  • Asp.net control inside of fancybox modal is not "working"

    Your typical "It doesn't work" freak out going on over here. Any direction would help. I have a login control on my master page and I'm trying to only display it using jquery fancybox and then redirect the user once they are logged in. But any buttons or controls that should do "something" when pressed when I put inside the fancy box are not responding. If I keep the div visible and then use the control not using fancybox I get the expected result. What are my options?

    In my code here, I have a CSS class called "active" which I use if the $_GET['page'] == tutorials, php, mysql, etc... The problem is, even if the 'page' variable is not equal to any of these values, the Tutorials button in this case is still active for some reason. Any ideas why this would be happening?   • JqueryUI serialize data not working on first record

    I am using jqueryUI v1.8. I have created a modal dialog form to edit records of a table. When the edit link on the record is clicked the record data is displayed on the form and the user edits the record. When the user submits this form the data is serialized and posted via ajax to update the database. This works well with all records except the first one. Nothing is posted to server for update only for the first record. alert(serializeddata); is empty. Similarly, The first form element in every record chosen for editing does not show the actual value the first time. Once you cancel editing and close the dialog and reopen you can see the fields accurate data. How do I resolve this?

    The Boost.Test documentation and examples don't really seem to contain any non-trivial examples and so far the two tutorials I've found here and here while helpful are both fairly basic. I would like to have a master test suite for the entire project, while maintaining per module suites of unit tests and fixtures that can be run independently. I'll also be using a mock server to test various networking edge cases. I'm on Ubuntu 8.04, but I'll take any example Linux or Windows since I'm writing my own makefiles anyways.

    I just spent a few hours pulling my hair out over this. I'm trying to get gcc to compile a file from within PHP. $command = "/usr/bin/gcc /var/www/progpad/temp/tNu7rq.c -o /var/www/progpad/temp/tNu7rq.out"; exec($command, $output, $returnVal); echo $returnVal."<br />"; //returns 1 echo json_encode($output); //returns [] I'm running this on my own ubuntu server and both /var/www/progpad/ /var/www/progpad/temp/ have chmod 777 set. If I copy and paste the command string, and paste it into the terminal it works perfectly. Also if I replace the command string with something like $command = "echo test > test.txt"; Then this has no problem creating the text file. What could I possibly be doing wrong here???

    Let's say I have a user registration and I'm using the Auth component (/user/register is allowed of course). The problem is if I need to set a minLength validation rule in the model, it doesn't work since the Auth component hashes the password therefore it's always more than my minlength password and it passes even if it's blank. In other browsers the iframe gets resized, because the onload event fires each time. I'm using IE8 but the outer page is setting it to IE7 compatibility mode. Is there a workaround for IE?

    I have a class MyController that inherits from Controller, so all my controllers inherit from MyController. I have a property in MyController: public class MyController : Controller { public string SomeProperty {get;set;} } if I set this property in MyController's OnExecuting method, my HtmlHelper extension method works fine: public static string SomeExtension(this HtmlHelper htmlHelper) { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); string result = ""; var controller = htmlHelper.ViewContext.Controller as MyController; if (controller != null) { result = controller.SomeProperty; } return result; } it doesn't work if I set 'SomeProperty' in my controllers action method. I guess because I am doing 'as MyController' in the extension method? is there a way for it to work in both situations? I am using the value of SomeProperty to be outputted on my view pages.

  • Localization not working

    I have an application that is supposed to be localized (two languages, english being the default). However, I seem to only get the English versions of all strings, regardless of what the system default language is. I am probably missing something trivial, but I've read several tutorials now without any solution. I added this line to main(), NSLog(@"Current locale is: %@", [[NSLocale currentLocale] localeIdentifier]); and the resulting printout is en_US, while the system was set to use the localized language. I checked the build output, and the app bundle contains the XX.lproj folders as I believe they should (and they are UTF-16, I confirmed this). What am I missing?

  • Powershell Select-Object from array not working

    I am trying to seperate values in an array so i can pass them to another function. Am using the select-Object function within a for loop to go through each line and separate the timestamp and value fields. However, it doesn't matter what i do the below code only displays the first select-object variable for each line. The second select-object command doesn't seem to work as my output is a blank line for each of the 6 rows.     I have this weird problem in java when trying to fetch records from MYSql database by using the limit function in the query. Not sure what went wrong or did wrong, this query is giving me a hard time.   • Table overflow working in Chrome and IE but not Firefox

    I am trying to get a layout that always takes up the entire screen, no more, no less. The layout has a header row, a 200px wide left bar (scrollable), and a scrollable content area. This works in Chrome and IE, but in Firefox the scroll bars never show nor work.   • django-admin.py startproject mysite not working well on windows 7

    Hi I'm learning django and I did successfully start a site on Window XP by following the tutorial. However, on Window 7 when I issued: django-admin.py startproject mysite python.exe was started and a window appeared to ask me to choose either python.exe or other program to open a file.... did I do anthing wrong or there are more tricks for window 7? thanks.
