  Hi I'm quite new to SSIS - using 2008 version. I have a job that uses a few data flow tasks. On the third one I'm getting a primary key violation on the last row that it needs to insert, but only sometimes! I'd like to ignore this problem for now and let the job continue. I have set the MaximumErrorCount property to 10 for the DataFlowTaks, the SequenceContainer and for the Package but still taks fails and this causes the package to stop. Could anyone please advise how I can get the package to ignore the error? Thanks Rob.

  I have a C program which puts one unique value inside a test file (it would be a two digit number). Now I want to run a shell script to read that number and then compare with my required number (e.g. 40). The comparison should deliver "equal to" or "greater". For example: The output of the C program is written into the file called c.txt with the value 36, and I want to compare it with the number 40. So I want that comparison to be "equal to" or "greater" and then echo the value "equal" or "greater".

• Using SSIS, how do you read a datetime field into a variable that is of Data Type string?

  This one has bugged me for the longest time and a great question to ask the Stackoverflow users I think. I have a rather large SSIS flow that uses a string variable to store the datetime. I would now like to dynamically read the datetime value from the database, but how would you construct the SSIS to do this? My first obvious thought would be to simply execute a SQL task to get the datetime and store it in the variable, but got the "differs from the current variable type" error. Is there a simple way to convert the database datetime into a String variable? Any help from the community would be appreciated,

• Why can i not upload images to my folder anymore?

  This was something I had working a few weeks back but after I made some changes to my view file images are now no longer being saved into my assets/uploads folder. I keep getting back the error - You did not select a file to upload. This is despite having made sure the path is definitely correct. What am i doing wrong here? • Why is volatile not considered useful in multithreaded C or C++ programming?

  As demonstrated in this answer I recently posted, I seem to be confused about the utility (or lack thereof) of volatile in multi-threaded programming contexts. My understanding is this: any time a variable may be changed outside the flow of control of a piece of code accessing it, that variable should be declared to be volatile. Signal handlers, I/O registers, and variables modified by another thread all constitute such situations. So, if you have a global int foo, and foo is read by one thread and set atomically by another thread (probably using an appropriate machine instruction), the reading thread sees this situation in the same way it sees a variable tweaked by a signal handler or modified by an external hardware condition and thus foo should be declared volatile (or, for multithreaded situations, accessed with memory-fenced load, which is probably a better a solution). How and where am I wrong?

• Instantaneous frequency not plotting correctly in Matlab

  I'm trying to convert square wave data to instantaneous frequency and plot against time. It works correctly for one data set, but three others are plotting as shown in the image: http://i.imgur.com/iuL648o.png Time is linear, so it shouldn't be plotting like that. Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on?   I've recently installed mod_fastcgi and Apache 2.2. I have a simple cgi script as below (test.fcgi): #!/bin/sh echo sadjad But when I invoke 'mysite.com/test.fcgi' I see "Internal Server Error" after a short period of time. Any recommendations for getting bootstrapped? To clarify -- I don't need an "into to programming" book. E.g., what's a variable, flow control, etc. I understand the concepts of OO having implemented them, etc. I'm looking for the best way to get to the specifics of C++.

• How can you setup multiple WSGI apps on one server?

  I'm working on a python based server product where a user can install WSGI-based python apps on their server. I can enforce any restriction on the application structure or format to make this easy. The user workflow would be: browse an app market, showing a list of WSGIpython apps select an app and choose "install" the app would be downloaded from a remote server to the user's server the http server would then have to be configured to start serving that application from the app's id, ex. a blog app with an id of "blog" at "/blog/", so all requests below /blog/ would be seen as root by the blog application. Any suggestions on how to set something like this up? Holler if my flow of consciousness lost you ;)

• Connection: Keep-Alive and PHP sessions not working

  We have a VB application that needs to run an specific flow on a PHP page. This application was correctly catching the PHPSESSID cookie and using it for all subsequent requests. However, PHP wasn't able to restore any changes made on $_SESSION variable. The variable was changed, saved, and on the next request it was restored as an empty array. We found out that changing the Connection header from "Keep-Alive" to "Close" fixed the issue. I couldn't find anything on the web saying that PHP sessions shouldn't be restored under Keep-Alive connections. Does anyone know why this was happening? PS: We didn't find anything weird or different on Apache, ModSecurity or PHP configuration settings.

Standard project types will be added to the platform by default. The project type defines the way in which the different software will be executed and their input and output files. The user can customize the available standard project type and that will be added to the platform as new project type which defines new custom execution flow. Also it should support easy extension and customization of the features. I read that plug-in based architecture supports both. What are the advantages and disadvantages of plug-in based architecture?   There is a pretty awesome applescript called "Open Terminal Here" ( http://www.entropy.ch/software/applescript/ ) which you can add to your finder's toolbar and click when you want to launch a terminal console which is set to that directory. Sometimes I need to be root, and so I end up starting terminal, doing something like sudo -i and then I have to change back to the previous directory because the sudo command is landing me in /var/root. I'm using sudo -i because I like it to load things like aliases / the bash profile. The script is applescript, and here's the important part of how it works: ... set cmd to "cd " & quoted form of the_path & " && echo $'\\ec'" ... tell application "Terminal" activate do script with command cmd How do I get this to load as root?

• How to find out on which internet addresses a java program can listen.

  My program needs to listen incoming socket connections (lets agree on port 8765), but it doesn't know which addresses it can bind on a particular machine. Of, course, it could simply to listen to all of them, but it need to send to the client program over a different(slower) channel the addresses which it should try in order to rich me on port 8765. So the flow is like this: My program lisens on all available interfaces on port 8765 Finds out a list of inet4 adresses by which it can be possibly reached (this step is the actual question) Posts that address on a whiteboard (blogpost or something) Interested clients try out all of them, to see using which one they can reach my program. This is all is to be done in java ofcourse :)

• BASH_ENV ignored on solaris?

  In my .bash_profile, executed for both my interactive and non-interactive logins are BASH_ENV=$HOME/.myinteractivestuff export BASH_ENV doing this for bash on Linux works fine, but on Solaris is not sourced: bash --version GNU bash, version 3.00.16(1)-release (sparc-sun-solaris2.10) Curiously, if I invoke screen within my login shell, BASH_ENV is then read. Are any restrictions on when $BASH_ENV is respected on Solaris? In my case I'm logging in with ssh using putty, but also tried unix to unix ssh, and telnet and see the same. Note that I know that my BASH_ENV variable assignment is being executed since I can echo this variable after login without any trouble (ie: ruling out the obvious possibility that my .bash_profile is also not being read).

• Hot swap in Ubuntu Server not working

  I am running Ubuntu Server 10.04 (lucid lynx), and I just purchased a hot-swap compatible hdd bay and installed it. When I insert a hot-swappable SATA drive, the drive does not show up after running ls /dev/sd?. If I reboot the server, then after it comes back up the drive appears. I have checked /var/log/messages and nothing shows up when I insert the drive, only after rebooting. I have tried the following: $ sudo echo "0 0 0" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host4/scan $ sudo partprobe` $ sudo udevadm trigger Every answer I've found searching Google was one of the things I listed in "I have tried..." and I don't really know what to do at this point. Does anyone know why this occurring?

• Bootstrapped Ubuntu 12.04 EC2 instance. Where to find log?

  So I bootstrapped a shell script to install and run a bunch of tasks. Looks like the it ran for the most part, but I added one part and that was formatting an extra EBS volume. Pretty straightforward: mkfs.ext4 /dev/xvdf mkdir –m 000 /vol01 echo “/dev/xvdf /vol01 auto noatime 0 0” | sudo tee –a /etc/fstab sudo mount /vol01 I was able to install MongoDB, NGINX and Forever. I selected to use /dev/xdvf in the AWS console and see it. The 3rd line is not in fstab either. I've searched through various logs in /var/log/ but I don't really see much indicating the execution of the bootstrap. Logs that I see and looked through: auth.log boot.log dmesg dpkg.log syslog udev

• How to set the component size with GridLayout? Is there a better way?

  Hello guys, I am working on a larger GUI with Java and I am becoming angry on Layout Managers. I have a "Settings-Panel" with a variable number of JComponents in it (Labels, Buttons, JSpinners, JSliders,...). I just want the following: JLabel <- JComponent JLabel <- JComponent JLabel <- JComponent ... My Panel has a size of 500px, so that there is enough space for a lot of components. Unfortunatly the GridLayout always stretches the size of the Components to the whole Panel, even if I set a MaximumSize for every component. It looks stupid if there are only two buttons each with a height of 250px. I tried flow Layout, but i cannot figure out a way to make new lines properly. I tried BoxLayout.Y_AXIS, but the Components are always centered, and Label and Component are not in the same line. Does anybody know a good and short way with LayoutManagers to handle this properly?

  I am new to bash, and I am creating a script that loops through the files in a directory and based on part of the filename, does something with the file, so far I have this: #!/bin/bash DIR="/Users/me/Documents/import/*" for f in "$DIR" do $t=?????? echo "Loading $f int $t..." done so $f will output something like this: /Users/me/Documents/import/time_dim-1272037430173 out of this, I want time_dim, the directory can be variable length and -1272037430173 is a fixed length (it's the unix timestamp btw). What is the best way to go about this?
