  • Where can I find a jQuery article rotator / carousel / slider?

    I want to make an article rotator similar to http://www.vmagazine.com/ And I want to use jQuery. I know there are carousels like jCarousel and jQuery Carousel. There is also the Coda-Slider, but I don't fint it very elegant. Can anyone suggest a good jQuery method / script for having an article carousel? I don't want to use MooTools, Prototype etc. since I'm already using jQuery. Any suggestions anyone?

    i have file with contents in list form such as [1,'ab','fgf','ssd'] [2,'eb','ghf','hhsd'] [3,'ag','rtf','ssfdd'] i want to read that file line by line using f.readline and assign thn to a list so as to use it is the prog as a list for using list properties tried like k=[ ] k=f.readline() print k[1] i xpected a result to show 2nd element in the list in first line but it showed the first bit and gave o/p as '1' how to get the xpected output.. please suggest

  • XmlDocument, XmlResolver and www.w3.org

    One of my users had a single error while opening a file (I'm using standard xml 1.0): The remote name could not be resolved: 'www.w3.org' I found a post here in StackOverflow that deals with this and it suggest setting the XmlResolver property to null. I've tried this, and all my documents still seem to load fine. However, the last thing I want is to break the file-reading mechanism of my app, so is it actually safe to disable the resolver?

    Hi I am having issues making my footer stick to the bottom of the page in all browsers. I have the following document structure: <html> <head> </head> <body> <div id="wrapper"> <div id="header"> <ul> <li>home</li> </ul> </div> <div class="expander"></div> </div> <div id="footer" class="expander"> </div> </body> </html> Relevant CSS is: body { margin: 0; height: 100%; } #wrapper { min-height: 100%; height: auto !important; height: 100%; margin: 0 auto -116px; } .expander { height: 116px; } #footer { width: 100%; } #header ul { list-style: none outside none; clear: both; margin: 0; } #header li { margin: 0; margin-right: 20px; padding: 0; display: inline-block; height: 85px; padding-top: 20px; margin-bottom: -20px; } When used without any doc type, the page renders as I intend it to in Chrome and Firefox. In IE8, however, the list item tabs are on separate lines When I add an XHTML doctype, the page renders correctly in IE8 except the footer is not drawn at the bottom of the page in IE8, Chrome or Firefox, i.e. the footer sits directly below the menu bar. Example doctype: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> What am I doing wrong?

    I'm trying to generate top-level abstract class with JCodeModel library, but I can't find any way to change class modifiers. It's possible for nested classes (JDefinedClass API provides methods that get modifiers as parameters). But for creation of top level classes I found only JCodeModel API methods that get fully qualified name with or without ClassType (class/interface/annotation/enum) as parameters. Does anybody can suggest me how to change modifiers of JDefinedClass to make it abstract?

  • Website gives and error " Unrecognized attribute 'targetFramework'"

    I installed VS2010 and NET 4.0 framework and created a simple project. When I uploaded to my server (where I also installed the 4.0 framework), I get this error: Unrecognized attribute 'targetFramework' It's coming from this section in the web.config which was auto-generated by VS2010 when I created the project: I've checked and ensure that the application pool for my website on the server is set to "4.0 Integrated". Any feedback on how to get past this error would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Using JDO / DataNucleus / NeoDatis datastore I added @Unique to a field of a persistable object, however I am allowed to create multiple objects which violate the unique constraint. The docs for DataNucleus/NeoDatis suggest that Unique fields are supported. @PersistenceCapable public class User { @Persistent @Unique private String username; //... } If I add multiple objects to the DB with the same username there's no problem doing so. :(
