  • Determining whether values can potentially match a regular expression, given more input

    I am currently writing an application in JavaScript where I'm matching input to regular expressions, but I also need to find a way how to match strings to parts of the regular expressions. For example: var invalid = "x", potentially = "g", valid = "ggg", gReg = /^ggg$/; gReg.test(invalid); //returns false (correct) gReg.test(valid); //returns true (correct) Now I need to find a way to somehow determine that the value of the potentially variable doesn't exactly match the /^ggg$/ expression, BUT with more input, it potentially can! So for example in this case, the potentially variable is g, but if two more g's are appended to it, it will match the regular expression /^ggg$/ But in the case of invalid, it can never match the /^ggg$/ expression, no matter how many characters you append to it. So how can I determine if a string has or doesn't have potential to match a particular regular expression?

  • Creating a web-service client directly from the source

    Hi, I am trying to generate the WS client jar directly from the @Webservice class(es). Let's take this example : package com.example.maven.jaxws.helloservice; import javax.jws.WebService; @WebService public class Hello { public String sayHello(String param) { ; return "Hello " + param; } } I can generate a war file and use glassfish to serve this webservice, and from there I can use the glassfish WSDL URL to generate the client sources. What I am trying to do is to skip the glassfish part. From my maven project defining the webservice, I would like to use the jaxws-maven-plugin to create the client classes but I cannot find any way to specify the actual URL of the webservice.   • C# parsing txt files IF name format is desired format

    OK, I have txt files that I am parsing and saving into a sql db. The names are formatted like R306025COMP_272A4075_20090929_080159.txt However, there are a select few (out of thousands of files) with names that are formatted differently (particularly files that were generated as tests), example R306025COMP_SU2_TestBottom_20090915_101441.txt The reason this causes a problem for me is that I am using Split('_')[1,2,etc] to extract the R number, the 272A4075 portion, and the 20090929 (date) portion. When the application comes across the oddly named files, it fails because it is trying to parse 'TestBottom' as a date and inserts 'SU2' instead of the 272 number. Basically I want the app to recognize that if the file's name is not formatted like my first example, skip it. Any advice?

    I am trying to bind a repeater after an AJAX response. Step 1 : Make an Ajax call to the fucntion in the code behind: Step 2 : Do some business logic and finally bind the data to the repeater Step 3 : Get the response back from the codebehind to the Ajax call Step 4 : Once we get the response back what is the right way to strip out extra HTML for example the head and body tags etc. One way is to put a "breaker" logic. for example : <html><body> #breaker REPEATER control HERE #breaker </html></body> and once I get the response back I use a JS function to find anything between the #breaker tags and strip out anything outside and I should get the required HTML response of only the repeated items. Is this the only / Best way to achieve this kind of functionality?

    I have recently noticed that a lot of JavaScript files on the web starts with ; immediately following the comment section. I see this convention on server-side JavaScript files as well. What is an advantage and disadvantage of doing this?

    I'm trying to use ServletContext.getResource to retrieve a java.net.url reference to an image file (which I will then include in a PDF library using iText). When I use ServletContext.getRealPath("picture.jpg"), I get back a string URL. However, getResource always returns null. Example 1: String picture = ServletContext.getRealPath("picture.jpg"); // picture contains a non-null String with the correct path URL pictureURL = ServletContext.getResource(picture); // pictureURL is always null Example 2: URL pictureURL = ServletContext.getResource("picture.jpg"); // pictureURL is always null So what is the correct way to build a java.net.URL object pointing to a file in my webapps folder? Why does getRealPath work but not getResource? In case it helps at all, here is my folder structure webapps - mySite - picture.jpg Does my picture need to be stored in either WEB-INF or WEB-INF/classes to be read by getResource?

    I'd like to add information to a stack trace/exception. Basically I've got something like this as of now, which I really like: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ArithmeticException: / by zero at com.so.main(SO.java:41) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke However I'd like to catch that exception and add additional info to it, while still having the original stack trace. For example, I'd like to have that: Exception in thread "main" CustomException: / by zero (you tried to divide 42 by 0) at com.so.main(SO.java:41) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke So basically I want to catch the ArithmeticException and rethrow, say, a CustomException (adding "you tried to divide 42 by 0" in this example) while still keeping the stacktrace from the original ArithmeticException. What is the correct way to do this in Java? Is the following correct: try { .... } catch (ArithmeticException e) { throw new CustomException( "You tried to divide " + x + " by " + y, e ); }

    Hi! I would like to dynamically create XPath expressions in an XSL determined by data in an XML file. (i.e. the XML data is "concatenated" to create an XPath expression). Example of XML data: AAA BBB CCC Example of how I would like the XPath expression to look like: //AAA | //BBB | //CCC And this dynamic generation needs to be done in an XSL file.     Can a user connect to my web site using an Orkut account ? Just like Google Friend Connect or Facebook, but with Orkut. The idea is, the user goes to my web site, I have a "Connect using Orkut" button there, on click takes him to the Orkut login page, once s/he logins and grants access to my app, get's redirected to my web site with the Orkut ID as a parameter. The same procedure that works for Google Friend Connect and also Facebook Connect.... I haven't seen an example of this with Orkut. Can it be done ? Is there an Orkut Connect or similar ? If there is one such example could you please give me a link to it ? A sample in c# would be excellent, but I would be happy with a sample in any language. Any help will be appreciated

  • Strange crashes on the iPad device with core graphics functions

    I am getting a lot of strange EXC_BAD_ACCESS crashes on the iPad that only happen on the device and not in the simulator. I am assuming that they are somehow memory related, but I am not sure. They all happen with image context related functions. One strange example is using CGImageCreateWithImageInRect. For example, if i run through a bunch of UIImages and crop them with CGImageCreateWithImageInRect, it will always crash at specific arbitrary sizes. Like, if I crop them all to 200x200, it crashes out after processing 12 images. If i crop them to 210x210, it works no problem. The EXC_BAD_ACCESS happens inside of "memmove" called from "CGBlt_copyBytes". That is all the debugger shows me strangely enough. I can't see the callstack going up to any of my methods. All of this works fine in the simulator! I know this is all very vague, but if anyone has any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated.

My question is simple (the answer may not): Is it possible to send a single udp-packet with a outer source-ip (for example 124.124.124.124) to a fixed-ip server? I don't need to get a answer from the server. I just want to know if/how this one way communication can be done, using a faked source-ip address. I'm sorry for my bad English!     I built a assembly which is a class library, for example lib.dll . And I also have a application to access this lib, for example test.exe. I changed the security permission for the test.exe to "intranet". At the same time, I want to change lib.dll to "Internet" like this: (Because I want to do some testing for security.) CasPol.exe -m -ag 1.2 -strong -file lib.dll lib 1.0.0.0 Internent But it seems the lib.dll can not get the security permission as I wanted. What is wrong with the command? My tags file is generated very well and here is a simple row in it. my.namespace.classname /path/to/file.js /^my.namespace.classname = function(first_arg,$/;" f Here is an example what i need to omnicomplete: my.namespace.cla <- omnicomplete list with all classnames in the my.namespace The above is the key to my problem, because it looks like omnicomplete searches only namespace without including "my." in front of it. So i see other element in the omnicomplete list and not my classname at all. However, if i type :tag my.namespace.classname for example gvim opens the correct file at the correct position. What is wrong and how can I make it work?

    I'm using Clojure, so this is in the context of Java regexes. Here is an example string: "{:a "ab,cd, efg", :b "ab,def, egf,", :c "Conjecture"}" The important bits are the commas after each string. I'd like to be able to replace them with newline characters with Java's replaceAll method. A regex that will match any comma that is not surrounded by quotes will do. If I'm not coming across well, please ask and I'll be happily to clarify anything. edit: sorry for the confusion in the title. I haven't been awake very long. String: {:a "ab, cd efg",} <-- In this example, the comma at the end would be matched, but the ones inside the quote would not.

  • Client side page permissions - Javascript / jquery / cookies / other?

    TLDR Using plain HTML / Javascript. Want to block access to some pages (doesn't have to be super secure just to stop some peeking eyes). I thought of simply doing this by setting a cookie for each page they are allowed to visit with a value of true but thats a bit messy. Although it would work. Is there a way to set an array of values to a cookie so I can read the cookie and if a name of a page is in there then allow access with an IF statement or so on each of my pages. If they dont have the cookie just to replace my #content (entirepage) to "sorry no" etc. For example: $.cookie("Access","page1, page2, page3",{ expires: 1 }); Am already using JQuery, Jquery cookie. etc. I am up for anyway of doing this cookie idea is just an example So what do you think would be the best / most efficient way of managing this?

    For a new CMS i've developed a Pages module that allows me to manage the site's tree structure. Each page is reachable from the url http://www.example.com/pageslug/ where pageslug identifies the page being called. What I want to achieve now is a route that allows me to route all incoming requests to a single PagesController unless it's a request to an existing controller (like images for example). It's easy enough to catch all requests to the Pages Controller but how to exclude existing controllers? This is my module bootstrap.   • Proper way of utilizing gearman with my php application.

    For now I just want to use Gearman for background processing. For example, I need to email a recipient that they have a private message waiting for them once the sender submits their message into the DB. I assume I can run the worker/client and server on my primary server but I have no problems offloading some of the tasks to a different web server. Anyways, my question is how do I handle multiple "functions?" Let's say I need a job that handles the email portion and a job to handle image manipulation. Can I have multiple functions in the worker? I've followed a couple of examples I found online but each example only shows one function being initialized. Do I have to start up multiple "workers" to handle multiple functions?

  • JQuery Passing Variable From href to load()

    I am trying to pass an href id to load() in JQuery, I can see from the alert the returned id# 960, so I know the id value is getting past I just don't know how to append the load url, well the $("#refreshme_"+add_id) is the important part, I use that to refresh the unique div id in the page assigned by the database pull, so it would be looking for id="refreshme_960". My simple example that is obviously not working. I want to refresh the db select part of the page showing the new list of cars. Is it possible to implement more than one iteration scenario for a class? More details (EDIT): For example I have class TreeNode implementing single tree node. The whole tree can be expressed using only one this class. I want to provide iterators for iterating all direct and indirect children of current node, for example using BreadthFirst or DepthFirst order. I can implement this Iterators as separate classes but doing so I need that tree node should expose it's children collection as public.   • Calculate broadcast address from ip and subnet mask

    Hi I want to calculate the broadcast address for e.g -IP 192.168.3.1 -Subnet 255.255.255.0 =192.168.3.255 in C. I know the way (doing fancy bitwise OR's between the inversed IP and Subnet), but my problem is I come from the green fields of MacOSX Cocoa programing. I looked into the source of ipcal, but wasn't able to integrate it into my code base. There must be a simple 10 line of code example somewhere on the internet, I just can't find it. Could someone point me to a 10 line of code example of how to do it in C. Cheers, Kolja
