    I have created a view in interface builder that contains another view (content area) and a button bar at the bottom. The hierarchy is as: ->View --->mapContainer UIView ----->map MKMapView ----->OverlayView UIView --->ToolBar UIToolBar I would like the mapContainer to resize to full window when the ToolBar is hidden. I would like the map and the OverlayView to resize to the mapContainer size I have attempted the following code, but it has no effect.     Here is a peace of code: void MyFunc(List<MyObj> objects) { MyFunc1(objects); foreach( MyObj obj in objects.Where(obj1=>obj1.Good)) { // Do Action With Good Object } } void MyFunc1(List<MyObj> objects) { int iGoodCount = objects.Where(obj1=>obj1.Good).Count(); BeHappy(iGoodCount); // do other stuff with 'objects' collection } Here we see that collection is analyzed twice and each time the value of 'Good' property is checked for each member: 1st time when calculating count of good objects, 2nd - when iterating through all good objects. It is desirable to have that optimized, and here is a straightforward solution: before call to MyFunc1 makecreate an additional temporary collection of good objects only (goodObjects, it can be IEnumerable); get count of these objects and pass it as an additional parameter to MyFunc1; in the 'MyFunc' method iterate not through 'objects.Where(...)' but through the 'goodObjects' collection. Not too bad approach (as far as I see), but additional parameter is required to be passed. Question: is there any LinQ out-of-the-box functionality that allows any caching during 1st Where().Count(), remembering a processed collection and use it in the next iteration? Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

  • NSView only redraws on breakpoint

    I have a custom view inside a NSPopover. It should change according to user input and it does the first time the user interact with it but it fails to redraw the following times. I have tried to put an NSLog inside the -drawRect: method and it doesn't get called during normal execution. When I try to debug and put a breakpoint inside the method it gets called normally and the app works as it should. I explicitly call the view -setNeedsDisplay: method every time I need it to redraw. I don't understand why it should make a difference. Here is the code that update the status of the view. These methods are part of the NSTextField delegate method -textDidChange: and I checked that these get called every time the user type something in the textfield associated with popover. [tokenCloud tokensToHighlight:[NSArray arrayWithObject:completeSuggestionString]]; tokenCloud.tokens = filteredTokens; [tokenCloud setNeedsDisplay:YES]; The views is a series of recessed button. The first line update the status of all the buttons in the popover and the second add or delete buttons. They both work properly because the first time they are called the view is update properly. I have also checked that both the status of the buttons in tokenCloud and its property tokens are updated correctly. The problem is that the NSView subclass, tokenCloud, doesn't redraw so the changes are not reflected in the UI the second time. Here is the draw method of the view: - (void)drawRect:(NSRect)rect { [self recalculateButtonLocations]; NSLog(@"Redrawn"); } Again this method gets called normally every time I update the view if I place a breakpoint in [self recalculateButtonLocations];. If instead I let the app run normally nothing gets logged in the console the second time I update the view. Same thing if I include the NSLog in the recalculateButtonLocations method, nothing gets logged the second time meaning that the method is not called.

    What would be the least-slow thread-safe mechanism for controlling multiple accesses to a collection in Java? I am adding objects to the top of a collection and i am very unsure what would be the best performing collection. Would it be a vector or a queue? I originally thought an ArrayList would be fast but i ran some experiments and it was very slow. EDIT: In my insertion testing a Vector delared using volatile seems to be the fastest?

    If I have a class that contains a std::list<Foo>, how can I implement iterators to a Foo* collection, preferably without using boost? I'd rather not maintain a parallel collection of pointers. For now I have std::list<Foo>, mostly so that removing or inserting an element does not invalidate all other iterators, but would it be possible to implement other iterators too, so that the collection type used in the implementation is opaque to the user of the class?

    So a collection in VB6 keeps track of a key for each object, and you can look up the object by its key. Does that mean collections are implemented as some sort of hashtable under the hood? I realize you can have multiple items with the same key in a collection, hence the SOME SORT. Anybody know what type data structure a VB6 collection is supposed to represent?

  • How do i view the index version of a file before it is committed?

    I have just performed add --interactive, so the index version of some files is different than the working-directory versions. Instead of doing diff --cached, I want to actually dump the contents of each file in the index, but I can't find a command to do that. I should think that there would be something like "git show INDEX:filename...", but "INDEX" is not a valid object name. I was able to do git ls --cached, then git show , but there should be a more straightforward method to see what you are committing.

  • Why a revert a file in EGit, but the dirty symbol '<' still exist in the project view?

    I try EGit revert for several days, It's very confuse that when I revert the file following the user guide, and I still got the file dirty symbol in the related file. http://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/User_Guide#Reverting_Changes I choose 'Replace with' - 'File in Git Index', it works, the content has been revert, but the symbol stays the same, sometimes, the symbol will disappear after a while, but sometimes, it didn't disappear. I'm using eclipse on windows, I'm not sure it's about the '\r\n' character. But I use 'Compare with ' - 'File in Git Index', two files look the same. Hope someone can tell me why, I think it can be a bug? Thank you in advance.
