• google app engine db.Model in python only display user-defined fields

  I'm a python newbie so I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before. I am building out an application in GAE and need to generate a report that contains the values for a user-defined subset of fields. For example, in my db model, CrashReport, I have the following fields: entry_type entry_date instance_id build_id crash_text machine_info I present a user with the above list as a checkbox group from which they select. Whichever fields the user selects, I then create a report showing all the values in the datastore, but only for the fields that they selected. For example, if from the above list, the user selects the build_id and crash_text fields, the output might look like this: build_id crash_text 0.8.2 blown gasket 0.8.2 boom! 0.8.1 crack! ... So the question is, how exactly do I only access the values for the fields which the user has defined?

Let's say hide it. • variable $base_path is not working

  I am trying to get the value of base_path variable in PHP (on lamp server) . I have kept the code insider beta_test directory inside www directly. i.e, base path function should return " /beta_test/ " . But it is returning just single slash ( "/" ) . The code that I tried is <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php print base_path(); ?>sites/all/themes/people10/slider/call.js"></script> Expected output is <script type="text/javascript" src="/beta_test/sites/all/themes/people10/slider/call.js"></script> But its giving <script type="text/javascript" src="/sites/all/themes/people10/slider/call.js"></script> I am using php version 5.3.3.Can anyone please help me in getting this issue solved? • Unable to locate using find element by link

  Newbie in testing. I generated a test case using Selenium, and then exported it as a Python script. Now, when I try to run that in terminal, I get following error: raise exception_class(message, screen, stacktrace) NoSuchElementException: Message: u'Unable to locate element: {"method":"link text","selector":"delete"}' I am using the command generated by Selenium i.e driver.find_element_by_link_text("delete").click() The reason for the error I believe is that the link "delete" in my web page is seen only when I click on a particular line to be deleted. So I guess it is being unable to locate the link. Please suggest what alternative measure could I use to locate and click on the "delete" link. Thanks in Advance:)

Running this query returns an error: SELECT * FROM variants v ON v.id = ovv0.variant_id INNER JOIN option_values_variants ovv1 ON v.id = ovv1.variant_id INNER JOIN option_values_variants ovv2 ON v.id = ovv2.variant_id INNER JOIN option_values_variants ovv3 ON v.id = ovv3.variant_id INNER JOIN option_values_variants ovv4 ON v.id = ovv4.variant_id WHERE v.deleted_at = NULL AND v.product_id = 1060500595 However, if I set my datetime values to 0, and set my query to v.deleted_at = 0, the correct variant is returned to me. How do I check for uninitialized/NULL datetimes?

  Google maps has this feature of showing you how long it will take to get somewhere based on current traffic. But what about history, or asking for a prediction of how long it will take to get somewhere, during rush hour, for example? So, how long will it take to get there on this route if I leave at 5, vs how long it will take if I leave at 3. (A difference of 30 minutes on the road sometimes!) If google maps doesn't provide this service, iis there anywhere that does?

• How can I find a computer on my network that is doing mass mailings?

  I was notified by my isp that one of my machines is sending out spam. This happened about 3 months ago on windows machine running cygwin that was hacked due to an SSH vuln. The hackers setup IIS and SMTP. I cleared out the machine and all the services are disabled so I think that machine is okay I am wondering if there is any other way to identify which machine it could be coming from? The ISP has NO useful information such as source port, destination port, destination IP... nothing. I am running DD-WRT on my router, Windows 7 PC and a Windows XP PC.

• Keep row of datagridview clicked by user selected

  Hi All, I need the snipped code in C# to mantain selected the row from a datagridview after that row is double clicked. Right now I'm displaying data from a dataset and the selection mode is FullRowSelect. Any way to set this? There are two scenarios to deal with: 1) Everytime the timer ticks the selected row always go to the first row of datagridview. 2) Once a row is clicked, it is selected but after the timer ticks the selected row goes to the first one. • ruby on rails sub directory inside in the 'Views' main directory

  Hello, am a newbie in ruby on rails and am stuck with a simple problem of routing. I have my controller 'sub' and the 'Views' folder containing the add,edit,new erb files. In my routes file, i have 'map.resources :subs'. Until now, everything is fine. Problem: I moved the add,edit,new erb files into a subfolder called 'admin' inside the 'Views' main directory. I have no idea how to call those erb files from that 'admin' subdir. By default, it is looking for /app/views/subs/index.html.erb, and i want it to look in /app/views/subs/admin/index.html.erb Please can anyone tell me how to do this. Many many thanks

I would like to have a one-off registration page for users to key-in information when they open the application for the first time.   I am having an issue with my computer. My IIS services are not working. I have narrowed it down to the fact that my computer cannot find itself via its name.   I am a newbie who is trying to create a Facebook app using PHP and Facebook's PHP SDK. The app is hosted on Heroku, and the sample app that they provided is working fine. However, I am now trying to get the sample app to work on Apache 2.2, and I have encountered a lot of problems along the way. Well, straight to the point, my latest problem will be trying to do Facebook login on localhost, but the 'An error occurred. Please try later' appears on the popup dialog. This does not happen on Heroku. Will someone please enlighten me on if there's any steps that I can take to overcome this error? I don't think it got to do with any coding error since I am just following the provided sample app. Thanks!

• Why is Python 3.1.3 in the header listed as a syntax error?

  Hi, I'm a newbie programmer so I'll do my best to clearly ask my question. I'm running Python scripts in Mac 10.6.5 and now trying to write and save to a text file (following instructions in HeadsUp Python book). Whenever I hit function+F5 (as instructed) I get the same "invalid syntax" error and Idle highlights the "1" in "Python 3.1.3" of the header. Here's the header to which I'm referring: Python 3.1.3 (r313:86882M, Nov 30 2010, 09:55:56) [GCC 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5494)] on darwin Type "copyright", "credits" or "license()" for more information. Extremely frustrating. I've checked and rechecked the code but this doesn't seem to be code related because the "syntax error" is in regards to the header text that posts in every Idle/Python session. Help anyone? I've picked up some very basic Java (File I/O, GUIs, inheritance) and would like to take a look at functional programming - in particular, I would like to learn Scheme. I'm having some trouble finding a Scheme implementation I can understand. Interpreters are weird; I'm not sure how to save my programs and create executables. I've downloaded PLT Scheme, but I would prefer using something less condescending, something similar to NetBeans. • strange memory usage pattern on windows server 2008 on login through remote desktop..

  I'm running Windows Server 2008 Datacenter Service Pack 2 on a VM Ware instance with 10Gb ram allocated. I'm not running IIS or SQL Server. Under 'normal' conditions, the machine uses ~5.5Gb of memory. However, when I login to the server through remote desktop, the memory usage slowly climbs up to 9.8Gb of memory in use. After several minutes the memory slowly creeps back down to the 5.5Gb mark. I've tried killing all the processes associated with my login, on login, barring the taskmanager without success, and I can't see any process that is growing in memory usage when the memory is increasing. I'm assuming this is some system level cache that is growing / shrinking... but why is it doing this?

I have the following file among other files in my directory: jdk-6u20-solaris-i586.sh I am doing the following to get jdk-6u20 in my script: myvar=`ls -la | awk '{print $9}' | egrep "i586" | cut -c1-8` echo $myvar but now I want to convert jdk-6u20 to jdk1.6.0_20. I can't seem to figure out how to do it. It must be as generic as possible. For example if I had jdk-6u25, I should be able to convert it at the same way to jdk1.6.0_25 so on and so forth Any suggestions?

• Rails: What's the suggested approach to retrieve xml from an outside source

  Rails newbie (though long time programmer) here. I'm writing an test app that retrieves data from several outside sources (think Twitter, RSS feeds, etc.) and under certain circumstances, it stores that data in a db (or presents it to the user). The data model and the views are trivial. What I'm having difficulty with is making the actual xml HTTP call to the outside source and deserialize the xml response so I can query/use it in my controller/helper. What library/gem should I use to accomplish this? I tried looking this up around the net, but only came up with some article from 2006 which, knowing how fast Rails has developed, might well be completely deprecated. Your help is much appreciated.

• Website project takes a long time to load in VS.NET 2008

  After getting a new computer (a lot faster than the one I've used before) my Solutions take A LONG TIME (3-4 minutes) to load up in VS.NET 2008. I only have 2 projects in the solution: DB Project and Website Project (from IIS). If I remove the Website Project from Solution - it loads up instantly, when I add that same website project to the OPEN Solution - it loads up instantly. The only time it's slow is when I open the solution referencing my Website project. I had the exact same setup (as far as VS is concerned) on my old box, and never had this problem. Any ideas?

• Cannot ping a VM from a Hyper-V host

  I am facing a weird situation in my network environment. My infrastructure looks like this: I have a D-LINK DIR-635 acting as my default gateway (192.168.0.1) A physical Windows 2012 Server (192.168.0.10) with the following roles: DHCP, DNS, AD DS and Hyper-V. A virtual Windows 2012 Server (192.168.0.50) which I intent to use as an IIS server (Role is not deployed yet). My virtual machine was able to get an IP address from the DHCP server and is working perfectly (I can ping the default gateway [by IP, FQDN or DNS Alias], the Hyper-V host and any site on the Internet (CNN.com for example). However I cannot ping the VM from my host. It says: Request Timed Out. Do you guys know what I might be doing wrong? Any support is appreciated! Thanks!
