The urls are dynamic and contain 2-3 values for each result (www.example.com or example.org).     I have a master page which references a style in the following manner: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../../Content/Style.css" /> All my pages inherit from this master page. And this works well when the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/details/5, however the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/create, then, of course, Style.css cannot be found because `../../Content/Style.css' resolves to a directory one higher where there is nothing there. How is this typically handled?

    My host will not allow me to change the default folder of my primary domain. I have managed to Rewrite http://www.mysite.com to the real folder public_html/mysite.com/www/ with the following code: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^$ /mysite.com/www/ [R=301,L] This does successfully load my domain from the subfolder, but the url becomes: http://mysite.com/mysite.com/www/ How can I continue loading requests from http://mysite.com/index.html in the correct folder shown above, without showing it in the client-side url?

    Hey All. I need to do a mass 301 Redirect for all pages ending with .html for my site. I am looking to move all the old .html files to a sub-folder ir. RedirectMatch 301 (.*)\.html$ http://www.domain.com/folder/$1.html When I add this and refresh the browser I get a ton of folder/folder/folder now after the url ie domain.com/folder//folder/folder/folder.....     I am using the urllib2 module in Python 2.6.4, running in Windows XP, to access a URL. I am making a post request, that does not involve cookies or https or anything too complicated. The domain is redirected in my C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file. However, I would like the request from urllib2 to go to the "real" domain and ignore the entry in the hosts file. Is there any easy and practical way to do this?

  • SSIS DTS Package flat file error - "The file name specified in the connection was not valid"

    I have a pretty basic SSIS package that is attempting to read a file hosted on a share, and import its contents to a database table. The package runs fine when I run it manually within SSIS. However, when I set up a SQL Agent job and attempt to execute it, I get the following error: Executed as user: DOMAIN\UserName. This leads me to believe it's a permissions issue, but every attempt I've made to fix it has failed. What I've tried so far: Run as the SQL Agent account (DOMAIN\SqlAgent) - yields same error. DOMAIN\SqlAgent has "Full Control" permissions on both the share and the uploaded file. Set up a proxy account with a different account's credentials (DOMAIN\Account) - yields same error. Like above, "Full Control" permissions were given over the share to that account. Gave "Everyone" full control permissions over the share (temporarily!). Yielded same error. Manually copied the file to a local path and tested with the SQL Agent account. Worked properly. Added an ActiveX script task that would first copy the remotely hosted file to a local path, and then have the DTS package reference the local file. Gave a completely nondescriptive (even by SSIS standards) error when trying to run the script. Set up a proxy account, using my own personal account's credentials - worked correctly. However, this is not an acceptable solution as there are password policies in place on my account, as well as being a bad practice to set things up this way in general. Any ideas? I'm still convinced it's a permissions issue. However, what I've read from various searches more or less says giving the executing account permissions on the share should work. However, this is not the case here (unless I'm missing something obscure when I'm setting up permissions on the share).

Example: Facebook pictures are on "photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net" Why is that? Is there a performance-gain in not having lots of subdomains on the "primary" domain (facebook.com)

  • WMI: Editing the Registry Remotely

    I'm trying to use the following code (poorly written, but it's just a proof of concept) to edit the registry of a computer on a domain. I have a domain account, and I've verified that the domain admin group is present in the local admin group on the machines I'm attempting to affect. I've connected to these other machines to perform other administrative type tasks, so I'm sure that I have administrative privileges on these hosts. All of StdRegProv's "get" methods work fine (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa393664%28VS.85%29.aspx) but the "set" or "create" methods as well as check access all return "5" which is "Error_Access_Denied" according to winerror.h. So there's the problem: why do I get access denied when attempting to modify the registry? If anyone can help me figure this out, you'd have my utmost appreciation! I almost forgot, when I fire up Visual Studio in admin mode on my local machine and run the code against the local machine, it works flawlessly.   • How do I get apache RewriteRule working correctly for a subdomain?

    I just setup a subdomain with the following RewriteCond: RewriteCond $1 !^search.php$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule ^/?([^/]+)$ search.php?q=$1 [L,NS] I'm using the same rewrite condition on my main domain and it works perfectly. However, when I set it up on the subdomain, it simply outputs "index.php" when going to http://sub.domain.com Every page on the subdomain outputs the page name in the body instead of processing the code, except for the search page, which appears to be working correctly. What can I do to correct this issue?

    I know that, for security reasons, javascript can't read the contents of an iframe if it belongs to a different domain. This makes sense, given that the entire page could be an iframe with snooping scripts outside of the frame. The question is - are there equal limitations in the other direction? The spec can be found at: http://opensocial-resources.googlecode.com/svn/spec/1.0/Social-Data.xml#Person In the 1.0 data specification there is no XSD and no examples showing the use of this generic Plural-Field. After puzzeling the spec for some time I think I might understand the user of this generic. I was hoping that someone could confirm or correct my understanding. For example the accounts field is a generic Plural-Field<Account> while the activities field is Plural-Field <string>.
