    Hi , I have tried Asp.Net but they have minimum sets of tutorials and videos. I am looking for a video tutorials like pluralsight training videos which is not free. But I am looking for free training videos for Vb.Net/webforms and SQL "CRUD", Sql DataBinding videos, runtime designing , runtime databinding and all. Thanking you all in advance. And also I am sorry if this is a repeat question. And one thing which I like to say is why do people go first with winforms when someone says vb.net ? Is there any specific way to say for webforms ? OR how should I say it for web development in VB?

  • SQL Server 2008 full-text search doesn't find word in words?

    In the database I have a field with a .mht file. I want to use FTS to search in this document. I got this working, but I'm not satisfied with the result. For example (sorry it's in dutch, but I think you get my point) I will use 2 words: zieken and ziekenhuis. As you can see, the phrase 'zieken' is in the word 'ziekenhuis'. When I search on 'ziekenhuis' I get about 20 results. When I search on 'zieken' I get 7 results. How is this possible? I mean, why doesn't the FTS resturn the minimal results which I get from 'ziekenhuis'?     I have scoured for 2 hours now across the internet, I have found courses with modules on software constructs but no clear definition only hints as to what one is. As far as I understand the definition it is an object that can be defined with a purpose for example a TCP/IP connection uses a Port which is a Software construct. Can anyone refer me to a full definition or give a more robust one?

  • How to find control points for a BezierSegment given Start, End, and 2 Intersection Pts in C# - AKA

    Hi, I've been struggling looking for an understandable way to do this. I have four points, a StartPt, EndPoint, and Intersection points to represent the peak and valley in the bezier. The BezierSegment in C# requires start, controlPoint 1, controlPoint 2, endpoint - however I don't have any control points I only have these two points that lie along the bezier curves (i'm calling them intersection points above)... how can I calculate the two control points? Thanks in advance, this has been driving me crazy. There's some kind of explanation here: http://www.tinaja.com/glib/nubz4pts1.pdf but it's written in postscript and that language makes no sense to me at all - it's over my head.

    I have implemented contextual menus in QTreeView items with the following code MyDerivedQTreeView->setModel(MyDerivedQAbstractItemModel); MyDerivedQTreeView->setContextMenuPolicy(Qt::CustomContextMenu); connect(MyDerivedQTreeView, SIGNAL(customContextMenuRequested(const QPoint &)), MyDerivedQAbstractItemModel(), SLOT(contextualMenu(const QPoint &))); void MyDerivedQAbstractItemModel::contextualMenu(const QPoint& point) { QMenu *menu = new QMenu; menu->addAction(QString("Test Item"), this, SLOT(test_slot())); menu->exec(MyDerivedQTreeView->mapToGlobal(point)); } MyDerivedQAbstractItemModel::contextualMenu() gets called and I can see the contextual menu. Problem is contextual menu should be visible only if user right-clicks on an item and it should be customized as per the item selected. How do I get whether/which item is selected from QPoint information? I am on Qt 4.5.3.

  • Using unmanaged code, how can I find a type that has a given custom attribute assigned to it?

    I had thought I could enumerate the types using IMetaDataImport.EnumTypeDefs and for each of the tokens returned, call IMetaDataImport.EnumCustomAttributes. This works, in so much as I get an array of mdCustomAttribute tokens. Using these tokens I can get a metadata token representing the Type of the returned custom attribute, by calling IMetaDataImport.GetCustomAttributeProps. Comparing my results against ILDASM, I can see that this matches the "CustomAttribute Type" that ILDASM reports. However, I cannot work out how to determine the "CustomAttributeName" that ILDASM reports. This is what I really want! While I would be interested in knowing how to get the CustomAttributeName, I would settle for an alternate approach to solving the problem.

I understand that this should be doable using the core BSD libraries, but we are new to this, so it would be great if someone can point us to some starter code. Note: we're trying to determine the MAC address of the remote device - not the MAC address of the iPhone.

    I'm writing a freeware version of an app and would like to check if a user already has the unfree version installed, and print a message whose contents are conditional on the results of the installation check... anybody know if this is possible? the closest I've come to a solution is to make use of the CFPreferencesSetValue API with a kCFPreferencesAnyUser / kCFPreferencesCurrentHost pairing... I haven't tried it, but based on the documentation it sounds possible. however in my current specific situation this API will not be able to solve my problem, because I want to check for the presence of an app I wrote 4 months ago that didn't write any data to the CFPrefs registry... because back then I didn't know of it nor did I foresee this situation arising... the only way CFPrefs can assist me is in future apps now that I know it exists :) so I'm wondering if there are other ways to do it? any help will be appreciated :)

  • Source Lookup Path is correct but debugger can't find file (Eclipse EE IDE)?

    When debugging stepping over each line does work. Stepping into a function located in another file debugger displays: Source not found. Also displays option for Edit Source Lookup Path... but the correct package is listed there. (Also tried pointing with the directory path.) No other breakpoints set, as is a common solution. Any point in the right direction is helpful. Thank You.
