    I have a MySQL query that: gets data from three tables linked by unique id's. counts the number of games played in each category, from each user and counts the number of games each user has played that fall under the "fps" category It seems to me that this code could be a lot smaller.     I have two basic SQL Server tables: Customer (ID [pk], AddressLine1, AddressLine2, AddressCity, AddressDistrict, AddressPostalCode) CustomerAddress(ID [pk], CustomerID [fk], Line1, Line2, City, District, PostalCode) CustomerAddress contains multiple addresses for the Customer record. For each Customer record I want to merge the most recent CustomerAddress record where most recent is determined by the highest CustomerAddress ID value. I've currently got the following: UPDATE Customer SET AddressLine1 = CustomerAddress.Line1, AddressPostalCode = CustomerAddress.PostalCode FROM Customer, CustomerAddress WHERE Customer.ID = CustomerAddress.CustomerID which works but how can I ensure that the most recent (highest ID) CustomerAddress record is selected to update the Customer table?

  • I need to programmatically remove a batch of unique constraints that I don't know the names of.

    I maintain a product that is installed at multiple locations which as been haphazardly upgraded. Unique constraints were added to a number of tables, but I have no idea what the names are at any particular instance. What I do know is the table/columnname pair that has the unique constraints and I would like to write a script to delete any unique constraint on these column/table combinations. This is MSSQL 2000 and later. Something that works on 2000/2005/2008 would be best!

  • How to make dll referenced by ActiveX component accessible?

    I have an ActiveX component developed in C#. I'm referencing a dll which comes with other native dlls and it is loading them on the fly expecting them to be in the same folder (probably using Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().Location but not sure, I don't have control over them). There is also one ini file which is also expected to be in the same folder. When I run the application as Windows form app, everything is fine, of course. But the trouble comes when I run it within Internet Explorer as the base directory is at the location of iexplore.exe. Obviously neither the dlls or the ini file can be found and many temporary working files outputted by the dlls are located in Internet Explorer folder. The workaround is to copy all ddls and ini file into the ie folder but that is not something I'd be happy about. What is the proper solution to this? Can I somehow set the base path for the ActiveX component?

I guess there needs to be some sort of temporary tally variable for each item ID, but that seems like it could get messy with too many items.

But some other users have only currently datareader and datawriter rights ,and when they execute any SP referring the logic which uses the key and certificate "User does has not right on the certificate to execute". What rights / exact permission should i grant them just to solve this problem

    I am working on a project where i need to create a database with 300 tables for each user who wants to see the demo application. it was working fine but today when i was testing with a new user to see a demo it showed me this error message 1030 Got error 28 from storage engine After spending some time googling i found it is an error that is related to space of database or temporary files. I tried to fix it but i failed. now i am not even able to start mysql. How can i fix this and i would also like to increase the size to maximum so that i won't face the same issue again and again.
