• Google crawling the site but refusing to index dynamic content

  I am trying to get Google to index an AJAX site (davidelifestyle.com). It's crawlable with JavaScript turned off and I have also recently implemented _escaped_content_ snapshot mechanism but all that's indexed is a home page and PDF files that are not directly available from the home page. Also when I use Fetch as Google in Webmaster Tools, it downloads the dynamic page but does not index it ("Submit to Index" just reloads the page). Any ideas what might be wrong?

  I'm making a sub nav in wordpress and have a nested list style menu. An example of the HTML is below. Whichever is the current item has the li class "current_page_item".   I want sub menu's of a verticle menu to expand and collapse when moused over. This is what i've got so far but it goes crazy if you do it to quick as all the animations run at once and on a delay. How can i make sure just one menu expands at a time.   OUM is not tool – specific. However, it does include tool guidance.  Tool guidance in OUM includes: a mention of a tool that could be used to complete a specific task(s) templates created with a specific tool example work products in a specific tool links to tool resources Tool Supplemental Guides So how do you find all this helpful tool information? Start at the lowest level first – the Task Overview.  Even though the task overviews are written tool-agnostic, they sometimes mention suggestions, or examples of a tool that might be used to complete the task.  More specific tool information can be found in the Task Overview, Templates and Tools section.  In some cases, the tool used to create the template (for example, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Project and Visio) is useful. The Templates and Tools section also provides more specific tool guidance, such as links to: White Papers Viewlets Example Work Products Additional Resources Tool Supplemental Guides If you’re more interested in seeing what tools might be helpful in general for your project or to see if there is any tool guidance for a specific tool that your project is committed to using, go to the Supplemental Guidance page in OUM.  This page is available from the Method Navigation pull down located in the header of almost every OUM page.   Hello, I am trying to learn how to write cookies to keep the data in my CookieButton1 button persistent and to survive refreshes and page reloads. How can I do this in JavaScript? I have supplied my source code. Any advise, links or tutorials will be very helpful. If you navigate to http://iqlusion.net/test.html and click on Empty1, it will start to ask you questions. When finished it stores everything into CookieButton1. But when I refresh my browser the data resets and goes away.   I am having an intermittent issue that is appearing on one server only, and is causing all MVC pages to fail to load with the error "An item with the same key has already been added." Security accessibility of the overriding method must match the security accessibility of the method being overriden. I think the issue is caused by the fact that I am overriding GetObjectData. I know one answer for resolving the issue is to set the SecurityRuleSet: [assembly: SecurityRules(SecurityRuleSet.Level1)] This is not an acceptable answer, I'd like to know how to fix the issue without having to relax the default security rules in .NET 4.

  Hi, I'm using the subprocess module to start a subprocess and connect to it's output stream (stdout). I want to be able to execute non-blocking reads on its stdout. Is there a way to make .readline non-bloking or to check if there is data on the stream before I invoke .readline? I'd like this to be portable or at least work under Windows and Linux. here is how I do it for now (It's blocking on the .readline if no data is avaible): p = subprocess.Popen('myprogram.exe', stdout = subprocess.PIPE) str = p.stdout.readline() Thanks for your help.

  We are attempting to implement Microsoft VSS for snap-shotting in our NetBackup 6.5.3.1 environment. The clients are both 32 & 64 bit Windows 2003 Server. Snapshot parameters are: Instant recovery is enabled Maximum snapshots = 1 Provider type = 1 (System) Snapshot attribute = 1 (Differential) All backups successfully complete, and VSS shadows are successfully created both for the snapshot backup and for the open files (shadow copy components). The Issue: NetBackup is not clearing or overwriting old snapshots with each successive backup. When we list shadows, and shadow storage, it is increasing and increasing. IT is not honouring the Maximum Snapshot setting. The Logs: The bpfis log doesn’t really appear to show any errors other than for methods which we are not employing (VxVM, Flashsnap, etc.). • Issue with Autofac 2 and MVC2 using HttpRequestScoped

  I'm running into an issue with Autofac2 and MVC2. The problem is that I am trying to resolve a series of dependencies where the root dependency is HttpRequestScoped. When I try to resolve my UnitOfWork (which is Disposable), Autofac fails because the internal disposer is trying to add the UnitOfWork object to an internal disposal list which is null. Maybe I'm registering my dependencies with the wrong lifetimes, but I've tried many different combinations with no luck. The only requirement I have is that MyDataContext lasts for the entire HttpRequest. I've posted a demo version of the code for download here. When I try to resolve the AccountController, I get the following error: No scope matching the expression 'value(Autofac.Builder.RegistrationBuilder`3+<c__DisplayClass0[...]).lifetimeScopeTag.Equals(scope.Tag)' is visible from the scope in which the instance was requested. Do I have my dependency lifetimes set up incorrectly?

• What are the pro and cons of statically linking a library?

  Hi, I want to release an application I developed as a hobby both for Linux and Windows. This application depends on boost (and possibly other libraries). The norm for this kind of application (a chess engine) is to provide only an executable file and possibly some helper files. I tough it would be a good idea to statically link the libraries so the executable would not have any dependencies. So the end user can just put the executable in a directory and start using it. However, while doing some research online I found some negative comments about statically linking libraries, some even arguing that an application with statically linked libraries would be hardly portable, meaning that it would only run on my system of highly similar systems. So what are the pros and cons of statically linking library? I already know that the executable will be bigger. But I can't see why it would make my application less portable.

  Suppose I have a dependency that is registered as HttpRequestScoped so there is only one instance per request. How could I resolve a dependency of the same type outside of an HttpRequest? • Avoiding Service Locator with AutoFac 2

  I'm building an application which uses AutoFac 2 for DI. I've been reading that using a static IoCHelper (Service Locator) should be avoided. Continuing down this path, I'm curious if I can completely eliminate my IoCHelper. Here is the scenario: I have a static Settings class that serves as a wrapper around my configuration implementation. Since the Settings class is a dependency to a majority of my other classes, the wrapper keeps me from having to inject the settings class all over my application.
