  I have a web service that is working fine in one environment but not in another. The web service gets document meta data from SharePoint, it running on a server where I cant debug but with logging I confirmed that the method enters and exits successfully. What could be the reason for the errors? Using the Python portion, I have recursion problems as noted in Issue 70 and Issue 59 but can't find a recent Mercurial revision that is stable.   The command line: /bin/echo -e "\007" in bash will ring the bell. With the line: /bin/echo -e "\007" in my crontab I expected the bell to ring every minute, but it's silent. I know crontab is working because the line: /bin/touch $HOME/jkjkjk updates the file jkjkjk every minute as it should. I found a posting some years ago suggesting that standard output should be directed to /dev/tty1 in crontab. But the line: /bin/echo "\007" /dev/tty1 Still fails. What to try next?

My XML looks like this: <event value1="1" value2="2" value3="3" <info="some info here"/> Line 1.</lb> Line 2.</lb></lb> Line 3.</lb> Line 4.</lb> </event> My goal is to convert the </lb> nodes to </br> HTML tags using XSLT. There is one additional requirement to fulfill though. In case there is one </lb> directly following another </lb> I want to output only one </br>. My XSLT looks like this: <xsl:template match="lb"> <xsl:if test="not(preceding-sibling::lb[1])"> <br/> </xsl:if> </xsl:template> The problem with the XSLT above is that it works correctly for line 1 only as the text between both nodes is ignored.   Hello, Since I had a very slow scrolling tableView I'm now trying to catch up with the direct draw method, similiar to the Tweetie App sample or Apples TableViewSuite code. So right now I'm struggling to draw NSString with more than one line. I'm using the [NSString drawAtPoint: forWidth: withFont: linebreakMode:] method, and it "breaks" the line, but it doesn't show the second line, it just cuts the rest of the string off. Is this a normal behavior and what can be the solution to multiple lines?

  Apologies for my longest question on SO ever. I'm trying to interface with a php frontend for a mysql database in ROOT (a CERN framework in C++ for high energy physics analysis). To start off with, I tried to get this php interface to play nice with wget and curl first because I'm more familiar with them. The following command works: wget --post-data "hostname=localhost:3306&un=joeuser&pw=psswd&myquery=show_spazio_databases;" http://some.host.edu/log/log_query_matlab.php The results are: database1 database2 That's good. Or, is there a standard way to format POST requests in a single line (I've seen multi-line stuff. Is that right?) Sorry I'm clueless! PS. The mysql query is show databases but the space has been replaced with _spazio_, Italian for space. The author of the db and php interface requires it (and various replacements for symbols), but has anyone seen this before? Trying to troubleshoot that was terrible!

  So I would like to set PATH and CLASSPATH system variables so I can use javac and java commands in the command line. I can just compile and run java programs in eclipse but I would also like to be able to run them through command line. This is where I have Java installed: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java jdk1.6.0_20 jre6 And this is where eclipse stores my Java projects: D:\java-projects HelloWorld bin HelloWorld.class src HelloWorld.java I have set up the PATH and CLASSPATH variables like this: PATH: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\bin CLASSPATH: D:\java-projects But it doesn't work. When I write: java HelloWorld Or: java HelloWorld.class I get error like this: Exception in thread “main” java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloWorld The error is longer, that's just the first line. How can I fix this? I'm mainly interested to be able to run compiled .class programs from the command line, I can do compiling in the eclipse.

  I just installed an IRC bot, B****X (Don't ask, I don't know - the real name is not censored). I did all of the configuration and chmod'ed the pl files to 755, but running it won't work. My host does not allow SSH/Shell (which is how the documentation says to runs he script), but just going to the URL usually works because of this. However, I get a 500 (Internal Server Error) error. • adding header row to gridview won't allow you to save the last item row

  I've modified my GridView to have an extra Header row, however that extra row has caused my grid view row count to be incorrect. Basically, when I want to save the Gridview now, it doesn't recognize the last item line. In my current test I have 5 Item Lines, however only 4 of them are being saved. • vim command to restructure/force text to 80 columns

  I know there are ways to automatically set the width of text in vim using set textwidth (like http://stackoverflow.com/questions/235439/vim-80-column-layout-concerns). What I am looking for is something similar to = (the indent line command) but to wrap to 80. The use case is sometimes you edit text with textwidth and after joining lines or deleting/adding text it comes out poorly wrapped. Ideally, this command would completely reorganize the lines I select and chop off long lines while adding to short ones. An example: long line is long! short After running the command (assuming the wrap was 13 cols): long line is long! short If this isn't possible with a true vim command, perhaps there is a command-line program which does this that I can pipe the input to?

• \n not working in my fwrite()

  Not sure what could be the problem. I'm dumping data from an array $theArray into theFile.txt, each array item on a separate line. $file = fopen("theFile.txt", "w"); foreach ($theArray as $arrayItem){ fwrite($file, $arrayItem . '\n'); } fclose($file); Problem is when I open theFile.txt, I see the \n being outputted literally. Also if I try to programmatically read the file line by line (just in case lines are there), it shows them as 1 line meaning \n are really not having their desired effect.

• Where does django look for sqlite3 installation/libraries?

  Am having a bit of a problem making my django application run in SUSE linux 9. I have Python2.5 installed well, Django 1.0 installed well. Am able to execute django command django-admin startproject fine But when i run the runserver command i get the error below. i have a folder with sqlite3, i can go in there and actually run the sqlite3* application, now am wondering where does Django look for the sqlite libraries? and how can i fix this? • Firefox adds <br> when paste from Word in TinyMCE

  I'm currently using TinyMCE 3.3 on a drupal site, with an annoying problem. Using both "paste from word"-button or "Force cleanup on paste" in Firefox cause TinyMCE to insert line-breaks in my paragraphs where the line would have ended in Word. In IE, I do not have this problem. When viewing the source code in the editor, it doesn't show a -tag, but an actual line-break. When viewing the normal text in the editor, I see no linebreak at all, but on saving, it's really there when viewing the page. Even in the beginning of every first line of every paragraph it insert a linebreak. How do I solve this?? "Remove linebreaks" isn't an option, since people want to insert linebreaks to create some vertical spacing.

  I can't figure out why this isn't working. I'm trying to send an email from my school email address with this code I got online. The same code works for sending from my GMail address. Does anyone know what this error means?   I'm trying to use an RSS feed from my blog on the news section on another site. Everything seems to be working fine until I use something like an ellipsis on my blog. The expected output is: One more time…less fail Although this is no joking matter… The actual output is: One more time?less fail Although this is no joking matter… The problem is that ? should be a .... The code I'm using is the same for the first line (the blog title) and the second line (the blog contents) and that code is: $a = utf8_decode($a); print("$a"); Where $a is the string from the RSS feed. Can anyone point in the right direction why that code would work correctly for the body (second line) and not for the title (first line)? Or suggest a better way to do this? Thanks!

• Multiple lines of text to a single map

  I've been trying to use Hadoop to send N amount of lines to a single mapping. I don't require for the lines to be split already. I've tried to use NLineInputFormat, however that sends N lines of text from the data to each mapper one line at a time [giving up after the Nth line]. I have tried to set the option and it only takes N lines of input sending it at 1 line at a time to each map: job.setInt("mapred.line.input.format.linespermap", 10); I've found a mailing list recommending me to override LineRecordReader::next, however that is not that simple, as that the internal data members are all private. I've just checked the source for NLineInputFormat and it hard codes LineReader, so overriding will not help. Also, btw I'm using Hadoop 0.18 for compatibility with the Amazon EC2 MapReduce.
