  • Using C# to read/write from excel spreadsheet.

    - by Aaron
Hi there, I need to make a program that writes some data to an excel spreadsheet. Something basic along the lines of First name, last name, phone number, e-mail per row with each category in its own column. I don't even know where to start. If someone could tell me which assemblies to reference and maybe point me to a website or a book that covers writing/reading data from an excel spreadsheet via a c# program that would be great. Many thanks.

Hi All I was wondering if anyone could help me out (not with code, although that would be appreciated), with the logic behind checking and retrieving messages from a POP3 mail server. I.e. Establish connection Validate credentials Enumerate message list Check each message to see if it's "new" Download "new" message(s). Would this be the correct way about doing this? Thank you

  • Highlight table view cells when user drags across rows

    - by chronos
I have a grouped table view that does not need to scroll. I'd like each cell to highlight as the user moves their finger down the screen and call didSelectRowAtIndexPath on release. This behaviour can be seen done by apple in 'settings mail add account'? I can't seem to replicate it myself, all I can get is the default, where the cell deselects as soon as the user moves their finger.

  • PHP Redirect after execution of code

    - by UmYeah
    I have a php page that takes in a bunch of url parameters and sends out an email. I am trying to have this page call another web page using the same url parameters, after the mail is sent. If I do the following, will my email be sent reliably? Is a redirect what I really want to do? Random code to send email... header('Location: http://www.othersite.com/' + $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]);

  • What does 'Highest active time' for disk activity in Windows resource monitor mean?

    - by Nick R
I know what the disk io, disk queue length and other measures are, but what does 'Highest active time' mean? Is it the amount of time it is busy handling requests, or something else? When it is high, does it mean the CPU is busy doing some IO work, or is it just indicating that the disk is busy handling requests? I'm trying to work out if 50% active time means that 50% of the time the disk is either seeking, reading or writing, rather than the kernel is spending 50% of it's time servicing IO requests. Edit Another quick data point here. If you look at the difference between an SSD and a physical disk, the SSD has significantly less activity, so I guess this really means the amount of time the operating system is waiting for the disk to respond and returning data.

  • Apps crashing with EXC_BAD_ACCESS when changing to a custom keyboard layout

    - by Adam Lindberg
    I have a custom layout installed (svdvorak_mac6.keylayout). After a reboot another keyboard layout was selected, so I selected my usual one instead. This lead to a lot of apps suddenly starting to crash (Chrome, Skype, Adium etc). I can change to any other built in layout for OS X, but as soon as I choose one custom installed one (either form ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/ or from /Library/Keyboard Layouts/) the apps crash. The only thing I can remember that I did before the reboot was to install Google's video chat plugin for the browser. Here's the crash report from Adium: Process: Adium [372] Path: /Applications/Adium.app/Contents/MacOS/Adium Identifier: com.adiumX.adiumX Version: 1.4.1 (1.4.1) Code Type: X86 (Native) Parent Process: launchd [182] Date/Time: 2010-12-22 22:39:47.833 +0100 OS Version: Mac OS X 10.6.5 (10H574) Report Version: 6 Interval Since Last Report: 257401 sec Crashes Since Last Report: 39 Per-App Interval Since Last Report: 1178959 sec Per-App Crashes Since Last Report: 8 Anonymous UUID: 7CBACDEB-FBAF-4CD5-9C15-7AEA8AC4B5EF Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS) Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000 Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread Thread 0 Crashed: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread 0 com.apple.HIToolbox 0x99722b6d islGetInputSourceProperty + 1107 1 com.apple.HIToolbox 0x9972262c TSMGetInputSourceProperty + 526 2 com.apple.HIToolbox 0x9972787a _ISSendWindowServerKeyboardLayoutUpdate + 412 3 com.apple.HIToolbox 0x9972622b _TSMSetInputSourceSelected + 1429 4 com.apple.HIToolbox 0x99980209 TSMMessagePortCallBack + 574 5 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x9226840c __CFMessagePortPerform + 540 6 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x921d34db __CFRunLoopRun + 6523 7 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x921d1464 CFRunLoopRunSpecific + 452 8 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x921d1291 CFRunLoopRunInMode + 97 9 com.apple.HIToolbox 0x99717f58 RunCurrentEventLoopInMode + 392 10 com.apple.HIToolbox 0x99717d0f ReceiveNextEventCommon + 354 11 com.apple.HIToolbox 0x99717b94 BlockUntilNextEventMatchingListInMode + 81 12 com.apple.AppKit 0x9189478d _DPSNextEvent + 847 13 com.apple.AppKit 0x91893fce -[NSApplication nextEventMatchingMask:untilDate:inMode:dequeue:] + 156 14 com.apple.AppKit 0x91856247 -[NSApplication run] + 821 15 com.apple.AppKit 0x9184e2d9 NSApplicationMain + 574 16 com.adiumX.adiumX 0x0000322e 0x1000 + 8750 Thread 1: Dispatch queue: com.apple.libdispatch-manager 0 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f5982 kevent + 10 1 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f609c _dispatch_mgr_invoke + 215 2 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f5559 _dispatch_queue_invoke + 163 3 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f52fe _dispatch_worker_thread2 + 240 4 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f4d81 _pthread_wqthread + 390 5 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f4bc6 start_wqthread + 30 Thread 2: 0 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f4a12 __workq_kernreturn + 10 1 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f4fa8 _pthread_wqthread + 941 2 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f4bc6 start_wqthread + 30 Thread 3: com.apple.CFSocket.private 0 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968ee0c6 select$DARWIN_EXTSN + 10 1 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x92211c83 __CFSocketManager + 1091 2 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968fc85d _pthread_start + 345 3 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968fc6e2 thread_start + 34 Thread 4: 0 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f4a12 __workq_kernreturn + 10 1 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f4fa8 _pthread_wqthread + 941 2 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968f4bc6 start_wqthread + 30 Thread 5: 0 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968cf15a semaphore_timedwait_signal_trap + 10 1 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968fcce5 _pthread_cond_wait + 1066 2 libSystem.B.dylib 0x9692bac8 pthread_cond_timedwait_relative_np + 47 3 ...apple.AddressBook.framework 0x9310043f -[ABRemoteImageLoader workLoop] + 283 4 com.apple.Foundation 0x97822bf0 -[NSThread main] + 45 5 com.apple.Foundation 0x97822ba0 __NSThread__main__ + 1499 6 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968fc85d _pthread_start + 345 7 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968fc6e2 thread_start + 34 Thread 6: 0 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968cf0fa mach_msg_trap + 10 1 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968cf867 mach_msg + 68 2 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x921d237f __CFRunLoopRun + 2079 3 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x921d1464 CFRunLoopRunSpecific + 452 4 com.apple.CoreFoundation 0x921d1291 CFRunLoopRunInMode + 97 5 com.apple.Foundation 0x9785b7d0 +[NSURLConnection(NSURLConnectionReallyInternal) _resourceLoadLoop:] + 329 6 com.apple.Foundation 0x97822bf0 -[NSThread main] + 45 7 com.apple.Foundation 0x97822ba0 __NSThread__main__ + 1499 8 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968fc85d _pthread_start + 345 9 libSystem.B.dylib 0x968fc6e2 thread_start + 34 Thread 0 crashed with X86 Thread State (32-bit): eax: 0x00000670 ebx: 0x9972272e ecx: 0x00000000 edx: 0x00000002 edi: 0xa0c3b214 esi: 0x00000004 ebp: 0xbfffe6c8 esp: 0xbfffe660 ss: 0x0000001f efl: 0x00010202 eip: 0x99722b6d cs: 0x00000017 ds: 0x0000001f es: 0x0000001f fs: 0x00000000 gs: 0x00000037 cr2: 0x00000000 Binary Images: 0x1000 - 0x1a0ff7 +com.adiumX.adiumX 1.4.1 (1.4.1) <136586E8-F3F5-99ED-DB1F-48C0027686CB> /Applications/Adium.app/Contents/MacOS/Adium 0x1f9000 - 0x23efe7 +AIUtilities ??? • Join Production Server 2008 to 2003 domain

    - by Campo
I administer a production server for a .com. It is live right now. Server 2008 x64 IIS 7 SQL 2008 PHP MYSQL I have another server which is a DC Server 2003 x86 and a warm standby for the website, sql, DFS, exchange queue. In order to get DFS going to transfer user photos and other content I need it in the domain. My question is, What preparations do I need to do to the production server to allow a smooth transition onto the domain? Things such as permissions for the website. I do not want to be running around resetting all the permissions. The Group Policy on the DC is completely default. Should I add the DNS manually or allow it to add itself? Anything else I left out.

  • 4.5.1 4.4.0 DNS Query Failed

    - by Justin
We are running Exchange 2010 and lately I have noticed that some outgoing messages get stuck in the queue with the error "451 4.4.0 DNS Query Failed". On every domain that this happens on I have been able to use nslookup to find the MX record and open a connection to their server over SMTP so I am reasonably sure that this problem is on my end. My send connector isn't routing mail through a smart host nor is is set to use a different DNS server to do the lookup so I'm stumped as to why these messages aren't going out. Any ideas?

  • Postfix virtual_alias stealing emails from virutal_mailbox

    - by drewag
    I am trying to setup a "catchall" address. In my virtual_mailbox table I have emails setup like so: select * from virtual_users; id | domain_id | password | email ----+-----------+---------------------------------------------- 3 | 1 | ***************** | [email protected] 4 | 1 | ***************** | [email protected] That works great on its own. When I try to add a virtual alias for the catchall: select * from virtual_aliases; id | domain_id | source | destination ----+-----------+-------------------+--------------------------- 1 | 1 | @domain.com | [email protected] Once I add that virtual_alias, all email is going to catchall and I can send any to [email protected]. Is there something I need to do to shift around the priority? This is what I am getting in my postfix logs: Oct 20 23:24:26 localhost postfix/qmgr[8002]: C23A711DF9: from=<[email protected]>, size=1712, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Oct 20 23:24:26 localhost postfix/lmtp[8148]: C23A711DF9: to=<[email protected]>, orig_to=<[email protected]>, relay=domain.com[private/dovecot-lmtp], delay=0.42, delays=0.4/0.01/0.01/0.01, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 2.0.0 <[email protected]> 8V9DA4q6ZFLVHwAA0J78UA Saved) Oct 20 23:24:26 localhost postfix/qmgr[8002]: C23A711DF9: removed

  • How to configure DNS Server on Fedora

    - by user863873
I want to learn how to configure my home PC server into a web server with domain and host. My IP is 109.99.141.133 and now points to a phpinfo page host on my home server. My registed domain is: anunta-anunturi.ro I searched for a tutorial and I've read that I have to configure /etc/named.conf and the file sources for the new zone that I create. So, from the tutorials, my /etc/named.conf looks like this: // // named.conf // // Provided by Red Hat bind package to configure the ISC BIND named(8) DNS // server as a caching only nameserver (as a localhost DNS resolver only). // // See /usr/share/doc/bind*/sample/ for example named configuration files. // options { listen-on port 53 { 127.0.0.1; }; listen-on-v6 port 53 { ::1; }; directory "/var/named"; dump-file "/var/named/data/cache_dump.db"; statistics-file "/var/named/data/named_stats.txt"; memstatistics-file "/var/named/data/named_mem_stats.txt"; allow-query { localhost; }; recursion yes; dnssec-enable yes; dnssec-validation yes; dnssec-lookaside auto; /* Path to ISC DLV key */ bindkeys-file "/etc/named.iscdlv.key"; managed-keys-directory "/var/named/dynamic"; }; logging { channel default_debug { file "data/named.run"; severity dynamic; }; }; zone "anunta-anunturi.ro" IN { type master; file "/etc/anunta-anunturi.db"; }; zone "." IN { type hint; file "named.ca"; }; include "/etc/named.rfc1912.zones"; include "/etc/named.root.key"; My /etc/anunta-anunturi.db file looks like this — I'm not sure if this is okay, or if it's the easy one. $TTL 86400 anunta-anunturi.ro. IN SOA serveur.anunta-anunturi.ro. root.serveur.anunta-anunturi.ro. ( 1997022700 ; Serial 28800 ; Refresh 14400 ; Retry 3600000 ; Expire 86400 ) ; Minumun IN NS serveur.anunta-anunturi.ro. IN A 192.168.1.37 Extra info: At home I receive internet from my ISP through a router. My home PC and server recieve their IP automatically from the router when I start/restart. In my local home network, my server receives the IP 192.168.1.37 from the router. When I enter 109.99.141.133 in my browser, it points to the rooter that forwards port 80 to local IP 192.168.1.37 (my home server) Questions: Are my two files good? What/where is my nameserver that I need to copy/paste to my top level domain (where I registered my domain: rotld.ro)?

  • Improving terminal server performance for a specfic app

    - by Matt
We have a windows 2003 terminal server running 2X application load balancign that is hosting a client's application that is accessed by around 50 users. Each user has there own database. The database is a file based database. The application is developed under Delphi so I think the database may be BDE based. As you can imagine, there is probably quite a lot of disk i/o. Here are some of the perfmon settings. Logged in users (average) 20 - 25 CPU Utilization (average) 80 - 100% Disk Queue Length (average) 1.6 % Disk time (average) 111 Page faults/sec (average) 1400 The application takes on average about a minute to load up. As usual, the budget is tight. Is there basic windows performance tuning tips that people can recommend to improve things before we fork out on more RAM etc. Server is a 2.8GHz Xeon with 3GB of RAM.

  • What is wrong in my DKIM setup? I'm getting all fails

    - by djechelon
I own a domain name I have implemented SPF and DKIM to avoid my mails being junked. I have also upgraded to DMARC in monitor mode. Since I received a few failure reports recently I wanted to investigate more. I have only one server sending outbound emails, running postfix + dkimproxy. I trust that dkimproxy has no major software bugs resulting in bad messages. I have tested ReturnPath's automated DKIM test and this is the part related to DKIM/DomainKeys DKIM Results ============ Result = failed: invalid key for signature: Syntax error in tag: \"v Domain = domain.org Selector = sel DNS Record(s) = sel._domainkey.domain.org TXT "v=1; p=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; t=s" Public Key Length = 4096 DomainKeys Results ================== Domain = domain.org Selector = sel DNS Record(s) = sel._domainkey.domain.org TXT "v=1; p=MIICIjANBgkqhkiG9w0BAQEFAAOCAg8AMIICCgKCAgEAsMMLhxzXkU+tagc44oMi7eX2BsFb8BsWeT8MRL+hxi4Lsosx7tuPm90iYgilNteyJoXuSP5SUf8B2tDAifdzYQhfhctr0hX9b6ocBCukGq5p0GHpNsCPWyFvxZsCkGqLRmkfb0c36quEAWBeQLe4Z/BwXBBiW1g96WFNb2/GRI1+9OHhligdfuo4PPuU+xiwX4GB0Ik50cJL4xTdBf7lrFwoGYa03ZkXuzKxeGE4cTk50OeIs6eqrzAfbmej4nCex2qGOUt1TWI7ZvCY7u3Gxj+XKaE7VFrQACZof+NP0k2pXPHg9saGJqZrr2i6+RoxGD0w/ibjAWij9enwqlnv2ORsZfe+FmXNOLJAhlYvhHaruubDpte1c7V3ZKDceM45ZawnVmSdLCfBrMbsqipzy8NXN5MxuANYFBkx5EDT+Ieab+zqcnf08m9bgDc4RXMYppDT1/lUy6On+nyfZEnJWiH3BUtgxS8X0uXciXbsooTmPnpkzzvvKXAE/Tv3XqL90q51geqP0EmaZI6lRTpiqoX7zFGlEBiiF7/u8oheszATks8LsNZ/boTFy0OVldbYNhxlIuRmqeXkqD6+kM5ObKtMEv3AdaeBiZmvyJTP8tCsSmPt+e954RLlz2HaDjjNnZNgsj/39U2RzZsFbVqW6uyQh36/y1X4joOiPf366GkCAwEAAQ==; t=s" The mail displays an anonymised DNS record with genuine public key. It reports an error in tag v. A few hours ago I noticed my v tag was v=DKIM1 instead of v=1 as specified in RFC. I thought it was an error made by me during the initial setup months ago and fixed to v=1, but anyway I received one DMARC success from Google. Let me explain better: I enforced DMARC a couple of days ago. On 4/16 morning I got a mail from Google telling me that DMARC fully passes, then since 4/17 I get all failures. Then I discovered the v=DKIM1 tag and replaced with v=1 without success I have not modified my DNS records before that. So, keeping in topic with the question, why does ReturnPath refuse my DKIM DNS record? Is something wrong in my DKIM implementation at DNS level? • My sendmail sends spam and I can't identify which script sends it

I've noticed one of my server is sending mass spam. The messages are like the one below (sending from: [email protected]). I've deleted USER_ACCOUNT but I'd like to know how can I identify the script (probably a hacked PHP script) that sends the mass mail considering this server hosts numerous websites.
