  • Is there any specific available method in jsp/Servlet API which tell you from which page the request

    Hi, I have been working in Oracle iStore from past 4 months and i have been managing the application without any IDE (basically doing all the chores on notepad only because application has been designed poorly and no IDE can support it). Since the coding is done on simple notepad files it is very hard to find out the bugs in the application. I am facing a problem that i have not idea which jsp page redirect the control to which jsp page. For instance, there are two jsp pages A.jsp and other is B.jsp. Now the browser is currently displaying A.jsp. When the user click on submit button (available on A.jsp) the form submits and redirects the control to B.jsp. Now my problem is that i know i am coming on B.jsp but, i don't know that A.jsp is redirecting the control to B.jsp. Is there an method available in Servlet API which tells Which jsp is redirecting the control to B.jsp?     TLDR: Want to get each heading from an array and insert it into a div without knowing what is inside the div using Jquery - getJSON. I have JSON array lets say: jsonfeed({ "items": [ { "d":{"title":"034324324-22344231-10"} }, { "d"{"title":"23423404-3423422-10"} }, { "d"{"title":"0234234324-32432422-10"} }, { "d"{"title":"0234234324-223534534-10"} ] }) And I want to parse it as for each "title" to insert it into a div. Trying along the lines of $.getJSON(url, function(data){ $.each(data.items, function(i,item){ $('#testfield').html('<p>' + item.d.title + '</p>'); }); }); to no avail. I am using Getjson in other places but in cases where I know what request I am making. e.g: $('#livetime').html(data.Time); Which is all working perfectly fine but in this case I need to get the details out of the array without knowing what is inside the array I'm sure there is something simple that I'm missing here or doing wrong ^^.

  • Desktop.getDesktop().browse(uri); will open web page on server or client side?

    Hello everybody, I have a JSF application and when user click on button I want to open a web page. Desktop.getDesktop().browse(uri); probably opens a web page on server side, how to do it on client side? when i try Desktop.getDesktop().browse(uri); it works, but maybe its because I open the JSF application on localhost so I dont know if the opened uri is on server side or client side. In the specification for getDesktop() its written: getDesktop() Returns the Desktop instance of the current browser context. Thanks!

    I'm looking at a cucumber test suite that is somewhat brittle right now; many small steps, and no knowledge of the page itself. I'd like to factor out the logic involved in the step definitions inside a series of Selenium PageObjects. As seen here. However, because I'm using Webrat and not Selenium, everything has to go through the Webrat model. So I cannot do class MyPage < Selenium::WebPage end because that adds a direct dependency. So I have to route everything through Webrat while still maintaining the Selenium Page object goodness. No documentation on this that I can see: if someone has anything on Webrat + PageModel I'd love to see it.

    I have a custom web part placed on one of the application page in SharePoint. This page it seems already have a function which gets executed on windows beforeunload javascript event. My problem is that i too need to execute some client side code (to prompt user for any unsaved changes in my web part) on windows beforeunload event. How can i achieve this ? I mean let the default event be fired as well as call my function also ? Appreciate any help. Nikhil.

    Hi all, I am building a database as a simple exercise, it could be hosted on any database server, so I am trying to keep things as much standard as possible. Basically what I would like to do is a 'code' table that get referenced by other entities. I explain: xcode id code r role p property code r admin r staff p title .... then I would like to have some view like: role (select * from code where xcode='r') r admin r staff property (select * from code where xcode='p') p title then, suppose we have an entity myentity id - 1 role - admin (foreign key to role) title - title (foreign key to property) Obviously I cannot create foreign key to a view, but this is to tell the idea I have in mind. How can I reflect such behaviour using whenever possible, standard sql syntax, then as a second option, database additional features like trigger ecc... ? Because if I tell that role and title in myentity are foreign key to 'code', instead of the views, nothing would stop me to insert a role in title field. thanks Leonardo

    I use Spark View Engine with nested master pages. I have Application.spark which defines the basic layout of the website. Then there are several other masters which themselves use Application.spark as master page (Default.spark, SinlgeColumn.spark, Gallery.spark, ...) If no master page is specified in a view file, then automatically Application.spark is choosen by the Spark View Engine. Since almost all my pages use "Default.spark" as master, is there a way to configure this globally? The other possibilities would be: Set the master in each spark file individually <use master="Default" />. But that's really annoying. Rename my master files (Default.spark <- Application.spark) but that really doesn't make any sense in naming.

    I've got an error page here SiteError.aspx and it's configured correctly in the web.config to go there when unhandled exceptions are encountered. I want to use this page to log the exception that triggered it as well because I only want to LOG the errors that the users encounter (i.e. if SiteError.aspx is ever hit.) This is the code I Have: In the OnLoad(...) in SiteError.aspx Exception lastEx = Context.Server.GetLastError(); if (lastEx != null) log.Error("A site error was encountered", lastEx); However, my log is never showing up in my Output, and If i breakpoint on line 2 (in this example) code execution is never interupted (after letting the exception clear to ASP.NET handling in the debugger.

    Hello there. I'm trying to put an x-repeat "grid" of images by using background-image in CSS, then using the id in a DIV tag. My intention is to put a sort of "panel", then always extends to the very top of the page, and loops with repeat-x. It works just fine without a DOCTYPE, but when I put the clean in the code, it pushes the image in the tag downwards, as if there's a margin on the top of the page of about 15 px or so. I tried top-margin, z-index, with no success. Excuse me if I'm asking a silly question, but I'm sort of new. Thanks, -Jacob

  • How can I run a user script before any inline scripts run on a webpage?

    I want to make a greasemonkey type script for firefox that runs before the scripts on the page. Greasemonkey scripts run after scripts on the page, so that won't work. The reason I need this is because I want to edit one of the scripts on the page. Specifically, I want to delete a script that forces the page to load inside a frame since having the page inside a frame breaks F5 (Pressing F5 makes the page jump back to the front page instead of reloading the current page). Also, I don't want to load the page through a proxy with AJAX and switching to chrome/opera is not an option either. I was thinking maybe the Jetpack add-on would work but it seems to only have the same event that greasemonkey uses, DOMContentLoaded. Any ideas?

    I'm trying to create a somewhat complex sorting feature which neither uses divs nor lists. Unfortunately two hours of googling didn't help me. So the user will be able to view the contents of the site either sorted by name, by year, by country or by title. I have this jQuery snippet from a website, but all my attempts on trying to tell it to use the contents of e.g. h3 to sort have failed.
