  • Ruby on Rails: Is there a way to tell what fields failed validation in ActiveRecord?

    I'm attempting to create an XML builder file that tells a user to know exactly what fields failed validation in the output. I also want to display their input back to them, so that requires me figuring out which fields failed validation. Meaning if someone fails on creating a new user resource, I want to display XML that's meaningful (Besides a meaningful HTTP status number) such as: <errors> <user> <email>bad@email: Invalid email format</email> </user> <errors> The above is tough to do in an XML builder file without knowing what field failed. And if I just iterate over error messages, I won't know how to prob my @user object to get the value that the user supplied.

In my controller I have code like this: @items = Item.find(:all) I need to have a corresponding User models for each item in my View templates. it works in controller(but not in View template): @items.each { |item| item.user } But manual looping just to build associations for View template kinda smells. How can I do this not in a creepy way?

    Hallo rails version 2.3.5 I'm learning rails and I run into a problem. I'm doing some nesting forms from the railscasts tutorials. I changed the text area into a data field to upload photos and everything is working. Now i have to display the uploaded pictures and i simply can't do it. I Tried everything I could find on the net but nothing worked. The preference file is: ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.office.plist The property keys take the form: 2008\File Aliases\{APP}{n} 2008\MRU Access Date\{APP}{n} where {APP} represents an Office application, and {n} represents a number starting from 0. The applications are represented by the following values: MSWD (Word) XCEL (Excel) What value represents PowerPoint? In the property list I've seen, the numbers represented by {n} range from 0-10 (11 items). Is 10 the limit? or is this unrestrained? Finally, I've noticed that Office 2011 does not add its Recent Items to the Apple System menu: Apple > Recent Items Is Office 2008 the same?

  • Zend Framework 2 loading slow and loss of connection using WAMP

    I've been facing an issue with Zend framework running on my local Wamp 2.2 server. I am not sure what I'm doing wrong but ZF2 seems to load really slow when making an http request. Any other request to a php or html file seems to run smoothly. Also, sometimes when the loading time takes longer, I get this message: "The connection to [virtualhostname] was interrupted" I then need to hit refresh to complete the request. I checked apache error log and everything looks fine. Please, I appreciate any type of guide/suggestion to take care of this issue. I followed the starter guide word by word.
