  I am trying to extract digg data for a user using this url "http://services.digg.com/user/vamsivanka/diggs?count=25&appkey=34asd56asdf789as87df65s4fas6" and the web response is throwing an error "The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."   Hello, I'd like to use jQuery UI autocomplete in order to load a list from my database but I don't know wich method I should use to do so. I tried to use the "Remote datasource" method [url]http://jqueryui.com/demos/autocomplete/#remote[/url], but it obviously doesn't work. • How can I send a GET request containing a colon, to an ASP.NET MVC2 controller?

  This works fine: GET /mvc/Movies/TitleIncludes/Lara%20Croft When I submit a request that contains a colon, like this: GET /mvc/Movies/TitleIncludes/Lara%20Croft:%20Tomb ...it generates a 400 error. The error says ASP.NET detected invalid characters in the URL. If I try url-escaping, the request looks like this: GET /mvc/Movies/TitleIncludes/Lara%20Croft%3A%20Tomb ...and this also gives me a 400 error. If I replace the colon with a | : GET /mvc/Movies/TitleIncludes/Lara%20Croft|%20Tomb ..that was also rejeted as illegal, this time with a 500 error. The message: Illegal characters in path. URL-escaping that | results in the same error. I really, really don't want to use a querystring parameter. related: Sending URLs/paths to ASP.NET MVC controller actions

  Hi All, I'm begginer in asp.net mvc and I have some doutbs about routes. Im' developing a system to manage documents and I need make an URL like this: routes.MapRoute("Documentos", "{controller}/{documentType}/{documento}/{action}/{id}", new { controller = "Home", documentType = "", documento = "", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional }); and the app working an URL like theses: "Document/Administrative/Contract" - (Index action by default to list documents of type 'Contract') "Document/Administrative/Contract/New" - (new action in controller) "Document/Administrative/Contract/10" - (detail action in controller) "Document/Administrative/Contract/Edit/10" - (edit action in controller) Document would be a Controller, and Administrative would be just a description in url to identify that documents of 'Contract' is Administrative... So, My doubts is about my controllers and actions, How should be the signature of the methods of controller ? Need I make an Area called Documents to do this more easy ? PS: Sorry for my english!   Hey there, This is a bit urgent! I'm trying to make a simple filter search where-by you can choose from a series of 3 drop downs and then based upon this the results are then displayed, How would I go about adjusting the sql query for each and if you were to only choose to search from aone of the 3 rather than all 3 etc... example there could be the url with input such as: url.com?location=gb&color=3&hair=4 and still form the correct sql query for something like this: url.com?location=gb&hair=1 and not encounter problems with WHERE and AND etc etc and empty variables in the statement Would this not need to be a massive function to check using if to see how the data is set for all possibilities?   I have a project that uses the moodle library. I had to change the URL from moodle.example.com to learn.example.com, due to a client request. I thought this would be an easy change, but alas moodle inserts all links and images in with the complete url instead of the relative url. Is it possible using mod-rewrite to point all requests to moodle.example.com to learn.example.com and maintain the query string? Example: I want a request to: http://moodle.example.com/course/view.php?id=2&topic=1 to go to http://learn.example.com/course/view.php?id=2&topic=1. Is this possible? Thanks, Josh

Given that WCF binding uses net.msmq:// URL, for instance net.msmq://server/private/nc_queue, how can one know what is the actual MSMQ address to which this URL is translated? Is there some kind of a trace that can be activated? Or an external tool that would help one capture the address? Thanks. EDIT1 OK, I owe a clarification. One can talk directly to MSMQ through the respective .NET API. In the case of MSMQ over its native port 1801, I would use this MSMQ address: FormatName:Direct=OS:server\private$\nc_queue When MSMQ is configured over HTTP, the address changes to something like this: FormatName:Direct=http://server/msmq/nc_queue But the WCF binding uses a standard URL to describe the address, like: net.msmq://server/private/nc_queue So, how can I know what is the actual MSMQ address (the one with the FormatName) to which the net.msmq:// is translated?

• ExtJS combo setting problem

  Hi I run into an interesting problem while was using combos in input form. My form contains combos that get data from json stores. It works fine when adding new record, but when the form is opened for editing an existing record, sometimes the id appears as selected not its value (eg: there's 5 instead of "apple"). I think it tries to set the value before it finishes loading the combo. Is there a way to solve this?   I am trying to initiate a OTA app install from within a phonegap iPad app. I have tried this: var url = "http://www.example.com/test.plist"; window.open("itms-services://?action=download-manifest&url=" + url, "_blank"); This works in iOS 5 but NOT iOS 6. I have also tried using the ChildBrowser plugin to point to a page with a link to the OTA app install but that doesn't work either. (If I visit the webpage directly from within the native iPad browser, it works fine) Does anyone know how I can initiate a OTA app install from within the phonegap iPad app? (must work in iOS 5 and iOS 6) I am trying to implement an auto update feature within a Ad-Hock iPad app (not through App Store). So when the app detects that there is a new update, it will prompt the user to install the new update and thats where I need this functionality.

  I have a silverlight app. When I develop I have it pick up its data from a local URL: http://localhost/theapp/data/... however, when it is online, I want it to pick up its data from an online URL: http://www.tanguay.info/... Currently I have a variable which I switch before I compile and upload: bool silverlightAppIsLive = true; which I use to determine whether or not to get data from the first or second URL above. Is there a way for me to determine this automatically in code without setting the variable manually?

Parameter name: "param" Parameter value: "foo/bar?aaa=bbb&ccc=ddd" (happens to be a url with query parameters) String test = UriBuilder.fromPath("https://dummy.com"). queryParam("param", "foo/bar?aaa=bbb&ccc=ddd"). build().toURL().toString(); The encoded URL string returned is: "https://dummy.com?param=foo/bar?aaa%3Dbbb&ccc%3Dddd" Is this correct ? Should not the character "&" (and may be even "?") be encoded in the parameter value string ? Would not the URL produced be interpreted as follow: One first parameter, name="param", value = "ar?aaa%3Dbbb" followed by a second parameter, name="ccc%3Dddd", without value.

  I've written some HTML/Javascript that sits on a third-party server for security reasons. This page performs a javascript post to another page on the same site. However, instead of responding with useful data, it instead wants to perform a redirect (if you would post via a normal HTML form to this page, it would redirect your browser). How can I process this process? I basically want to be able to extract the url's query parameters that it is trying to redirect with (and then put this link into a hidden form field).   Hi I am trying to parse a HTML page using the Simple HTML DOM Parser. This HTML page doesn't make use of IDs which makes it harder to refer to elements. On this page I am trying to get the Album name, Song title, download link and the album image.   Hi, I have a screen with a webView in my navigation controller stack and when I navigate from this view back to a previous before the page completely loaded I get a EXCEPTION_BAD_ACCESS. Seems, that the view with a webView being released before it comes to webViewDidFinishLoad function. My question is how to overcome this problem? I don't expect from the user to wait till the page loads... • Android SDK Setup Problems

  Hi, Im new to android and am just trying to install the SDK. I have everything else done. When i run the SDK Setup.exe (ive added the ./tools to the path already.) It gives me the famous cannot fetch URL error. Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml, reason: Permission denied: connect I tried the force http option and also manually adding a http:// version of the above url. It does not work at all. I am working on a windows 7 64 bit pc. Any help would be appreciated. Ramesh

  I've tried the bare method and the T4MVC method but so far both are routing me to the current URL instead of the default path with no arguments for the following action: public virtual ActionResult Index(byte? location, int? sublocation) { } So when I try Url.Action("Index","Locations", new {location="", system=""}) if I'm at a location already this method returns the path to where I'm already at instead of the default path with no arguments. As does the following method with T4MVC. <input type="button" value="Go" style="display:none" onclick="window.location='<%= Url.Action(MVC.Controller.Index()) %>/'+$('input#location').val()+'/'+$('input#sublocation').val()+'/';" /> How can I get the default route with no arguments?
