  I have a DLL that I would like to install into the Global Assembly Cache so that it can be referenced from multiple locations. I have a File declaration with the Assembly attribute set to ".net" but when the installation tries to install the DLL into the GAC, I get the following error (I have tided it up a bit to make it more readable): MSI (s) (58:38) [19:14:31:031]: Product: MyProductName 1.01 -- Error 1935.   Hi all: I've been trying to programmatically copy custom content type and its custom columns from one web to another for some time now, and every time I get some sort of error or exception. After yet more tries, I received another strange and cryptic exception from Sharepoint after clicking onto a newly copied custom column in a custom content type. I checked the logs, and this is what I got: Failed to find the content type schema for ct-1033-0x1000blahblahblahcontenttypeId while caching feature data. Unknown SPRequest error occurred. More informationL 0x8000ffff Unable to locate the xml-definition for CType with SPContentTypeId '0x0100MorecontenttypeId', exception: Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: Catastrophic failure(Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED)) ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8000FFFF): Catastrophic failure... ... at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequestInternalClass.GetGlobalContentTypeXml(String bstrUrl, Int32 type, UInt 32 lcid, Object varIdBytes... It failed to find quite a few content type schema. I'm confused with what Sharepoint is trying to do here, and why a simple process of copying a custom content type from one web to another just wouldn't work in contrast to the information found on the web e.g. this.   If anyone can help me figure out why I am getting the following error when making a call to my WCF service I would be eternally grateful. The maximum message size quota for incoming messages (65536) has been exceeded. To increase the quota, use the MaxReceivedMessageSize property on the appropriate binding element. I have tried modifying the config file on both the service and client, and made sure the service name includes the namespace. I cannt seem to make any progress. • Eclipse Helios - Not Stopping at Breakpoints (Help!)

  Dear Eclipse Expert, I recently upgraded from Eclipse Galileo to Helios. Helios stops at breakpoints ONLY when debugging "as a PHP Script", but not when debugging "as a Web Page". When debugging as a web page, it looks like the correct debug query string to start a debug session is getting tacked on to the url, like so: http://localhost/hello.php?XDEBUG_SESSION_START=ECLIPSE_DBGP &KEY=129798139020511 but elipse does not stop at the breakpoints. It just zooms thru the code and displays the output in the browser.   Inspired by http://xkcd.com/710/ here is a code golf for it. The Challenge Given a positive integer greater than 0, print out the hailstone sequence for that number. The Hailstone Sequence See Wikipedia for more detail.. If the number is even, divide it by two. If the number is odd, triple it and add one. Repeat this with the number produced until it reaches 1. (if it continues after 1, it will go in an infinite loop of 1 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1...) Sometimes code is the best way to explain, so here is some from Wikipedia function collatz(n) show n if n > 1 if n is odd call collatz(3n + 1) else call collatz(n / 2) This code works, but I am adding on an extra challenge. The program must not be vulnerable to stack overflows. So it must either use iteration or tail recursion. Also, bonus points for if it can calculate big numbers and the language does not already have it implemented. (or if you reimplement big number support using fixed-length integers) Test case Number: 21 Results: 21 -> 64 -> 32 -> 16 -> 8 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1 Number: 3 Results: 3 -> 10 -> 5 -> 16 -> 8 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1 Also, the code golf must include full user input and output.

• determine parity of a bit representation of a number in MIPS

  Is there some instruction in MIPS that will determine the parity of a certain bit representation? I know to determine whether a "number" has an even parity or an odd parity is to XOR the individual bits of the binary representation together, but that seems computationally-intensive for a set of MIPS instructions... and I need to do this as quick as possible. Also, the number I'm working in is represented in Grey Code... just to throw that in there. So is there some pseudo-instruction in MIPS to determine the parity of a "number" or do I have to do it by hand? If there is no MIPS instruction, which it seems very unlikely to be, any advice on how to do it by hand?   I've seen this question and since it doesn't answer my question and the topic is fairly miss-leading in my opinion, I feel the urge to ask this again. I have a Sharepoint Webpart that I deploy using Visual Studio Sharepoint Tools 1.2 to a Sharepoint Services 3.0 instance on my local Windows 2003 server. All works great, however, as soon as I add a WCF Service it won't run the code. All I get is a File not found error.   I am supporting an ASP.Net 3.5 web application and users are experiencing a timeout error after 30 seconds when trying to run a report. Looking around the web it seems it's easy enough to change the timeout in the code, unfortunately I'm not able to access the code and recompile. QUESTION: Will ONE code signing certificate be enough or do I need one for Microsoft executables, and a second for things like Word and Excel macros? my main goal is to sign things like vs2008 code snippets so that I can export them securely; however, I would like to be able to use the same code signing certificate for signing other items too.   In revision 1 a folder existed. In revision 2 the folder was accidently deleted and the change committed. We wish to roll back such that the folder is present, and retain its history. In the TortoiseSVN docs it indicates 'how' in the section titled "Getting a deleted file or folder back". To quote: Getting a deleted file or folder back If you have deleted a file or a folder and already committed that delete operation to the repository, then a normal TortoiseSVN - Revert can't bring it back anymore. But the file or folder is not lost at all. If you know the revision the file or folder got deleted (if you don't, use the log dialog to find out) open the repository browser and switch to that revision. Then select the file or folder you deleted, right-click and select [Context Menu] - [Copy to...] as the target for that copy operation select the path to your working copy. A switch retrieves the file into my working copy as one would expect, however there is no "Copy to" option on the context menu when I right click this working copy. If I open the repos browser, there is a copy to option, but it seems this simply takes a copy of the file. The solution I feel is to do a Branch/Tag, but if I try this from a prior revision to the same path in the repository SVN throws error that the path already exists. I am using a wizard with a good deal of data collection so chances are my ViewSate is large.   I've got a Python program that needs to create a named temporary file which will be opened and closed a couple times over the course of the program, and should be deleted when the program exits. Unfortunately, none of the options in tempfile seem to work: TemporaryFile doesn't have a visible name NamedTemporaryFile creates a file-like object. I just need a filename. I've tried closing the object it returns (after setting delete = False) but I get stream errors when I try to open the file later. SpooledTemporaryFile doesn't have a visible name mkstemp returns both the open file object and the name; it doesn't guarantee the file is deleted when the program exits mktemp returns the filename, but doesn't guarantee the file is deleted when the program exits I've tried using mktemp1 within a context manager, like so: def get_temp_file(suffix): class TempFile(object): def __init__(self): self.name = tempfile.mktemp(suffix = '.test') def __enter__(self): return self def __exit__(self, ex_type, ex_value, ex_tb): if os.path.exists(self.name): try: os.remove(self.name) except: print sys.exc_info() return TempFile() ... but that gives me a WindowsError(32, 'The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process'). The filename is used by a process my program spawns, and even though I ensure that process finishes before I exit, it seems to have a race condition out of my control. • Getting an Error Trying to Create an Object in Python

  I am trying to create an object from a class in python but I am getting an Error, "e_tank = EnemyTank() TypeError: 'Group' object is not callable" I am not sure what this means, I have tried Google but I couldn't get a clear answer on what is causing this error. Does anyone understand why I am unable to create an object from my EnemyTank Class? • Incompatibility between x86 and x64 in Installation solution

  Hello, I have installation solution that have installer project (not web installer but simple installer) that installs NT services, web service and web sites with help of additional two projects of dlls with my own code that performs my installation step. In user actions of installer project I call installer function of one of those projects, and this project calls to installer of second project: installer - MiddleCaller - InstallationCore. All this developing on Windows 7 and work fine when I compile all in 32 bit. The project must run on Windows 2008. Because of some reasons all must be in x64 bit. For this purpose, in MiddleCaller and InstallationCore I click right button of mouse on project - build - targer x64. For to move installer project to 64 bit in properties of installer (when project is active) I check: Target platform: x64. When I run installation on x86 I get error: The installation package is not supported by this processor type" And this is good, because now I know that my installation compiled in 64 bit, but when I run this on windows 2008 I get: Error 1001. Exception occured while initializing the instance: System.BadImageFormatException: could not load file or Assembly 'MiddleCaller, v...' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. Any one has some idea what I need to do for run fine the installation on x64? May be I still not moved the installer project to x64 bit, if yes, where I do this? Thank you for ahead.
