  • Ultimate chat-client API for .NET?

    Does anyone know of a .NET API (source-code is preferrable of course) that I can access all the common chat clients thru it (GT, Yahoo, MSN, AIM, FB, ICQ, SKYPE and more)? I guess I am looking for a .NET library project that performs something like pidjin. I need it because I hate Pidgin's interface and functionality, and I want to have a Google-Talk desktop like UI. Any comments and tips will also be very useful. Thanks.

  • Problem starting up mySQL

    I just downloaded PHP and I tried running mySQL with the command: C:\Program Files\EasyPHP-5.3.2i\mySQL\bin\mysql.exe And I got the error: ERROR 1045 (28000): Acess denied for user 'ODBC'@localhost' (using password: YES) I found a solution online with linux, but I'm running vista on this machine and have no clue what all of that meant. Please help, I'm tired of using the school's terminals.

    Hi, I'm having space issues on my Vista machine and need to figure out what's taking up so much space. I would like to write a simple batch file that returns all folders under C: and the size of each folder. The dir command doesn't appear to return folder size. Unfortunately we don't have admin rights and can't install a third party application and we have other users in our group that also need this information. Thanks...

  • In what situations does Flash / SWF misbehave in different browsers?

    Hi, Recently I had some issues with Flash in IE, involving a SWF which is something like a gallery. In Firefox its loads perfectly, but in IE it doesn't work properly sometimes. The first time it is loaded its works fine but when I refresh all the images are blank. The image data came from XML. I wish to get some tips regarding the browsers and Flash / SWF behavior in each.     Hello! I found on the web few samples on tracking RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) with Wireshark, but it doesn't work for me. All RTMPT packets rendered as basic TCP packet like this: 149 14.324999 85.115.xxx.xxx 192.168.1.20 TCP macromedia-fcs > 54557 [ACK] Seq=1 Ack=1452 Win=69 Len=0 I'm using Wireshark 1.2.8 with all protocols installed on Windows Vista. What can i do to fix it? Thx!

    Hi All, I am trying to compare to textbox values on an aspx form. Both the values represent dates. The are formatted like "dd/MMM/yyyy". How can I compare them in javascript to see if they are not equal and which one is greater etc... Does javascript have a date constructor for strings like this? Any tips would be appreciated.   • Visual Studio registry capture utility has encountered a problem

    I recently reinstalled my development machine and went from 32 bit Windows Vista to 64 bit Windows 7. I'm running VS2008. Some of my .NET applications still use J#, which now causes problems. The program still runs, but when I want to deploy it (I'm using a setup project to create a .msi), I get this error: "Visual Studio registry capture utility has encountered a problem" How can I fix this? This error does not occur with other programs (those written purely in C#).

We currently are using Wix for our installers as they play nice with MSBuild and I need to use it to create the installer for the outlook add-in. How would I get a list of States with the number of distinct SSN's in each state?     So I have a URL that I need my Flash movie to extract variables from: example link: http://www.example.com/example_xml.php?aID=1234&bID=5678 I need to get the aID and the bID numbers. I'm able to get the full URL into a String via ExternalInterface var url:String = ExternalInterface.call("window.location.href.toString"); if (url) testField.text = url; Just unsure as how to manipulate the String to just get the 1234 and 5678 numbers. Appreciate any tips, links or help with this!
