  • Load php file wth xml header

    I have a php file with an xml header and xml code, named test.php. How do I load this file as an xml? The following doesn't work: $xml = simplexml_load_file('test.php'); echo $xml; I just get a white page. The test file is saved as php, as it's dynamic. It's loading data from the tradedoubler api.     Tables: Product: [id, name, brand_id, is_published] Brand: [id, name, is_published] Awards: [id, name] ProductAwards [product_id, award_id] How do I select the list of PUBLISHED brands along with the number of AWARDS of brand's products that are Published. I am cool with all the part except issuing the "is_published" restriction when counting Awards. I hope this is clear; can anyone just suggest where to dig?

  • scaffold does not update view

    Hi there I have a question to the following procedure: script/generate scaffold product title:string description:text db:migrate #then I generate a migration which adds a column description to the table products and migrate the db again. My question is: why is the field description not added to the project-views? Is that normal rails scaffold behaviour? I think I saw in a video tutorial that the scaffold updates as well the views, which would be very convenient. Thanks in advance for any help!

    I'm doing a project I'm encountering a problem in my project......... the problem is i would like to increase or decrease the quantity in my sql quantity field when i pass the issued or delivered quantity i.e.... initially the quantity in the quantity filed is 1 when i intake the product of a quantity 10 then automatically it should update the quantity as 10+1=11 so it must update as 11, if i remove a 1 quantity it should update as 0........ how to write a code in jsp.......... pls do help

  • I need to programmatically remove a batch of unique constraints that I don't know the names of.

    I maintain a product that is installed at multiple locations which as been haphazardly upgraded. Unique constraints were added to a number of tables, but I have no idea what the names are at any particular instance. What I do know is the table/columnname pair that has the unique constraints and I would like to write a script to delete any unique constraint on these column/table combinations. This is MSSQL 2000 and later. Something that works on 2000/2005/2008 would be best!

    I'm building an app which will allow a user to scan the barcode on a 'shelf', 'box' or 'product' which will then bring up that particular item or all the associated items. As these are all separate models with their own ID's, I need a global ID table. I was thinking of a polymorphic table called 'barcodes' barcodes id barcode_number barcodable Is there an easy way to do this? Or is polymorphic the best way?

    I once read somewhere that apps should not copy data while doing an installation but rather all data creation must be done the first time the app is used. Q1: Does this apply to Windows Mobile apps also? Q2: Is it not okay then to copy a blank database to the \appdata\product\ folder and populate it when the user uses the app or must I wait for the user to se the app to even create the database.
