  • Is paypal's IPN reliable enough?

    I am creating my first ever major plugin for Wordpress and I intend to share it to the community. It integrates paypal's subscription button which is very useful for people who wishe to build a membership site using Wordpress. Question: Is IPN reliable enough that there's no need to control the subscription thru cron myself? I have not tested my plugin for a span of a month or so though because doing so would eat a lot of my time.

  • Chrome UI styles are not working under Ubuntu! GTK Theme is not working!

    Chrome Version : 31.0.1650.63 (Official Build 238485) Extensions : Google docs, Lastpass Im on a brand new system, just installed Ubuntu. When I open chrome, normally the search box, alert windows are styled according to my current system GTK theme. But now they look like classic windows theme! Tried different themes and adjusting the theme under Settings Appearance in Chrome but still no use. How to fix this? Here's a screenshot :

KB article: KB #2771833 There are 9 fixes listed at the time of writing The build number is 10.00.5828.00 Relevant for @@VERSION between 10.00.5500 and 10.00.5827 It seems clear that Service Pack 2 servicing has been discontinued. So there is even less reason to hold onto those old builds, and every reason to upgrade to Service Pack 3 .     I am planning to build an expression parser that will be used to graph algebraic functions ( think TI-83 ) with JavaScript. Functions will take the form of f(x)= Aside from typical operators such as: + - * / ^ I'd also like to add support for inline functions such as: sin(), cos(), log() and random(). I have looked at implementing the Shunting Yard algorithm for parsing expressions, but it does not look like an efficient approach to evaluating a function with a hundreds or thousands of inputs. What other known algorithms exist for this task?

  • Name user object and user table correctly

    It's maybe simple but I think about this every time I build a new application. How do you name the class for the current user of the application and for the orm class of the user table? Usually I have something like CurrentUser: Logged-in user, stored in session, info for last activity etc User: ORM Class (C# EF CodeFirst, but it doesn't matter) And yes, they could have the same name in different namespaces, but I don't really like that.
