relative to their parent: <div class="parent-div" style="position: relative;"> <div id="div1" class="draggable" style="top: 100px; position: absolute;"></div> <div id="div2" class="draggable" style="top: 200px; position: absolute;"></div> <div id="div3" class="draggable" style="top: 254px; position: absolute;"></div> </div> Adn all of them are getting enabled for dragging with 'grid' set to [1, 100]: draggables = $('.draggable'); $.each(draggables, function(index, elem) { $(elem).draggable({ containment: $('#parent-div'), opacity: 0.7, revert: 'invalid', revertDuration: 300, grid: [1, 100], refreshPositions: true }); }); Problem here is that as soon as you drag div3, say, down, it's top is increased by 100, moving it to 354px instead of being increased by just mere 46px (254 + 46 = 300), which would get it to the next stop in the grid - 300px, if we are looking at the parent-div as a point of reference and "grid holder". I had a look at the draggable sources and it seem to be an in-built flaw - they just do all the calculations relative to the original position of the draggable element. I would like to avoid monkey-patching the code of draggable library and what I am really looking for here is the way how to make the Draggable calculate the grid positions relative to containing parent. However if monkey-patching is unavoidable, I guess I'll have to live with it. Thanks!

  • UIImageView Fade-In Dissapears

    - by Winder
    I have this code which should create a splash image with either no animation or a fade in, then call code to dismiss the image out after a delay. The SplashViewAnimationNone works fine and creates the full screen image, but the Fade code fades the image in but then immediately disappears. - (void)startSplash { [[[[UIApplication sharedApplication] windows] objectAtIndex:0] addSubview:self]; splashImage = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:self.image]; if (self.animationIn == SplashViewAnimationNone) { [self addSubview:splashImage]; } else if (self.animationIn == SplashViewAnimationFade) { [self addSubview:splashImage]; CABasicAnimation *animSplash = [CABasicAnimation animationWithKeyPath:@"opacity"]; animSplash.duration = self.animationDelay; animSplash.removedOnCompletion = NO; animSplash.fillMode = kCAFillModeForwards; animSplash.fromValue = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:0.0]; animSplash.toValue = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:1.0]; animSplash.delegate = self; [self.layer addAnimation:animSplash forKey:@"animateOpacity"]; } // Dismiss after delay. [self performSelector:@selector(dismissSplash) withObject:self afterDelay:self.delay]; }

  • colorbox not displaying first caption from flickr gallery integration

    - by Mark
    I am pulling small thumbnails into my page from the flickr API, and using Colorbox to display larger thumbnails and captions from the title attribute. Using the API with C#. However, on the first instance of opening colorbox it does not display the caption from the anchors title attribute. If you click next or previous then it appears. The actual caption is physically there in the source code, just not getting put into the colorbox window. Demo here, if you click on a thumbnail you will see there is no caption, click next then prev and it will appear. Here's the code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $("a[rel='group']").colorbox({ opacity: 0.75 }); }); </script> <a href='http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5015/5511378425_e63d4a62f7.jpg' title='Little Hermit (Peter Dunn)' rel='group' class='tooltip'> <img src='http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5015/5511378425_e63d4a62f7_s.jpg' alt='Little Hermit (Peter Dunn)' /> </a> If i view source, the title attribute is populated with the caption, but if i ook in firebug it is not in the colorbox code. Any help on this would be great Ive ran out of ideas!

  • Fading out everything but (this) - while honoring a click()

    - by Kasper Lewau
    I'm trying to achieve a fading navigation system, where everything in the nav but the element being hovered will fade out to say, 0.3 opacity. At the same time, I want clicks to have a greater "value", so as to not fade out a clicked element (or in this case, the active subpage).. That didn't make much sense to me either, I'll just post the code I have. <nav id="main"> <ul> <li> <a>work</a> </li> <li> <a>about me</a> </li> <li> <a>contact</a> </li> </ul> </nav> And the script that makes it sparkle: var nava = "nav#main ul li a"; $(nava).hover(function(){ $(nava).not(this).removeClass().addClass("inactive"); $(this).addClass("active"); }); $(nava).click(function(){ $(this).removeClass().addClass("active"); }); }); And the classes / css(less): .inactive{color:@color2; border-bottom:0 solid #000;} .active{color:@color1; border-bottom:1px solid #000;} nav#main ul li a{color:@color1;} Basically the hover states take priority over the click, which I do not want to happen. Ideally I'd like for all of the anchor elements to revert to its original state whenever you hover out from the unordered list holding it all. If anyone has some pointers on this it'd be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

  • Using jQuery with Windows 8 Metro JavaScript App causes security error

    - by patridge
    Since it sounded like jQuery was an option for Metro JavaScript apps, I was starting to look forward to Windows 8 dev. I installed Visual Studio 2012 Express RC and started a new project (both empty and grid templates have the same problem). I made a local copy of jQuery 1.7.2 and added it as a script reference. <!-- SomeTestApp references --> <link href="/css/default.css" rel="stylesheet" /> <script src="/js/jquery-1.7.2.js"></script> <script src="/js/default.js"></script> Unfortunately, as soon as I ran the resulting app it tosses out a console error: HTML1701: Unable to add dynamic content ' a' A script attempted to inject dynamic content, or elements previously modified dynamically, that might be unsafe. For example, using the innerHTML property to add script or malformed HTML will generate this exception. Use the toStaticHTML method to filter dynamic content, or explicitly create elements and attributes with a method such as createElement. For more information, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=247104. I slapped a breakpoint in a non-minified version of jQuery and found the offending line: div.innerHTML = " <link/><table></table><a href='/a' style='top:1px;float:left;opacity:.55;'>a</a><input type='checkbox'/>"; Apparently, the security model for Metro apps forbids creating elements this way. This error doesn't cause any immediate issues for the user, but given its location, I am worried it will cause capability-discovery tests in jQuery to fail that shouldn't. I definitely want jQuery $.Deferred for making just about everything easier. I would prefer to be able to use the selector engine and event handling systems, but I would live without them if I had to. How does one get the latest jQuery to play nicely with Metro development?

  • Recommendations for jQuery tooltips

    - by jerome
    I am looking for tooltip plugins for jQuery that would allow for the following type of behavior. <a href="somewhere.html"> <span> <img src="someimage.jpg" style="display: none;" /> Here is the tooltip content. </span> Here is the link to somewhere. </a> The behavior that I am hoping for is to hover over "Here is the link to somewhere" and have a tooltip pop up showing the content of the span containing "someimage.jpg" and "Here is the tooltip content". I would prefer that the tooltip track along with the mouse's movement over the link and that the tooltip's appearace (background color, opacity, border color, etc.) be configurable. The two most popular tooltips that I have found, "clueTip" and Jörn Zaefferer's "Tooltip" do not seem to fit the bill, unless I am missing something. Ultimately, the links and images will be dynamically generated.

  • jQuery ajax form submit - how to ensure dynamically loaded form's action is used

    - by kenny99
    Hi, i'm having a problem with dynamically loaded forms - instead of using the action attribute of the newly loaded form, my jquery code is still using the action attribute of the first form loaded. I have the following code: //generic ajax form handler - calls next page load on success $('input.next:not(#eligibility)').live("click", function(){ $(".form_container form").validationEngine({ ajaxSubmit: true, ajaxSubmitFile: $(this).attr('action'), success : function() { var url = $('input.next').attr('rel'); ajaxFormStage(url); }, failure : function() { } }); }); But when the next form is loaded, the above code does not pick up the new action attribute. I have tried adding the above code to my callback on successful ajax load (shown below), but this doesn't make any difference. Can anyone help? Many thanks function ajaxFormStage(url) { var $data = $('#main_body #content'); $.validationEngine.closePrompt('body'); //close any validation messages $data.fadeOut('fast', function(){ $data.load(url, function(){ $data.animate({ opacity: 'show' }, 'fast'); '); //generic ajax form handler - calls next page load on success $('input.next:not(#eligibility)').live("click", function(){ $(".form_container form").validationEngine({ ajaxSubmit: true, ajaxSubmitFile: $(this).attr('action'), success : function() { var url = $('input.next').attr('rel'); ajaxFormStage(url); }, failure : function() { } }); }); }); });

  • Jqplot - How to have vertical lines and make xaxis go up in plotted values?

    I have plotted a line graph using jqplot. What i would like is vertical lines and to start from 3 and go up in the plotted values along the bottom. so 3, 6, 9, 12 , 15, 29, 36 Also a dash marker along the left. However using these functions and jQuery it doesn't appear to be working, any anyone give me an idea of where im going wrong?

  • Make an empty DIV height and width of its container

    - by Olly F
    My HTML currently contains a background image that stretches with the viewport. Within that, I plan to place a div that stretches to the height and width of the viewport and has black background colour at 50% opacity. I've set the div to be 100% width and height. The div is not stretching and I can't figure out why! • Jquery Dialog - Is there a way to open it without registering it using .dialog?

    - by Raja
    This is my problem. I have a page with multiple tabs. I load those tabs dynamically and one of those tabs is a message container (mail). Every time I click a folder link (Inbox, Sent Mail etc) I reload just that tab alone with appropriate content. I use Jquery dialog to pick contacts and I have to load contacts everytime. Since I reload the whole tab content every time JQuery Dialog registers (or creates) the whole div content. To avoid this I did this: if ($("#ui-dialog-title-divContacts").length == 0) { //if dialog data is not created then make dialog $("#divContacts").dialog({ bgiframe: true, resizable: false, autoOpen: false, height: 600, width: 425, modal: true, overlay: { backgroundColor: '#000', opacity: 0.5 }, buttons: { Cancel: function () { //basically do nothing $(this).dialog("close"); }, 'Done': function () { $("#divTo").empty().html($("#divSelectedContacts").html()); $(this).dialog("close"); } } }); } I went to generated viewsource in FF and found that only one instance is being created. My problem now is it is not showing the dialog. Is there a way by which I can open this dialog without registering it. Any help is much appreciated.

  • In SVG is there a way to grab a shape anywhere when it has fill = "none"

    - by Shaunwithanau
    I have a series of shapes that I want the user to be able click anywhere on the shape to pick up as part of a drag and drop feature. All of these shapes are bounded by a rectangle. For example: <g id="shape1" fill="none" stroke="black"> <rect x="0" y="0" width="100" height="100"/> <circle cx="50" cy="50" r="50"/> </g> <g id="shape2" fill="none" stroke="black"> <rect x="0" y="0" width="100" height="100"/> <line x1="0" y1="0" x2="50" y2="100"/> <line x1="100" y1="0" x2="50" y2="100"/> </g> I already have all of the drag and drop parts working, the problem is all of these shapes have to have fill="none" so you can see anything that may be underneath of them. This means that even though they are bounded by the rectangle, at the moment users have to physically click on one of the lines in order to pick it up instead of being able to click anywhere on the shape like I want. My original idea was to use fill="white" and then set opacity="0" or some really low value but this applies to the stroke as well so this didn't work out. Any ideas on how I can get this working?

  • svg mouseup event not fired in IE9, unless the debugger is open

    - by Roberto Lupi
    I am using d3 to build a simple chart that the user can edit interactively with the mouse. It works on in all modern common browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari), except for Internet Explorer 9 where I can start to drag an item but I never get the mouseup event. The strangest bit is that, if I open the debugger, the page works percetly on Internet Explorer 9 as well. My code looks like this: item.append("svg:circle") .attr("class", "handle") .attr("opacity",0.5) .attr("stroke","gray") .attr("cx", bx(0.5)-bx(0)) .attr("r", 10) .style("cursor", "crosshair") .style("pointer-events", "all") .call(d3.behavior.drag() .on("dragstart", function() { dragTarget = d3.select(this); }) .on("drag", function() { this.parentNode.appendChild(this); // put us on the front, not really needed var dragTarget = d3.select(this); dragTarget .attr("cy", function() { return d3.event.dy + parseInt(dragTarget.attr("cy"))}); }) .on("dragend", function(d, i) { newY = parseInt(d3.select(this).attr("cy")); newValue = y.invert(newY); var serieNo = this.__data__.serieNo; console.log([serieNo+1,i+1]); data[serieNo+1][i+1] = newValue; updateBarChart(); onchange(); }) );

  • Simple search form passing the searched string through GET

    - by Brian Roisentul
    Hi, I'd like my Search form to return the following url after submit: /anuncios/buscar/the_text_I_searched My form is the following: <% form_for :announcement, :url => search_path(:txtSearch) do |f| %> <div class="searchBox" id="basic"> <%= text_field_tag :txtSearch, params[:str_search].blank? ? "Busc&aacute; tu curso r&aacute;pido y f&aacute;cil." : params[:str_search], :maxlength=> 100, :class => "basicSearch_inputField", :onfocus => "if (this.value=='Busc&aacute; tu curso r&aacute;pido y f&aacute;cil.') this.value=''", :onblur => "if(this.value=='') { this.value='Busc&aacute; tu curso r&aacute;pido y f&aacute;cil.'; return false; }" %> <div class="basicSearch_button"> <input type="submit" value="BUSCAR" class="basicSearch_buttonButton" /> <br /><a href="#" onclick="javascript:jQuery('#advance').modal({opacity:60});">Busqueda avanzada</a> </div> </div> <% end %> My routes' line for search_path is this: map.search '/anuncios/buscar/:str_search', :controller => 'announcements', :action => 'search' Well, this will work if I manually type the url I want in the brower, but definitely, if you look at the form's url, you'll find a ":txtSearch" parameter, which is not giving me the actual value of the text field when the form is submitted. And that's what I'd like to get! Could anybody help me on this?

Even if I reload the page it will still not appear. How can I make it appear? Thanks
