DataOutputStream out; DataInputStream in; // String returned as the result . String returnString = ""; // Create the URL object and make a connection to it. url = new URL(targetURL); conn = url.openConnection(); // check out permission of acess URL if (conn.getPermission() != null) { returnString = "Do not Permission access URL "; } else { // Set connection parameters. We need to perform input and output, // so set both as true. conn.setDoInput(true); conn.setDoOutput(true); // Disable use of caches. conn.setUseCaches(false); // Set the content type we are POSTing. We impersonate it as // encoded form data conn.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"); // get the output stream . out = new DataOutputStream(conn.getOutputStream()); String content = ""; // Create a single String value pairs for all the keys // in the Hashtable passed to us. Enumeration e = contentHash.keys(); boolean first = true; while (e.hasMoreElements()) { // For each key and value pair in the hashtable Object key = e.nextElement(); Object value = contentHash.get(key); // If this is not the first key-value pair in the hashtable, // concantenate an "&" sign to the constructed String if (!first) content += "&"; // append to a single string. Encode the value portion content += (String) key + "=" + URLEncoder.encode((String) value); first = false; } // Write out the bytes of the content string to the stream. out.writeBytes(content); out.flush(); out.close(); // check if can't read from URL // Read input from the input stream. in = new DataInputStream(conn.getInputStream()); String str; while (null != ((str = in.readLine()))) { returnString += str + "\n"; } in.close(); } // return the string that was read. return returnString; }

  • Deploying to Heroku with sensitive setting information

    - by TK
I'm using GitHub for code and Heroku for the deployment platform for my rails app. I don't want to have sensitive data under Git. Such data include database file settings (database.yml) and some other files that have secret API keys. When I deploy to heroku, how can I deal with files that are not under revision control. When I use Capistrano, I can write some hook methods, but I don't know what to do with Heroku.

  • replace commas with spaces from json array

    - by Alex
I have a looping function creating: <li id="id1" name="Tag1,Tag2,Tag3"> <li id="id2" name="Tag1,Tag2,Tag3"> $.each(data.posts, function(i, post){ $('<li >', {id: this.id , name: post.tags}) }); How do I replace the commas between the tags with spaces. Also is there a way I can send the tags to a "class" attribute instead of "name". It seems to not work in Safari.

  • Can DataObjects.NET support SQL identity columns?

    - by Mark
While there's lots to like about DataObjects.NET, I've found help resources to be a lean, and can't find a solit example of using DataObjects.NET with RDBMS generated primary keys. It would seem as though D4O won't do inserts against SQL Server unless it's in controll of the key. Has anyone solved this in the wild?

  • How to use an adjacency matrix to determine which rows to 'pass' to a function in r?

    - by dubhousing
New to R, and I have a long-ish question: I have a shapefile/map, and I'm aiming to calculate a certain index for every polygon in that map, based on attributes of that polygon and each polygon that neighbors it. I have an adjacency matrix -- which I think is the same as a "1st-order queen contiguity weights matrix", although I'm not sure -- that describes which polygons border which other polygons, e.g., POLYID A B C D E A 0 0 1 0 1 B 0 0 1 0 0 C 1 1 0 1 0 D 0 0 1 0 1 E 1 0 0 1 0 The above indicates, for instance, that polygons 'C' and 'E' adjoin polygon 'A'; polygon 'B' adjoins only polygon 'C', etc. The attribute table I have has one polygon per row: POLYID TOT L10K 10_15K 15_20K ... A 500 24 30 77 ... Where TOT, L10K, etc. are the variables I use to calculate an index. There are 525 polygons/rows in my data, so I'd like to use the adjacency matrix to determine which rows' attributes to incorporate into the calculation of the index of interest. For now, I can calculate the index when I subset the rows that correspond to one 'bundle' of neighboring polygons, and then use a loop (if it's of interest, I'm calculating the Centile Gap Index, a measure of local income segregation). E.g., subsetting the 'neighborhood' of the Detroit City Schools: Detroit <- UNSD00[c(142,150,164,221,226,236,295,327,157,177,178,364,233,373,418,424,449,451,487),] Then record the marginal column proportions and a running total: catprops <- vector() for(i in 4:19) { catprops[(i-3)]<-sum(Detroit[,i])/sum(Detroit[,3]) } catprops <- as.data.frame(catprops) catprops[,2]<-cumsum(catprops[,1]) Columns 4:19 are the necessary ones in the attribute table. Then I use the following code to calculate the index -- note that the loop has "i in 1:19" because the Detroit subset has 19 polygons. cgidistsum <- 0 for(i in 1:19) { pranks <- vector() for(j in 4:19) { if (Detroit[i,j]==0) pranks <- append(pranks,0) else if (j == 4) pranks <- append(pranks,seq(0,catprops[1,2],by=catprops[1,2]/Detroit[i,j])) else pranks <- append(pranks,seq(catprops[j-4,2],catprops[j-3,2],by=catprops[j-3,1]/Detroit[i,j])) } distpranks <- vector() distpranks<-abs(pranks-median(pranks)) cgidistsum <- cgidistsum + sum(distpranks) } cgi <- (.25-(cgidistsum/sum(Detroit[,3])))/.25 My apologies if I've provided more information than is necessary. I would really like to exploit the adjacency matrix in order to calculate the CGI for each 'bundle' of these rows. If you happen to know how I could started with this, that would be great. and my apologies for any novice mistakes, I'm new to R!

  • Wait set time for user input C#

    - by Marlon
I need to know how to wait at set amount of time (about 10 seconds), for a user to input a key or set of keys, before proceeding with an 'auto run' portion of the application. This is bugging me because I can't quite figure out how the timer works, or threading.sleep, what should I use? Been googling all day.

  • Why are interfaces not [Serializable]?

    - by Zac Harlan
I would think that adding that attribute to an interface would be helpful make sure you do not create classes that use the interface and forget to make them serializable. This could be a very fundamental question, but I wanted to ask the experts.

  • can this simple SQL query be optimized?

    - by ibiza
Hi, I have the following query : SELECT COUNT(*) FROM Address adr INNER JOIN Auditable a on adr.UniqueId = a.UniqueId on a big DB (1.3M adresses, 4M+ auditables) both UniqueId columns are clustered primary keys the query is taking quite long to complete...I feel dumb, but is there any way to optimize it? I want to count all the address entries that have an underlying auditable... thanks!

  • scala: Adding attributes (odd and even rows) to xml table

    - by Debilski
In a Lift application, I’d like to add a special tag which takes the <tbody> part of the next table and adds odd and even classes (for example) to each <tr> tag. Alternating, of course. While I have found a way to add another attribute to all <tr> tags, there are still a few problems left (see code below). First, it doesn’t work. cycle.next is called too often, so in the end, everything is an odd row. Other problems are that the code doesn’t exclude inner tables (so a nested <tr> would be transformed as well) and that it also affects the <thead> part of the table. Ideas to make this code work? (Of course, if there already is a lift-based solution – without jQuery – for this, I’ll gratefully take it.) class Loop(val strs: String*) { val stream_iter = Stream.continually(strs.toStream).flatten.iterator def next = stream_iter.next } val cycle = new Loop("even", "odd") val rr = new RewriteRule { override def transform(n: Node): Seq[Node] = n match { case elem : Elem => elem match { case Elem(_, "tr", att @ _, _, _*) => elem % Attribute(None, "class", Text( List(att.get("class").getOrElse("").toString, cycle.next).reduceLeft(_+" "+_).trim ), Null) toSeq case other => other } case other => other } } val rt = new RuleTransformer(rr) val code = <table> <thead><tr><td>Don’t</td><td>transform this</td></tr></thead> <tbody> <tr class="otherclass"> <td>r1c1</td><td>r1c2</td> </tr> <tr> <td>r2c1</td><td>r2c2</td> </tr> <tr> <td>r3c1</td><td>r3c2</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> println(rt(code))

  • Switch two items in associative array PHP

    - by user280381
Example: $arr = array('apple'='sweet','grapefruit'='bitter','pear'='tasty','banana'='yellow'); I want to switch the positions of grapefruit and pear, so the array will become 'apple'='sweet','pear'='tasty','grapefruit'='bitter','banana'='yellow') I know the keys and values of the elements I want to switch, is there an easy way to do this? Or will it require a loop + creating a new array? Thanks

  • Secure automated SSH/SFTP after reboot

    - by mozillalives
I need to give a daemon ssh access to a particular server. Currently I have it setup to use ssh keys and a keychain, but the trouble with this method is if a reboot occurs. Unless I'm missing something, I would need to login after a system reboot and add the key to the keychain. Is there a way I could avoid/automate this? I'm considering using expect if I can't find any other way.

  • Regular expression from font to span (size and colour) and back (VB.NET)

    - by chapmanio
Hi, I am looking for a regular expression that can convert my font tags (only with size and colour attributes) into span tags with the relevant inline css. This will be done in VB.NET if that helps at all. I also need a regular expression to go the other way as well. To elaborate below is an example of the conversion I am looking for: <font size="10">some text</font> To then become: <span style="font-size:10px;">some text</span> So converting the tag and putting a "px" at the end of whatever the font size is (I don't need to change/convert the font size, just stick px at the end). The regular expression needs to cope with a font tag that only has a size attribute, only a color attribute, or both: <font size="10">some text</font> <font color="#000000">some text</font> <font size="10" color="#000000">some text</font> <font color="#000000" size="10">some text</font> I also need another regular expression to do the opposite conversion. So for example: <span style="font-size:10px;">some text</span> Will become: <font size="10">some text</font> As before converting the tag but this time removing the "px", I don't need to worry about changing the font size. Again this will also need to cope with the size styling, font styling, and a combination of both: <span style="font-size:10px;">some text</span> <span style="color:#000000;">some text</span> <span style="font-size:10px; color:#000000;">some text</span> <span style="color:#000000; font-size:10px;">some text</span> I apprecitate this is a lot to ask, I am hopeless with regular expressions and need to find a way of making these conversions in my code. Thanks so much to anyone that can/is willing to help me!
