  • I have a error building a .vdproj on msbuild with nant

    I'm getting used to using nant for build releases. But I have started to use asp.net MVC, and i choice make the setup for installation with a .vdproj . But, when I call the: < exec program="${dotnet.dir}/msbuild.exe" commandline='"./Wum.sln" /v:q /nologo /p:Configuration=Release' / in nant, my result is: [exec] D:\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Wum\Wum.sln : warning MS B4078: The project file "Wum.Setup\Wum.Setup.vdproj" is not supported by MSBuild and cannot be built. Someone have some clue, or a solution? If I use the devenv, I'll have a problem? Thanks in advance.

    On linux, we have LIBRARY_PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables in order for programs to search for libraries. Do we have similar thing on windows? Particularly Windows 7? Also, I would like to know best practices for DLL use (where to put them, use envs or not, etc.), since I want to work on windows like everyone does, and not to sloth myself on workarounds :)

    I am trying to package a simple maven java project (uses javax.persistence api) into a single jar using the onejar-maven-plugin. I can run the program fine in eclipse; however when execute the onejar I get the exception below. If someone could provide some insight, that would be appreciated.     Ok I'm a newbie at Android programming, have a hard time with the graphics part. Understand the beauty of creating layout in XML file, but lost how to access various elements, especially a View element to draw on it. Catching button events and responding to, for example changing title bar text and changing View background color works fine, but how the heck do I access and more importantly draw on the view defined in main.xml UPDATE: That for your suggestion, however besides that I need a View, not ImageView and you are missing a parameter on canvas.drawText and an ending bracket, it does not work. Now this is most likely because you missed the fact that I am a newbie and assuming I can fill in any blanks. I hope somebody can break this down for me and provide a solution, and perhaps explain why I can't just create a View element in my main.xml layotu file and draw on it in code.

  • Help with force close occurrences in my app

    This is the last issue with this app. Periodic force close situations. I think something should be on another thread but I'm not sure what. Anyway, I can always count on a freeze on first install. If I wait, eventually (maybe 10 seconds) the app comes around, maybe more. here is an excerpt from logcat--the three lines occur after full layout is displayed and I attempt to touch a [game] 'peg' which should spawn a sprite, but the freeze occurs there.     Hello, I'm trying to match an email address here is what I've come up with so far : String text = "gandalf_storm@mymail.com"; String regex = "(\\w+)@{1}(\\w+){2,}\\.{1}\\w{2,4}"; This however works with following cases : gandalf_storm@mymail.com gandalfstorm@mymail.com gandalf2storm@mymail.com So it matches any alphanumeric character repeated once or more that comes before one @ followed by any alphanumeric character repeated at least two times(which is minimal characters for any domain name) followed by one .(dot) and followed by any alphanumeric character repeated at least 2 times and at most 4 times(because there are domains such as .us or .mobi). This expression however does not work with emails such as : gandalf.storm@mymail.com [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] etc as many subdomains or gandalf.storm@mymail.com [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] I've just started to learn regex and I found interesting to try to solve problems such as these by using regex .. not partially but for each case, any help would be much appriciated. This is firs time working with openid and i've had to figure out how exactly this open id works. I have more or less understood it, by now, but there are few things that elude me. The authentication process starts when the request is put together in in django-socialauth.openid_consumer.views.begin.     Is there any microsoft or even non-official documentation for SOS for Silverlight. Other than a few web posts I have seen zero documentation for it on MSDN. Even official documentation for the CLR version of SOS seems hard to find, this ancient article mentions a sos.htm file that is included in the windows SDK but it doesn't appear to be there any more. Any pointers to debugging Silveright with SOS?   • Cross domain cookie reading/setting cross browsers

    I know there are already a few threads available here on this subject but I want others' opinion on this. There are two ways to set/read the cross domain cookies: Creating IFrame on A.com pointing to a page on B.com which creates the cookie and pass that information by creating another IFrame on B.com side pointing to A.com, either using window.name or in location.href.hash A.com page makes a XHR/JSONP call to B.com web service/page that has the following headers and it also sets up the cookie and returns the value. AddHeader("p3p", "CP=\"IDC DSP COR ADM DEVi TAIi PSA PSD IVAi IVDi CONi HIS OUR IND CNT\"") As we don't have postMessage available across all the browsers, I believe we have to go with one of the cases mentioned above. My question is which is a better way (cleaner) and why to implement for cross browser. Using any other JS framework is out of scope of this discussion.   • CSS: series of floated elements without wrapping but rather scrolling horizontally

    I'm working on a album viewer. At the top I want a horizontal container of all the image thumbnails. Right now all the thumbnails are wrapped in a div with float:left. I'm trying to figure out how to keep these thumbnails from wrapping to the next line when there are too many, but rather stay all in one horizontal row and use the scrollbar.   • Avoiding the Controller with Routing Rules in ASP.NET MVC

    I've created a website with ASP.NET MVC. I have a number of static pages that I am currently serving through a single controller called Home. This creates some rather ugly URLs. example.com/Home/About example.com/Home/ContactUs example.com/Home/Features You get the idea. I'd rather not have to create a controller for each one of these as the actions simply call the View with no model being passed in. Is there a way to write a routing rule that will remove the controller from the URL? I'd like it to look like: example.com/About example.com/ContactUs example.com/Features If not, how is this situation normally handled? I imagine I'm not the first person to run in to this.

    I am using a simple text editor from YUI, but when I click submit the code in the textarea/editor is not sent to the next page. I want to be able to receive it on the subsequent page and then store it in a DB(MySql). I have wasted lot of time already. Please help.   • Create Task Report from Mylyn?

    Hello all - is there a way to create a task/activity report (say a weekly report) off tasks managed with Mylyn? I've been using Rachota TimeTracker which allows me to create reports (in html format) http://rachota.sourceforge.net/en/demo.html I've just started using mylyn (our company uses Embarcadero JBuilder which is is based on Eclipse), but I don't see anywhere in the Eclipse or Embarcadero docs about reporting capabilities. Is it possible? Is it possible to query activities worked on a prior week and report statistics out of it (management like reports, you know;) I'm sure it is, but I haven't been able to google it out. Thanks.

This is firs time working with openid and i've had to figure out how exactly this open id works. I have more or less understood it, by now, but there are few things that elude me. The authentication process starts when the request is put together in in django-socialauth.openid_consumer.views.begin. For example, when this happens, there are no indications that the nodes in the cluster ever had an issue with the request (there is nothing in the logs on either node that indicate any timeout or failure). Also, I enabled the trace on the driver, which gives you some nice autotrace (ala Oracle) info as long as the query succeeds. But in this case, the driver blows a NoHostAvailableException and no ExecutionInfo is available, so tracing has not provided any benefit in this case. I also find it interesting that this does not seem to be recorded as a timeout (my JMX consoles tell me no timeouts have occurred). So, I am left not understanding WHERE the failure is actually occurring. I am left with the idea that it is the driver that is having a problem, but I don't know how to debug it (and I would really like to). I have read several posts from folks that state that query'g for resultSets 10000 rows is probably not a good idea, and I am willing to accept this, but I would like to understand what is causing the exception and where the exception is happening. FWIW, I also tried bumping the timeout properties in the cassandra.yaml, but this made no difference whatsoever. I welcome any suggestions, anecdotes, insults, or monetary contributions for my registration in the house of moron-developers. Regards!!

    I'm trying to deploy a site generated with Jekyll and would like to keep the site in its own subfolder on my server to keep everything more organized. Essentially, I'd like to use the contents of /jekyll as the root unless a file similarly named exists in the actual web root. So something like /jekyll/sample-page/ would show as http://www.example.com/sample-page/, while something like /other-folder/ would display as http://www.example.com/other-folder. My test server runs Apache 2.2 and the following .htaccess (adapted from http://gist.github.com/97822) works flawlessly: RewriteEngine On # Map http://www.example.com to /jekyll. RewriteRule ^$ /jekyll/ [L] # Map http://www.example.com/x to /jekyll/x unless there is a x in the web root. How can I use the /jekyll/ directory as the site root without revealing the actual URL structure? Edit: After a ton of research into Apache 1.3, I've found that this problem is essentially a combination of two different issues listed at the Apache 1.3 URL Rewriting Guide. I have a (partially) moved DocumentRoot, which in theory would be taken care of with something like this: RewriteRule ^/$ /e/www/ [R] I also have the infamous "Trailing Slash Problem," which is solved by setting the RewriteBase (as was suggested in one of the responses below): RewriteBase /~quux/ RewriteRule ^foo$ foo/ [R] The problem is combining the two. Moving the document root doesn't (can't?) use RewriteBase—fixing trailing slashes requires(?) it… Hmm…

    I have a project that uses the moodle library. I had to change the URL from moodle.example.com to learn.example.com, due to a client request. I thought this would be an easy change, but alas moodle inserts all links and images in with the complete url instead of the relative url. Is it possible using mod-rewrite to point all requests to moodle.example.com to learn.example.com and maintain the query string? Example: I want a request to: http://moodle.example.com/course/view.php?id=2&topic=1 to go to http://learn.example.com/course/view.php?id=2&topic=1. Is this possible? Thanks, Josh

    Hey so I get this error in this code: Private Sub Request_Stuff_button_Click() Call Main.createObjects Call My_Control.requestStuff End Sub at the 'Call My_Control.requestStuff' line. The 'Main' module looks like this: Public My_Control As ControlObject Public Sub createObjects() If My_Control Is Nothing Then Set My_Control = New ControlObject End If End Sub The weirdest thing is that when I add Dim x As Integer x = My_Control.dummyInt right before the line that gets me the error, x gets the correct value right before the error happens which means My_Control is definitely an object and is definitely not nothing. This error is killing me, thanks in advance.
