• Write Tomcat 5.5 output to one of Tomcat's log files

  I'd like that all the output that is shown in Tomcat's console will be saved into a file including the output on startup and shutdown of Tomcat. How can I do this? I looked at apache documentation about logging, Do I need to change something in the logging.properties can I trust log4j to write message from the first message on startup to the last message on shutdown?

• Why are mercurial subrepos behaving as unversioned files in eclipse

  I am trying to use the subrepo feature of mercurial, using the mercurial eclipse plugin . I created and added the .hgsub file in the root repo, put all the mappings of the sub repos in it, and committed + pushed. Then, I pulled the root repo in eclipse, using import-mercurial. Now I see that all the subrepos appear as though they are unversioned (no "orange cylinder" icon next to their corresponding folders in the eclipse file explorer). Furthermore, when I right click on one of the subrepos, I don't get all the hg commands in the "team" menu as I usually get, with root projects - no "pull", "push" etc. Also, when I made a change to a file in a subrepo, and then "committed" the root project, it told me there were no changes found.

  I am using BuildManager Class to Load a dynamically generated ASPX File, please note that it does not have a corresponding .cs file. Using Following code I am able to load the aspx file, I am even able to loop through the control collection of the dynamically created aspx file, but when I am assigning values to controls they are not showing it up. for example if I am binding the value "Dummy" to TextBox control of the aspx page, the textbox remains empty. • file_column not creating files, just empty tmp directory

  Up to the end of December 2009 everything worked fine, so i assume that after some upgrades on servers (Ubuntu 8.10 and second Ubuntu 9.10) something stopped working. Model: class Product < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :category file_column :thumbnail, :magick = { :geometry = "150x100" } there is of course table 'products' in database, and it has column 'thumbnail' what's interesting that File actually is uploaded to server, it goes to the /tmp directory under RackMultipartXXXX-0 name, and it is unmodified image. The problem is, that then this file is not moved to 'tmp' dir under RAILS_ROOT/public/product/ nor the 'XX' (where xx means ID of a product) under public/product also. i don't know what to do, i spend few HOURS trying different versions of file_column, also trying to make new, test rails application only from scaffold, but then, in this new application problem was the same

  Hi, I have some errors in my output source code, I'm wondering if there is a tool that is able to look through the site and find which .tpl file my error is in? That, or at least give me a list of .tpls to look through. I can't seem to find this error and the site isn't very well documented.   I am using a piece of code someone pasted for C# which uses urlmon.dll. It reads in <= 256bytes and returns the mime based on the data. Problem is it cant distinguishes a css file from a text/plain. I can goto /style.css but when including it in my html the CSS does not show up. I am using urlmon + context.Response.TransmitFile to send it.

• Getting PCM values of WAV files

If im not wrong, this would give me an output of values between -1 and 1 which i can apply FFT on ( to be converted to a spectrogram later on). However, my output is no where near -1 and 1.   Anyone know of a wiki or wiki plugin that generates a PDF file or CHM file that spans the entire wiki? I would like to have control of the table of contents. I would like the internal and external links to work. Ideally allow for tweaking the output template, but that is not a deal-breaker. I want to generate content using WIKI syntax and mindset (lots of cross-links etc), but ship the content in PDF, CHM or an embedded application form. Something friendlier than installing the wiki software on the enduser machine...

What would the best approach be, for loading a configuration file inside of my class? • Security implications of writing files using PHP

  I'm currently trying to create a CMS using PHP, purely in the interest of education. I want the administrators to be able to create content, which will be parsed and saved on the server storage in pure HTML form to avoid the overhead that executing PHP script would incur. Unfortunately, I could only think of a few ways of doing so: Setting write permission on every directory where the CMS should want to write a file. This sounds like quite a bad idea. Setting write permissions on a single cached directory. A PHP script could then include or fopen/fread/echo the content from a file in the cached directory at request-time. This could perhaps be carried out in a Mediawiki-esque fashion: something like index.php?page=xyz could read and echo content from cached/xyz.html at runtime. However, I'll need to ensure the sanity of $_GET['page'] to prevent nasty variations like index.php?page=http://www.bad-site.org/malicious-script.js. I'm personally not too thrilled by the second idea, but the first one sounds very insecure. Could someone please suggest a good way of getting this done?

  Hello, Using Apache with mod_rewrite, when I load a .css or .js file and view the HTTP headers, the Content-type is only set correctly the first time I load it - subsequent refreshes are missing Content-type altogether and it's creating some problems for me. I can get around this by appending a random query string value to the end of each filename, eg. http://www.site.com/script.js?12345 However, I don't want to have to do that, since caching is good and all I want is for the Content-type to be present. I've tried using a RewriteRule to force the type but still didn't solve the problem. Any ideas? Thanks, Brian

• How to find specific/local files via CMake

  Hello, I have a problem with a locally installed library. In my project there is the xmlrpc++0.7-library: myproject/ +-- xmlrpc++0.7/ +-- src/ I want that CMake fallbacks using the local xmlrpc++0.7 directory if not found otherwise. Two problems, the first one, find_path() or find_library() does not work with local dir. I used a workaround testing if variables processed by find_xxx() are empty or not. If empty I set them manually. The cmake generates the Makefile without errors now. But if I want to compile the project via make, the c++ compiler returns "error: XmlRpc.h: file not found". The file XmlRpc.h lies in myproject/xmlrpc++0.7/src and if I compile all them manually it works fine. Here is my CMakeLists.txt.   Hi, In my iPhone application I need to show a video image in UITableView. Each tableViewCell have video and some labels. I used the MPMoviePlayerController for showing video in full screen when the cell is selected. But, I am getting error that MPMoviePlayerController class is not there. I tried using UIWebView. But, I could not make it. How can I play a video, when the cell is selected. Some say that videos do not play in simulator. They only play when we test in device. Is it right ? Found a solution by Ayende. This is the right direction. Edit: I got Localization helper class which provides Controller.Resource('foo') extension method. Thinking about to extend it (helper) so it could return all JavaScript resources (from "ClientSideResources" subfolder in App_LocalResources) for specified controller by it's name. Then - call it in BaseController, add it to ViewData and render it in Layout. Would that be a good idea?

  Hello all, I'm using C#/.NET with the C# wrapper for SQLite. I'm attempting to merge two SQLite databases together while excluding duplicates.
