• style problem with jQueryUI Autocomplete widget (using remote datasource)

  <input class="ui-autocomplete-input"/> represents the text field to be autocompleted. <ul>...</ul> contains the list of matching items from the text field input. It is added to the document by remote call as you type. <ul>...</ul> is added just inside the closing </body> tag. I was expecting the <ul>...</ul> to be placed just after the <input class="ui-autocomplete-input"/>. Because this does not happen, the <ul>...</ul> falls outside of the containing div and the resulting style is broken. Suggestions? Can I specify where the <ul>...</ul> gets placed in the document?   I have used $("#parent").html() to get the inner html of #parent, but how do I get the html of the parent itself? The use case is, I grab an input node like this: var field = $('input'); I would like to be able to get the raw html of that node (<input type='text'>) with something like field.html(), but that returns empty.   I have a tool that generates tests and predicts the output. The idea is that if I have a failure I can compare the prediction to the actual output and see where they diverged. The problem is the actual output contains some lines twice, which confuses diff. I want to remove the duplicates, so that I can compare them easily. Basically, something like sort -u but without the sorting. Is there any unix commandline tool that can do this?

I've used the Live HTTP Headers extension for Firefox to check whether the POST fields get submitted, and they do.   Is there any clever way to mix two bit sequences in such way that bits from first sequence will be on odd places, and bits from second sequence will be on even places. Both sequences are no longer than 16b so output will fit into 32bit integer. I want to also pretty-print the calculation in each recursion call by passing the string from the previous calculation and concatenating it with the current operation. • Foreach is crashing script, but no errors reported.

  So I've created this smarty function to get images from my flickr photostream using SimplePie... simple really, or so it should be. The problem I'm having is the foreach will crash the script, this doesn't happen if I put an exit after the closing foreach, of course because of this the rest of my script doesn't execute. The problem also completely subsides if I remove the foreach, I've tested it and it's not the contents of the foreach, but the loop itself. Error reporting is turned on but I don't get any, I also tried messing with the memory_limit, with no luck. Anyone know why this foreach is killing my script?   We are using Antlr StringTemplates to give control over how a Entity's Name is output. The basic Stringtemplate is $FirstName$ $Initial$ $LastName$, $Suffix$, $Degree$ I want to add some smarts to that template so that the commas are only output when necessary i.e. The first comma is only output when there is a Suffix or Degree and the second commas is only output if there is a suffix. I tried the following template string bit it does not work.   Hi, I've been thinking recently on using the Object Oriented design in the sorting algorithm. However I was not able to find a proper way to even come closer in making this sorting algorithm that does the sorting in O(n) time. Ok, here is what I've been thinking for a week. I have a set of input data. I will assign a mass to each of the input data (assume input data a type of Mass). I will be placing all my input data in the space all at same distance from earth. And I will make them free fall. According to gravitational law, the heaviest one hits the ground first. And the order in which they hit will give me the sorted data. This is funny in some way, but underneath I feel that this should be possible using the OO that I have learnt till date Is it really possible to make a sorting technique that uses gravitational pull like scenario or am I stupid/crazy?

  Need help. I am trying to automate error notifications to be sent in mailers. For that I am querying the sysssislog table. I have pasted an "Execute SQl task" on the package event handler "On error". For testing purpose, I am deliberately trying to load duplicate keys in a table which consists of a Primary key column(so as to get an error). But instead of having just one error, "Violation of primary key constraint", SSIS records 3 in the table. PFA the screenshot as well. How can i restrict the tool to log only one error and not multiple ??? Package Structure. Package ("On error Event handler") - DFT - Oledb Source - Oledb Destination SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005. An OLE DB record is available.   Hello, after my last project I had the problem that the client was expecting an object from the server, but while processing the clients input an exception that forces the server to close the socket for security reasons is caught. This causes the client to terminate in a very unpleasant way, the way I decided to deal with this was sending the client a Input status message after each recieved input so that he knows if his input was processed properly or if he needs to throw an exception. So my question: Is there a better/cleaner way to close the socket after an exception is caught?? thanks,

• error handler isn't called when file is uploaded via ajax using jQuery form plugin

  Here's my test case. If the form is posted, a 500 error response is sent. If not, the form is sent. If the file input tag is commented out, the error handler is called. If the file input tag is present, the error handler isn't called. I think this might have something to do with the fact that jQuery needs to use an iframe to handle the upload and iframes don't seem to respond to the error handler. Edit: If I add iframe: true to the options passed to ajaxSubmit to force the use of an iframe, the non-file-upload case stops working also, so it definitely has to do with the iframe.
