  • Is it possible to call BlazeDS from Java?

    - by Stephane Grenier
Basically I'm trying to proxy some webservices locally (for reasons I won't go into now) and then have a Java application call it. I'm looking at BlazeDS since it seems to do just this, mostly to avoid the crossDomain.xml file required by Flex to call webservices. However I can't seem to find any reference on how to connect through a Java client (probably using Axis2). Any suggestions, and especially tutorials, would be greatly appreciated.

  • Unable to change URL for .NET reference to dynamic web service

    - by Malvineous
Hi all, I have a web reference added to a C# .NET project. The URL for the web reference needs to change depending on whether I'm building for a development, staging or production environment. I've set the web service to be dynamic, which supposedly means it takes the URL from my app.config file. When I perform a build it overwrites the app.config with the required file which contains the correct URL (different file for each of dev/staging/production.) I then go into the solution properties and make sure the Settings.settings file is updated with the app.config changes. However when I view the properties for the web service, it is still showing the old URL, despite it being dynamic, and supposed to be reading from my settings file (even after closing and reopening the project/solution.) The app.config and the settings file all have the new URL, but the web reference doesn't notice it has changed. If I do a build it ignores the URL in the settings file and tries to connect to the last URL manually typed into the web reference's properties. Typing a URL into these properties correctly updates the app.config and .settings files, so the link is definitely there. I'm a bit new to .NET but it seems to me the purpose of setting the service to be dynamic is so that you can change the URL elsewhere, but when I do this it just gets ignored! Am I doing something wrong?

  • Jquery Delay Function Calls

    - by fizgig07
I'm trying to find a way to delay all code that takes place after I make a service call. The reason for this delay is that my service returns code necesarry for the following functions and the result I pass is to these following functions is undefined. I have tried attaching the setTimeout() to the function that is called directly after the service call, but then it just skips the function I set the timeout on and jumps to the next function...My web method that I am calling is not that big and is not doing anything that is too intensive public bool GetSpreadsheetStatusForAdmin(string cacId) { SpreadSheetStatus result = new SpreadSheetStatus(); List<Data.Spreadsheet> spreadsheets = SpreadsheetManager.GetUserSpreadsheets(GetCurrent.Identity); if (spreadsheets.Count != 0) { foreach (Data.Spreadsheet spreadsheet in spreadsheets) { if (spreadsheet.Status == SpreadsheetStatus.Pending) { return true; } } } return false; } I had found the delay() and thought that might work, but I don't have jquery 1.4 and can't use it as of yet. is there anything that can help..?

  • How to enforce a namespace in wsdl for inner elements

    - by wsxedc
    I am looking at an example WSDL <definitions xmlns:wsu="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:tns="http://mypackage/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" targetNamespace="http://mypackage/" name="HelloService"> <types> <xsd:schema> <xsd:import namespace="http://mypackage/" schemaLocation="http://localhost:8081/HelloWebService/HelloService?xsd=1"> </xsd:import> </xsd:schema> </types> <message name="sayHello"> <part name="parameters" element="tns:sayHello"></part> </message> <message name="sayHelloResponse"> <part name="parameters" element="tns:sayHelloResponse"></part> </message> <portType name="Hello"> <operation name="sayHello"> <input message="tns:sayHello"></input> <output message="tns:sayHelloResponse"></output> </operation> </portType> <binding name="HelloPortBinding" type="tns:Hello"> <soap:binding transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http" style="document"></soap:binding> <operation name="sayHello"> <soap:operation soapAction=""></soap:operation> <input> <soap:body use="literal"></soap:body> </input> <output> <soap:body use="literal"></soap:body> </output> </operation> </binding> <service name="HelloService"> <port name="HelloPort" binding="tns:HelloPortBinding"> <soap:address location="http://localhost:8081/HelloWebService/HelloService"> </soap:address> </port> </service> and the referenced xsd is <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xs:schema xmlns:tns="http://mypackage/" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" version="1.0" targetNamespace="http://mypackage/"> <xs:element name="sayHello" type="tns:sayHello"></xs:element> <xs:element name="sayHelloResponse" type="tns:sayHelloResponse"> </xs:element> <xs:complexType name="sayHello"> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="arg0" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"> </xs:element> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> <xs:complexType name="sayHelloResponse"> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="return" type="xs:string" minOccurs="0"> </xs:element> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> </xs:schema> When I use SoapUI to generate a request message, it looks like this <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:myp="http://mypackage/"> <soapenv:Header/> <soapenv:Body> <myp:sayHello> <arg0>?</arg0> </myp:sayHello> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> My question is, why doesn't arg0 need a namespace like ?? I am just using this as an example as the element that are children of soapenv always have a namespace prefix, however, the children of these children do not have any prefix. This is the case with soapUI and message sent by Axis2 generated stubs. My questions are: 1. Why aren't there any namespace for arg0? 2. Is there a way to enforce myp prefix on arg0 from WSDL? If so, how? If not, why can't it be done?

  • ASP.NET Deploying websites

    - by Bridget
I have some websites that use ImageMagick to convert images and place them in a created folder. Locally it all worked fine, but once I deployed it to my network's webserver it would not convert the images nor create the folders. My asp.net pages that read data from a database work. All the users have full control permissions over the site. I don't know if I need to modify the Web.config or some other permissions. Maybe it has to do with ImageMagick. I've just run out of ideas on what the problem could even POSSIBLY be. Any suggestions?

  • Avoid hourglass mouse cursor when calling a web-service?

    - by BigMoose
I don't know if this is a general web-services issue or just my specific scenario, which is a WPF application with a DispatcherTimer calling a web-service method. Whenever the timer is called, the mouse cursor automatically changes to an hourglass cursor. The processing of the call is very short and happens every 3 seconds, so the user experience is that every 3 seconds the mouse filckers as an hourglass for a split-second and then goes back to the normal cursor representation. How can I avoid this inconvenience? Thanks.

  • How to (simply) create new service objects in java jax-ws webservices?

    - by cibercitizen1
Is it possible in jax-ws to have a webmethod that creates a new object (of a service class) and returns a reference to it to the client caller (for the client, it's a remote reference) so that the client and this new service object maintain a session? (Therefore each client is served by a different instance). Schematically: client server o:Session -------- -------- ---------- s = server.access() ------------------> o = new Session() return o <--- o.doSomething() ----------------------------------------------> make it <--- o.doMore() --------------------------------------------------> make it <---

  • Eclipse vs Netbeans

    - by Zenzen
Some time ago (~4-5months ago) I attented a lecture about JEE and at some point the lecturer started talking about webservices and how hard it is to create a good one because all the IDEs make them in a bit different way (or something like that) and that in general it's better to use Netbeans to create them as Eclipse has some issues, the thing is he didn't really say why Eclipse is bad. Now I'm wondering is what he said true and why, is it really better to use Netbeans for webservices and why?

  • Can you return an array from a JAX-WS @WebMethod?

    - by LES2
I'm pretty sure you can, but in addition to answering the question in the title, could you also explain the pros, cons, caveats, if any, to doing so? I know that you can't return a List, Set, Collection, Map, or any interface, from a WebMethod (which is stupid, IMO, but I don't know what the design reasons were should I should probably withhold judgment). Thanks for any advice. -- LES

  • getting error as Internal Server error

    - by Rishi2686
Hi There, When I try to run my site it gives error as Internal Server error, when I refresh the page I get my result properly. The error page looks like this: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I also checked error_log file on my server, it gives error as: [Sat Jun 12 01:21:55 2010] [error] [client 117.195.6.76] File does not exist: /home/rohit25/public_html/test/500.shtml, referer: http://www.test.mysite.com/home.php sometimes error can be; [Sat May 29 19:35:12 2010] [error] [client 97.85.189.208] File does not exist: /home2/carlton/public_html/test/favicon.ico Are there any changes required in configuration file, I also tried to involve this error code in custom error page, it shows error page, which could not resolve this issue. Your urgent help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Accessing Securised Web Service

    - by Xstahef
Hi, I need to connect to a provider's web service with a Windows Form application. He gives me a certificate to access it but I have a security problem. I have done these following steps : Add certificate to personal store (on IE & Firefox) Generate a proxy with the remote wsdl (no problem) Use this code to call a method : `using (service1.MessagesService m = new service1.MessagesService()) { X509Certificate crt = new X509Certificate(@"C:\OpenSSL\bin\thecert.p12",string.Empty); m.ClientCertificates.Add(crt); var result = m.AuthoriseTransaction(aut); this.textBox1.AppendText(result.id.ToString()); }` I have the following error : The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the channel SSL / TLS. • How can I create and use a web service in public but still restrict its use to only my app?

    - by Glenn
I'm creating a web service with create/update/delete calls. But for now I'd like to restrict use of it on my own web app and no other clients. How can I have clear text javascript code that makes these calls but still be confident the credentials won't be used elsewhere? My idea is to use server side generated nonces for each request. But I am open to different ideas you guys may have. Thanks.
