    I really like how http://www.honorshaven.com/ looks printed (to pdf). I've looked through the source to try to figure out how they did it (my navigation always turns into ugly bullet lists on print...) -- and I'm at a loss. Anyone know? Any help would be awesome! Thanks, Martin

If you click the bookmarklet twice on the same page you get double content. Is there any way to detect that the box is already on the screen and reuse it?

  • simple photo viewer

    Hi, I am fairly new to all this. I am trying to make a simple photo viewer with javascript or anything easy to alter. I just want a next and prev. button to take you between photos. Click next and next photo shows. Just that simple. I have a flash version but I would like to avoid using flash. I've been doing it the long way by making multiple pages, one for each photo and a button that repeats. I know there must be a better way but I just can't seem to figure it out. Please help

It contains this structure <table ID="OuterZoneTable" width="100%"> <tr>...</tr> <tr id="OuterRow"> <td width="80%" id="OuterLeftCell">...</td> <td width="180" id="OuterRightCell">...</td> </tr> ... </table> I want to control the width of #OuterLeftCell and #OuterRightCell but it is hard-coded in the html that is returned. How would I change these values?

  • Jquery cross-fade rollover problems in IE7

    I built some cross fade rollovers in IE7 using this single image technique: http://jqueryfordesigners.com/image-cross-fade-transition/ It works by placing the rollover image in the background and fading the original image state when the user rollovers the image. IE7 hates it. The rollover state shows up directly below the original image. You can check it out here: http://hardtopdepot.com/dev/inner.html It should be pretty obvious in IE7 but the add to cart buttons are suppossed to be Jquery rollovers. I am by no means a JS expert so Im not sure how to go about solving this problem, any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks-

    Hi, Is it possible to make a small box (which will be a row element in a list for me) with an icon in the upper right corner, and text wrapped around it? Something like: ------------------------------------------------- | Some text here which may wrap around [icon] | | if it were to get too long, but then fit well | | around the icon in the upper right corner? | ------------------------------------------------- I was going to use this as a row in a list, and the user could click the icon in the upper-right to delete the row.   • Wrong bbox or descent with @font-face and opentype font

    Hey all, I embedded a opentype font with @font-face. Works fine, but the bbox or descent (or baseline/descent line?) is wrong on certain browsers/OSs. The problem is e.g. on a Mac the bbox is not right, that means to center the text in it's bbox I have to set a padding to the paragraph. I guess the font was created on Windows and was not tested on Linux and OS X, and the font rendering engines in these OSs work diffrently. Any idea how to solve withs problem?   • jQuery How do I move an element inside of another element

    Hi I'm using grails navigation plugin and when it generates menus it put the sub navigation underneath the main menu, but i'm making my menu a vertical menu so i don't want the sub menu under the whole menu i want it under the active element. Example: this is how it generate the menu and sub menu <ul class="mainmenu"> <li>item1</li> <li>item2</li> <li>item3</li> </ul> <ul class="submenu"> <li>item1</li> <li>item2</li> <li>item3</li> </ul> What i want is: <ul class="mainmenu"> <li>item1 <ul class="submenu"> <li>item1</li> <li>item2</li> <li>item3</li> </ul> </li> <li>item2</li> <li>item3</li> </ul> Since i don't know of a way to make grails nav plugin do this i guess i'll have to make jquery do it after it's generated. Any ideas?

  • datatables.net plugin hides table behind left menu

    I had a page that works perfectly in IE. Then I added the wonderful jQuery plugin datatables.net to it using this code in DOMReady with this code $('#articlestable-container table').dataTable({ "bPaginate": true, "bLengthChange": false, "bFilter": true, "bSort": false, "bInfo": false, "bAutoWidth": false }); Everything is fine in Webkit and Firefox browsers. See the image. But in IE, the table hides the menu that ideally should come over the table like this. As you can see, the sub-menu gets rendered behind the table. I don't think z-index is the culprit here. The sub-menu has z-index: 9999; anyway. What could be wrong? Any pointers to solve this will be very helpful.

    On one of my pages, http://artistsatlaketahoe.com/abstract.html , the Paypal buttons appear centered beneath text in FireFox and Chrome, but not in IE8. I got the centering to work in FF and Chrome by adding the following within the Paypal code snippet relating the Add to Cart image: style="display: block; margin: 0 auto;" Unfortunately, it isn't working in IE8.   • Brainfart: How to make overflow content in a div

    I cant even come up with a proper subject for this one... Basically I have a box div, that when click expands to a rectangle and shows content in the new expanded area. The problem I'm having is that when I animate out the div's width, the browser wants to render the content as the box is stretching, rather than just have it placed where I need it.
