  • UIImagePicker and Memory Warning Level 1

    - by user262829
Hello, Whenever I use a UIImagePicker to take a picker in my app, I get the following message in the debug console: Receive memory warning. Level=1 I am using the following code: imagePickerController = [[UIImagePickerController alloc] init]; imagePickerController.delegate = self; imagePickerController.sourceType = UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera; [window addSubview:imagePickerController.view]; imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:[window bounds]]; imageView.hidden = YES; [window addSubview:imageView]; [window makeKeyAndVisible]; Does anybody have any ideals? I did not notice this error until I started using the GM Seed for SDK4.

  • Git over SSH Server in Windows, cannot find shared libraries.

    - by Roy Marco Aruta
I was to setup an SSH Server to Host my Git Repository to my local area network. I followed this tutorial by TimDavis hoping that I would be able to make a secured Git Repository. I tested my connection using Putty and it was successful. My only problem was I cannot run "git" command in the console. Then I tried cloning my repository, and this was the error that outputed: /usr/bin/git-upload-pack.exe: error while loading shared libraries: libiconv2.dll: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Also when I ran "git" command in the Putty Bash that was connected to the SSH Server, this was the error I encountered: /usr/bin/git.exe: error while loading shared libraries: pthreadGC2.dll: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I seems that all my problem was about the missing libraries but I don't know how to solve it. I am using Windows 7 as an Operating System. Thanks

  • ASP.NET MVC & Silverlight development - on Ubuntu

    - by queen3
I recently moved my working environment from Windows 7 to Ubuntu, and enjoy this every minute of my working day. My work is currently to develop ASP.NET MVC and Silverlight applications. Thus, important Windows stuff is being still run in VirtualBox (such as IIS, MSSQL, Silverlight 3, and legacy COM stuff). For now, I use Visual Studio under VirtualBox as editor/IDE/debugger. But since I prefer Ubuntu fonts and UI much more I'd like to move at least editor (and better IDE) to native Ubuntu. Things I have already done: I store project files in my home folder and run Visual Studio from \vboxsvr share. With few tricks for ASP.NET it works. I use svn on Ubuntu. I test my ASP.NET MVC site using FireFox/FireBug on Ubuntu. What I need on Ubuntu: SQL client to manage MSSQL. I mostly need querying, but I would miss SQL intellisense support. I enjoy command-line svn a lot, but there're times when it's not enough (e.g. view files / check diffs / selectively commit at the sames time) so I wonder if there're any addons - I don't mean replacement for svn, just addons for rare cases like above. I wonder if there're editors that can provide some C# intellisense. Yes I know about MonoDevelop, but will it provide intellisense without compiling (since I'm going to compile remotely in Win box)? And pretty big topic, what's the best way (editor/IDE) to do "folder-based" development? What I mean: The project is /trunk. Everything is there. I don't want to manually add files to project or like that. The project is the folder and files down there. Main task is to edit files of course. I need a quick way to open / search for files in the project. Like in Resharper, I can click Ctrl-Shift-T (IIRC) and just type file name, a list of matching files in the project folder and below is shown. For example, gedit has file tree browser, but I can't quickly type XYZ to find all XYZ files there; moreover it doesn't automatically switch focus to/from editor; so it's more mouse-oriented; I need 100% keyboard way. I need syntax highlighting for C#/HTML/JS. Most importantly, I need HTML tags autocompletion. I can live without it, but I'll be sorry. I need to run compilation remotely (via ssh I think, invoking NAnt script which does MSBuild) and grab results such as errors and warnings, and I'd prefer to quickly go to error line/file. In short, I need to edit/search/open/svn/compile/run files in some folder. Looks like a case for command-line, but imaging I'm in /trunk and want to open file.cs inside /trunk/foo/bar/boo/far, I wouldn't want to type all this path even with bash autocompletion help. I'd prefer to enter :open file.cs, and maybe then select from list of file.cs and file1.cs. Well, maybe I'll add more soon. Actually, I don't have exact requirements; for example, I don't even know if I need to ask for IDE or editor; or should it have svn support integrated or I need to use it from console; do people work with files from console (search/commit/delete/etc) and open editor from there, or they work from editor/IDE and manage files (search/commit/delete) from there? What's better? I have a feeling that vim might have everything I need. I'd like to confirm that, before I spend a lot of time learning it. No I don't want Emacs. Any other IDE? I like Eclipse, but is it good for such stuff? And after all, do you feel like it's a good way to go? I enjoy Ubuntu, enjoy learning new stuff, and Ubuntu + Windows in VirtualBox actually runs faster than Windows7 on my mahcine, but maybe I need to keep development (editor/files management/etc) in Windows/VirtualBox only, leaving other stuff for Ubuntu?

  • gem2rpm includes all dependencies instead of including only runtime dependencies

    - by prunio
Version 0.6.0 of gem2rpm includes all (development and runtime) dependencies for a given Gem. Example: Rack Gem (http://rubygems.org/gems/rack) Version 1.1.0 has no runtime dependencies, but six development dependencies. Console output of gem2rpm --dependencies rack-1.0.1.gem is: rubygem(test-spec) = 0 rubygem(camping) = 0 rubygem(fcgi) = 0 rubygem(memcache-client) = 0 rubygem(mongrel) = 0 rubygem(ruby-openid) = 2.0.0 rubygem(thin) = 0` How can I specify to only include runtime dependencies? I have also opened a ticket on rubyforge.org, but there isn't a lot of activity on that tracker. Thank you for any hints.

  • Request a user's roles in AD when caller is not in domain

    - by grootjans
I would like to get a user's group memberships in an ActiveDirectory, without being in the domain. When I run this inside the domain, all is well. var context = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain); var principal = UserPrincipal.FindByIdentity(context, IdentityType.Name, "administrator"); foreach (var authorizationGroup in principal.GetAuthorizationGroups()) { Console.WriteLine(authorizationGroup.Name); } However, when I run outside the domain, I have to specify the PrincipalContext lie this: var context = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain, "10.0.1.255", "DC=test,DC=ad,DC=be", "administrator", "password"); When I run this code, I get an exception when I execute principal.GetAuthorizationGroups(). The exception I get is: System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.PrincipalOperationException: Information about the domain could not be retrieved (1355). at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.Utils.GetDcName(String computerName, String domainName, String siteName, Int32 flags) at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.ADStoreCtx.LoadDomainInfo() at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.ADStoreCtx.get_DnsDomainName() at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.ADStoreCtx.GetGroupsMemberOfAZ(Principal p) at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.UserPrincipal.GetAuthorizationGroupsHelper() at System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.UserPrincipal.GetAuthorizationGroups()

  • Animating sprites in Cocos2d

    - by Christian Budtz
    How do I avoid unneccesary deallocation? I'm running this code: CCSpriteFrameCache * cache = [CCSpriteFrameCache sharedSpriteFrameCache]; [cache addSpriteFramesWithFile:@"boosttexture.plist"]; CCAnimation * animation = [[CCAnimation alloc] initWithName:@"boosting" delay:1/24.0f]; [animation addFrame:[cache spriteFrameByName:@"ship.png"]]; [animation addFrame:[cache spriteFrameByName:@"ship_boost_l_r.png"]]; id action = [CCRepeatForever actionWithAction:[CCAnimate actionWithAnimation:animation]]; [spaceShipSprite runAction:action]; When the animaton is running (granted - its an ugly one), I get this in the console: 2010-04-14 13:40:16.311 Booster2K10Beta[521:20b] cocos2d: deallocing CCSpriteFrame = 00EBA620 | TextureName=4, Rect = (1.00,32.00,32.00,32.00) 2010-04-14 13:40:16.411 Booster2K10Beta[521:20b] cocos2d: deallocing CCSpriteFrame = 00EBA620 | TextureName=4, Rect = (1.00,32.00,32.00,32.00) 2010-04-14 13:40:16.496 Booster2K10Beta[521:20b] cocos2d: deallocing CCSpriteFrame = 00EBA620 | TextureName=4, Rect = (1.00,32.00,32.00,32.00) It seems unneccesary that the same SpriteFrame gets dealloc'ed 24 times per second - how do I avoid that?

  • Recycle remote IIS app pool

    - by Abhijeet Patel
I would like to use DirectoryServices to list and recycle App Pools hosted on any machine in my Workgroup. My approach is similar to some of the answers posted to this question, but in my case I'd like to do this for a remote machine running IIS 6. I'm prototyping this as a console app but will eventually be providing a web interface to allow recycling a selected app pool for a specified machine. Where can I specify the credentials to use for making Directory Services call to a remote machine. I hope I'm phrasing this correctly.

  • Why TabControl.SelectedContent != (TabControl.SelectedItem as TabItem).Content ?

    - by CannibalSmith
    The following sample shouldn't beep (in my opinion) but it does. Why? Does that mean the SelectedContent property is useless? Is it a bug in WPF? <TabControl SelectionChanged="TabControl_SelectionChanged"> <TabItem Header="Tab 1"> <Grid/> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="Tab 2"> <Grid/> </TabItem> </TabControl>   void TabControl_SelectionChanged(object sender, SelectionChangedEventArgs e) { var t = sender as TabControl; if (t.SelectedContent != (t.SelectedItem as TabItem).Content) Console.Beep(); }

  • I can't get onChange to fire for dijit.form.Select

    - by user306462
I seem unable to correctly attach the onchange event to a dijit.form.Select widget. However, I am new to web development, so I could be doing something completely idiotic (although, as best I can tell (and I've read all the docs I could find) I'm not). I made sure the body class matches the dojo theme, that I dojo.require() for all the widgets I use (and dojo.parser), and still, nada. The code I'm using is: dojo.addOnLoad (function () { var _query = dojo.query('.toggle'); for (var i=0; i < _query.length; i++) { dojo.connect(_query[i], 'onchange', function (ev) { console.log(ev + ' fired onchange'); }); } }); Any help at all would be appreciated.

  • C# How to add an entry to LDAP with multiple object classes

    - by Jarmo
I'm trying to create a new user record into OpenLDAP with object classes person and uidObject. The problem seems to be that with System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry I've found only a way to add a new entry with one object class, but not a way to add multiple object classes. This C# code DirectoryEntry nRoot = new DirectoryEntry(path); nRoot.AuthenticationType = AuthenticationTypes.None; nRoot.Username = username; nRoot.Password = pwd; try { DirectoryEntry newUser = nRoot.Children.Add("CN=" + "test", "person"); newUser.Properties["cn"].Add("test"); newUser.Properties["sn"].Add("test"); newUser.Properties["objectClass"].Add("uidObject"); // this doesnt't make a difference newUser.Properties["uid"].Add("testlogin"); // this causes trouble newUser.CommitChanges(); } catch (COMException ex) { Console.WriteLine(ex.ErrorCode + "\t" + ex.Message); } ...results in error: -2147016684 The requested operation did not satisfy one or more constraints associated with the class of the object. • Android: How to receive process signals in an activity to kill child process ?

    - by user355993
My application calls Runtime.exec() to launch an executable in a separate process at start up time. I would like this child process to get killed when the parent activity exits. Now I can use onDestroy() to handle regular cases, but not "Force quit", shutdowns from DDMS, or kill from the console since those don't run onDestroy(). The addShutdownHandler() does not seem to be invoked in these cases either. Is there any other hook or signal handler that informs my activity that it's about to get terminated ? As an alternative is there a way to have the system automatically kill the child process when the parent dies ?

  • Batch break up after call other batch file

    - by Sven Arno Jopen
i have the problem, that my batch process breaking up each time after call a other batch file. The batch files are used to run a make process out from IBM Rhapsody. There convert the call from Rhapsody to the Visual Studio tools. So nmake will be called from the batch after make different settings. The scripts aren’t written completely from me, I only adapt theme to run under both windows architecture versions, x86 and x64. The first script (vs2005_make.bat) will be called from Rhapsody and run to the “call” statement. The second script (Vcvars_VisualStudio2005.bat) runs to the end. But the first script isn’t resume working, at this point the process break up without a error message. I'm not very familiar with batch files, this is the first time I make more than simple console commands in a batch file. So I hope I have given all information’s which needed, otherwise ask me. Here the start script (vs2005_make.bat): :: parameter 1 - Makefile which should be used :: parameter 2 - The make target mark @echo off IF "%2"=="" set target=all IF "%2"=="all" set target=all IF "%2"=="build" set target=all IF "%2"=="rebuild" set target=clean all IF "%2"=="clean" set target=clean set RegQry="HKLM\Hardware\Description\System\CentralProcessor\0" REG.exe Query %RegQry% > checkOS.txt Find /i "x86" < CheckOS.txt > StringCheck.txt IF %ERRORLEVEL%==0 ( set arch=x86 ) ELSE ( set arch=x64 ) call "%ProgramFiles%\IBM\Rhapsody752\Share\etc\Vcvars_VisualStudio2005.bat" %arch% IF %ERRORLEVEL%==0 ( set makeflags= nmake /nologo /S /F %1 %target% ) del checkOS.txt del StringCheck.txt exit and here the called script (Vcvars_VisualStudio2005.bat): :: param 1 - Processor architecture @echo off ECHO param 1 = %1 IF %1==x86 ( SET ProgrammPath=%ProgramFiles% ) ELSE IF %1==x64 ( SET ProgrammPath=%ProgramFiles(x86)% ) ELSE ( ECHO Unknowen architectur EXIT /B 1 ) SET VSINSTALLDIR="%ProgrammPath%\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE" SET VCINSTALLDIR="%ProgrammPath%\Microsoft Visual Studio 8" SET FrameworkDir=C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework SET FrameworkVersion=v2.0.50727 SET FrameworkSDKDir="%ProgrammPath%\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0" rem Root of Visual Studio common files. Note: The word “Mehr?” in the text output is german and means “more”. I don't know were it comes from and it is possible that it is a bad translation from the English output to german.

  • How to convert an object into a double?

    - by george t.
I am working on VS C# on the following code, which converts an user input math expression and computes it. MSScriptControl.ScriptControl sc = new MSScriptControl.ScriptControl(); sc.Language = "VBScript"; sc.ExecuteStatement( "function pi\n" + "pi = 3.14159265\n" + "end function"); sc.ExecuteStatement( "function e\n" + "e = exp(1)\n" + "end function"); expression = textBox1.Text.ToString(); expression = expression.Replace("x", i.ToString()); object y = sc.Eval(expression); string k = y.ToString(); double result = double.Parse(k); While this outputs onto the console with the correct result, I want to use the values to make a graph of the function user inputs and it's not doing it correctly. Thank you for your help.

  • [C#] Is variable assignment and reading atomic operation (threading)

    - by AStrangerGuy
I was unable to find any reference to this in the documentations... Is assigning to a double (or any other simple type, including boolean) an atomic operation viewed from the perspective of threads? double value = 0; public void First() { while(true) { value = (new Random()).NextDouble(); } } public void Second() { while(true) { Console.WriteLine(value); } } In this code sample, first method is called in one thread, and the second in another. Can the second method get a messed up value if it gets its execution during assignment to the variable in another thread? I don't care if I recieve the old value, it's only important to receive a valid value (not one where 2 out of 8 bytes are set). I know it's a stupid question, but I want to be sure, cause I don't know how CLR actually sets the variables. Thanks

  • Updating onclick's string value with Greasemonkey

  • WCF, net.tcp, and ASP.NET development server

    - by bryanjonker
I'm setting up a net.tcp WCF service using instructions here: http://blogs.msdn.com/swiss_dpe_team/archive/2008/02/08/iis-7-support-for-non-http-protocols.aspx One of the steps says to do the following: "If you open the IIS7 management console and you look at the advance setting of our IIS7HostedService Web Application, you will see that in the Enabled Protocols section just http is defined. You now have to add net.tcp (separated by a comma), so that our service will be able to respond also to TCP requests." This is fine, but what if I want to use the Cassini / VS2010 ASP.NET development server to debug (hitting F5 or cntrl-F5)? I don't think there's a way to change the settings in that IIS. Or is there? Are other programmers just so awesome that they don't need to go through the debugger? Or do they use wsHttpBinding?

  • Symfony2 trans_default_domain is not working

    - by user1069843
At the end of http://symfony.com/doc/current/book/translation.html#twig-templates I read about {% trans_default_domain "app" %} to set a translation domain for a whole template. But for me it does not work. Calling app/console translation:extract de --dir=src/ --output-dir=app/Resources/translations --output-format=xliff --keep Just puts all messages in the messages.de.xliff file. But if I set the domain manually for a given label like {{ label.name|trans({}, 'app') }} And execute the same extract command as above, then I get a new file app.de.xliff Is there anything more to do when using trans_default_domain?

However, when I build the program, I get this linker error: LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'libboost_program_options-vc90-mt-gd-1_42.lib' The build log adds this (I've replaced project-specific paths with *'s): Creating temporary file "******\Debug\RSP00001252363252.rsp" with contents [ /OUT:"*********.exe" /INCREMENTAL /LIBPATH:"C:\Program Files\boost\boost_1_42_0\lib" /MANIFEST /MANIFESTFILE:"Debug\hw6.exe.intermediate.manifest" /MANIFESTUAC:"level='asInvoker' uiAccess='false'" /DEBUG /PDB:"********\Debug\***.pdb" /SUBSYSTEM:CONSOLE /DYNAMICBASE /NXCOMPAT /MACHINE:X86 kernel32.lib user32.lib gdi32.lib winspool.lib comdlg32.lib advapi32.lib shell32.lib ole32.lib oleaut32.lib uuid.lib odbc32.lib odbccp32.lib ".\Debug\****.obj" ".\Debug\****.exe.embed.manifest.res" ] Creating command line "link.exe @********\Debug\RSP00001252363252.rsp /NOLOGO /ERRORREPORT:PROMPT" I've also emailed [email protected] (with a message very similar to this), but I thought maybe so would be faster.

  • What should I use - Mako or Django?

    - by mridang
Hi guys, I'm making a website that mail users when a movie or a pc game has released. It isn't too complex - users can sign up, choose movies/music or a genre and save the settings. When the movie/music is released - it mails the user. Some other functionality too but this is the jist. Now, I've been working with Python for a bit but mainly in the area of console apps. For web: what should I use, the web framework Django or the templating engine Mako? I can't seem to decide between the two. :( Thanks
