  When using ria service for SL app, I can issue following async call to get a group of entity list. LoadOperation<Person> ch = this.AMSContext.Load(this.AMSContext.GetPersonQuery().Where(a => a.PersonID == this.performer.PersonID)); But I want to get some calculation, for example, sum(Commission), sum(Salary), the result is not entity, just a scalar value. How can I do this?

  I'd like to know if having to conditionals when using a JOIN keyword is a good practice. I'm trying to filter this resultset by date but I'm unable to get all the branches listed even if there's no expense or income for a date using a WHERE clause. Is there a better way of doing this, if so how? • Google App Engine - Cannot See Children in Datastore Viewer

  I have the following kinds/relationships in my datastore: UserAccount 1-to-1 PersistentLogin 1-to-many PersistentLogins They are all in the same entity group and UserAccount is the parent. Should I expect to see the other kinds in the datastore viewer? Currently, I only see UserAccount entities, but I'm pretty confident the other entities are there because my code is working as expected. Is this just a nuance of the datastore viewer?

  I have a table, which looks like: +-----------+----------+ + person_id + group_id + +-----------+----------+ + 1 + 10 + + 1 + 20 + + 1 + 30 + + 2 + 10 + + 2 + 20 + + 3 + 10 + +-----------+----------+ I need a query such that only person_ids with groups 10 AND 20 AND 30 are returned (only person_id: 1). I am not sure how to do this, as from what I can see it would require me to group the rows by person_id and then select the rows which contain all group_ids. I'm looking for something which will preserve the use of keys without resorting to string operations on group_concat() or such.

  When I try to create a unique index on a large table, I get a unique contraint error. The unique index in this case is a composite key of 4 columns. Is there an efficient way to identify the duplicates other than : select col1, col2, col3, col4, count() from Table1 group by col1, col2, col3, col4 having count() 1 The explain plan above shows full table scan with extremely high cost, and just want to find if there is another way.
