    Hello First and foremost. I'm totally new to "programming" in Excel. I'm trying to make a price calculator, that calculates the price when I use my printer. I have made some lists so it's easy to perform the calculations. Single or duplex: Singlex/Duplex Format: SRA3 / A4 / SRA3 High Gloss The idea is that if I type in an amount of 100 prints, choose SRA3 format on the list, and choose Duplex on the other list. the calculation would look like this: This is how it's calculated: Paper + (print x sides) = Price of the print job Print prices Per page (singlex or duplex): 0,6 Paper format and price: A4 reg. paper: 0,2 SRA3 High Gloss: 1,25 SRA3 reg. paper: 1 Does anyone know about this???

  • In Python, are there builtin functions for elementwise boolean operators over boolean lists?

    For example, if you have n lists of bools of the same length, then elementwise boolean AND should return another list of that length that has True in those positions where all the input lists have True, and False everywhere else. It's pretty easy to write, i just would prefer to use a builtin if one exists (for the sake of standardization/readability).   • How do you protect your <appid>.appspot.com domain from DDOS attack?

    If I want to use CloudFlare to help protect my GAE app via it's custom domain, I still am vulnerable to attacks directly on the .appspot.com domain. How do I mitigate that? I could force redirect appspot.com host requests, such as discussed here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1364733/block-requests-from-appspot-com-and-force-custom-domain-in-google-app-engine/ But I would still suffer the load of processing the redirect in my app. Are there any other solutions?

  • Retain ViewData when editing variable length list

    I'm editing variable length lists and use ViewData to pass around information for filling a DropDownList. I use the method described here for editing these lists: http://blog.stevensanderson.com/2010/01/28/editing-a-variable-length-list-aspnet-mvc-2-style/ The data for this dropdownlist comes from the database. As the ViewData is not available across requests, I currently do a new query to the database each and every time. This also happens when the ModelState is not valid and the form is redisplayed. Of course, this is less then ideal even for a light-weight query as this one. How can I retain the information from that query across requests as long as the user is editing the page with that variable length list?

  • Where to include business logic in a domain driven architecture

    I'm trying to learn effective DDD practices as I go, but had a fundamental question I wanted to get some clarity on. I am using ASP.NET WebForms and I am creating a situation where a user places an order. Upon order submission, the code-behind retrieves the user, builds the order from the inputs on the form, calls the User.PlaceOrder() method to perform add the order object to the user's order collection, and calls the repository to save the record to the database. That is fairly simply and straightforward. Now I need to add logic to send an order confirmation email, and I'm not really sure the proper place to put this code or where to call it. In the olden days I would simply put that code in the code-behind and call it at the same time I was building the order, but I want to get a step closer to solid proper architecture so I wanted to get some information.   • PHP Get images from a UL list

    I have a long UL list and each LI contains an image tag, dynamically generated from SLideshowPro Director. I need to get the widths of ALL the images inside the UL to use in a CSS width calculation. I have been able to get the image width for the first item, but not all. My PHP is pretty limited, but do I have to make this list into an ARRAY first to allow me to get all the widths? And how do i do that?? These images contain very long id's generated by the CMS, so reading through a directory is not possible, as the images in cache bare not relation to the file names that are output to the HTML page. It has to all be done from the content that's sent to the page. Or could I even use JQuery to do this??

  • Padding List Items?

    I have a list where i basically need a hierarchy of items. Any children of an item would be padded slightly, as to easily distinguish their parent item. How could this be achieved? Note that i could, if needed, make each parent show no children, and then when the parent is clicked, a new list containing all of it's children is loaded. This however requires more clicking to display information than i would prefer. Also, the items themselves will contain graphics and whatnot (to show a drag'n'drop button, etc), so it would be best if it visually appeared as if the item itself had a margin, rather than the contents of the item being padded. But when I enter text and the list with suggestions opens no item in de list is selected. And i want a item to be selected so when you press enter that it becomes the selected item.     I have a main site at site.com and several subdirectory "microsites" at site1.site.com, site2.site.com, etc. These are all on the same server. Each site is set up in its own folder under public_html and each with its own separate wordpress install. I'd like for each microsite to share the same top level menu (the page's menu) with the main site. I'm sure there are several approaches and I'd like to ask you for a few ideas. As an aside, I'd also like to ask if the new WordPress 3.0 beta would make this simpler to do (since it combines wordpress MU into the main wordpress core)

    In the model, I have: public ObservableCollection<Item> Items { get; private set; } In the ViewModel, I have a corresponding list of ItemViewModels: public ObservableCollection<ItemViewModel> ItemViewModels ... In the XAML, I will bind (in this case a TreeView) to the ItemViewModels property. My question is, what goes in the "..." in the ViewModel shown above? I am hoping for a line or two of code to binds these two ObservableCollections (providing the type of the ViewModel to construct for each model object). However, what I'm fearing is necessary is a bunch of code to handle the Items.CollectionChanged event and manually updates the ItemViewModels list by constructing ViewModels as necessary. Thanks!     Hello, I'm creating an app that will have a list of messages, each message can be either read or unread. Think GMAIL (though I'm not trying to rebuild that)... My question is when I output all these messages, I need to list if the message is read or unread, I also need to provide the ability to change the message status, from read to unread. That being said, how do you suggest I stored this? A checkbox, a hidden input value? Any thoughts? Thanks

  • Display list of websites on local IIS server in a web page

    Hey Guys, I am currently trying to figure out a way to list all of the websites that are running on a local IIS 6 server at the office and display links to each site with their descriptions so we can always find our development sites with ease. The way that the server is currently set up is I add a DNS record for a new site. eg: newsite.company.local and then add it to IIS. This way all the users in our office can access this site via their browser and developers can test, admins can review etc etc. What I want to do now is automatically generate a webpage with a list of all of the sites running on iis and have it be available across the network. I have never looked into this before and have no idea where to start.. help! Thanks :)

  • Linq To SQL: Retain list order when using .Contains

    I'm using Lucene.net to build a MyListOfIds As List(Of Integer) which I then pass on to my Linq service. I then search the database as follows Return _EventRepository.Read().Where(Function(e) MyListOfIds.Contains(e.ID)).ToList Now I know that Lucene is already ordering MyListOfIds based on the weight it gave each term. What sucks is that Linq is losing that order in it's SQL search. My Question: How can I retain that sort order when building my Lambda expression? I tried using LINQPad to see how the query is being built, but because I had to declare a variable LINQPad didn't show me the resultant SQL :-( Here's what I tried in LINQPad Dim i As New List(Of Integer) i.Add(1) i.Add(100) i.Add(15) i.Add(3) i.Add(123) Dim r = (From e In Events Where i.Contains(e.ID) Select e) note: my example is in VB.NET, but I don't mind if responses are in C#

    in my asp.net MVC project i have an database connection with connectionstring: Data Source=.;Initial Catalog=dbname;Integrated Security=True All users can execute Stored Procedures on that connection and i want to log those users. so after each execution I store "User.Identity.Name" to another database. This work great on my development machine but after deployment, to access the site i have to go through a VPN-connention and then remote desktop to the same server that the IIS is running on and use a web-browser there. Then i get User.Identity.Name: "NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE". i would expect it to be the credentials i entered in remote desktop that have access to the database. any idea how i can get this to work? iis6 authentication: "windows authentication: enabled" web.config:

    I need to create a local user with the same name as a domain user under CentOS with Likewise installed. When I use Useradd it says user exists, because a domain user with the same name exists. It is a service account for backup and does not work using a domain account. On machines where the local account was added before likewise was installed it works fine. Is there a way to temporarily disable this check?

  • Excel: make comma separated list from column with blanks, fed by checkboxes

    I want to make a spreadsheet where user can check boxes on one worksheet, and have those values then be brought over, comma separated, into one cell, on another worksheet. The values of the checkboxes have to be capable of changing as a new row entry is made on the first spreadsheet. I have the associated name text of the checkboxes populating into an adjacent column when the box is checked (TRUE). This column is the one I want to pull the text from. I want it to also ignore blanks, and not include extra commas. I am not familiar with VBA, but with some hand holding, I could use some. Clever formula approaches also welcome! Thanks!

    I was hoping someone could help me out. I'm building a CRM application and need help modifying the .htaccess file to clean up the URLs. I've read every post regarding .htaccess and mod_rewrite and I've even tried using http://www.generateit.net/mod-rewrite/ to obtain the results with no success. Here is what I am attempting to do. Let's call the base URL www.domain.com We are using php with a mysql back-end and some jQuery and javascript In that "root" folder is my .htaccess file. I'm not sure if I need a .htaccess file in each subdirectory or if one in the root is enough. We have several actual directories of files including "crm", "sales", "finance", etc. First off we want to strip off all the ".php" extensions which I am able to do myself thanks to these posts. However, the querying of the company and contact IDs are where I am stuck. Right now if I load www.domain.com/crm/companies.php it displays all the companies in a list. If I click on one of the companies it uses javascript to call a "goto_company(x)" jQuery script that writes a form and submit that form based on the ID (x) of the company. This works fine and keeps the links clean as all the end user sees is www.domain.com/crm/company.php. However you can't navigate directly to a company. So we added a few lines in PHP to see if the POST is null and try a GET instead allowing us to do www.domain.com/crm/company.php?companyID=40 which displays company #40 out of the database. I need to rewrite this link, and all other associated links to www.domain.com/crm/company/40 I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. Keep in mind that I need to do this for "contacts" and also on the sales portion of the app will need to do something for "deals". To summarize here's what I am looking to do: Change www.domain.com/crm/dash.php to www.domain.com/crm/dash Change www.domain.com/crm/company.php?companyID=40 to www.domain.com/crm/company/40 Change www.domain.com/crm/contact.php?contactID=27 to www.domain.com/crm/contact/27 Change www.domain.com/sales/dash.php to www.domain.com/sales/dash Change www.domain.com/sales/deal.php?dealID=6 to www.domain.com/sales/deal/6 (40, 27, and 6 are just arbitrary numbers as examples) Just for reference, when I used the generateit.net/mod-rewrite site using www.domain.com/crm/company.php?companyID=40 as an example, here is what it told me to put in my .htaccess file: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^crm/company/([^/]*)$ /crm/company.php?companyID=$1 [L] Needless to say that didn't work.

  • Windows Mobile 6.5 Running Program List Icon

    I've got an windows mobile 6.5 application I'm developing and am having trouble with one icon. At the top right hand of the screen there is an icon that, when clicked, will display a list of programs running the background with the option to close them. When my program is in this list, it's icon does not show up as the others do. I'm my exe I've got an .ico for 16x16, 22x22, 32x32, 36x36, 44x44, 45x45, 60x60, and 64x64, with the optional 90x90 png and registry setting in my cab. What am I missing?

    I have a list of keywords in an ArrayList and I wanted to be able to build a query to find records in a table based on this keywords. Since the list of keywords is dynamic I cannot build a fixed query here. if I do something like this: foreach (string kw in keywords) { query = query.Where(p => p.Name.StartsWith(kw)); } The "StartsWith" is required here because I need to search those records that actually start with the provided keyword. In T-SQL it Would be something like this Select * from Table where Name like 'keyword1%' or Name like 'keyword2%' or Name like 'keyword3%' or ... But I need to be able to do this in LINQ...Is this possible?
