  • Cherokee web server on Ubuntu Lucid

    I've been trying to find some decent tutorials on how to set up a recent release of Cherokee webserver on Ubuntu (or equivalent Linux distros) which outline how to setup the webserver, mysql, phpmyadmin and php. Some already exist, such as http://www.howtoforge.com/installing-cherokee-with-php5-and-mysql-support-on-ubuntu-10.04 however, I've found that the Cherokee version used in the tutorial is considerably out of date and the update process has been painful to say the least. There are 3 users on the instance that I would essentially like to 'log ship' if thats what it is called on Oracle! Can anyone suggest anything?   • internet disconnects

    Internet disconnects and reconnects, computer is in a peer to peer workstation with two other computers XP o/s. Only one computer has this problem the other two don't disconnect. Computer's connect to switch no router is being used. Ipconfig shows a DHCP connection, local area connection status shows packets being sent out but packets are not being received or being received at a extremely slow rate. Tried Winstock tool, reinstalling network card driver, restored to previous date, checked ethernet cable and release/renew IP.

    could anybody suggest a light (small, fast) text editor that can handle columnar view of csv files? save quote character to all fields, even if not 'necessary' OpenOffice Calc is bit big for my old laptop. My favourite Notepad++ cannot do the columnar view. And it seems to me that Sharp Tools Spreadsheet cannot import csv file. GoogleDoc convert some date fields by default which I do not want and it is really not fast and easy way how to edit csv.

    I'm running windows 7 via bootcamp on my MBP (the model that was newest in summer 2009). Bootcamp is up to date. Windows 7 just suggested I install a new driver for my nvidia card. However, I was under the impression bootcamp provided the most optimal drivers for windows 7 to run on my MBP's hardware. Should I stick with what bootcamp gives for my video driver, or update to the one windows 7 suggests?

The links on the pages that lack trailing slashes do have https:// in front, but get redirected to a http request with a trailing slash - which ends in connection refused - I only want these services to be available through https.
