  I've tried searching but couldn't come up with a defined way on how to add your own packages to a GWT project. My tree structure looks like this: -com.mycompany -public MyApplication.html MyApplication.gwt.xml -com.mycompany.client MyApp.java -com.mycompany.gui TableLayout.java The answer I've seen out there says to add the packages relative to the root directory of the gwt.xml file, like so: <module> <inherits name="com.google.gwt.user.User" /> <entry-point class="com.mycompany.client.MyApp" /> <source path="client" /> <source path="gui" /> </module> It then complains: Unable to find type 'com.technicon.client.MyApp' Hint: Previous compiler errors may have made this type unavailable Hint: Check the inheritance chain from your module; it may not be inheriting a required module or a module may not be adding its source path entries properly Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix this?

• How do you handle browser cache with login/logout?

  To improve performances, I'd like to add a fairly long Cache-Control (up to 30 minutes) to each page since they do not change often. However, each page also displays the name of the user logged in (like this website). The problem is when the user logs in or logs out: the user name must change. How can I change the user name after each login/logout action while keeping a long Cache-Control? Here are the solutions I can think of: Ajax request (not cached) to retrieve and display the user name. If I have 2 requests (/user?registered and /user?new), they could be cached as well. But I am afraid this extra request would nullify my caching performance-wise Add a unique URL variable (?time=) to make the URL different, and cancel the cache. However, I would have to add this variable to all links on my webpage, not very convenient code-wise This problems becomes greater if I actually have more content that is not the same for registered users and new users.

  Hi folks. I have an issue while displaying several forms of the same model on the same page. The problem is that with the NameFormat, the fields have the same ID : $this->widgetSchema->setNameFormat('display[%s]'); Will display <form class="update_display_form" id="update_display_0" action="/iperf/web/frontend_dev.php/update_display" method="post"> <input type="checkbox" name="display[displayed]" checked="checked" id="display_displayed" /> <label for="display_displayed">test</label> </form> <form class="update_display_form" id="update_display_1" action="/iperf/web/frontend_dev.php/update_display" method="post"> <input type="checkbox" name="display[displayed]" checked="checked" id="display_displayed" /> <label for="display_displayed">truc</label> </form> And if you click on the second label, it will activate the first checkbox So I thought I could use the object id to make them unique : $this->widgetSchema->setNameFormat('display'.$this->getObject()->getId().'[%s]'); But then I can not process the request, since I don't know the name of the parameters. The best option I found was to set an ID : $this->widgetSchema['displayed']->setAttributes(array("id" => "display".$this->getObject()->getId() )); but then I totally loose the connections between the label and the checkbox. The problem would be solved if I could change the "for" attribute of my label. Does somebody know how to do that ? Or any other option ?

• Can I use the CSS :visited pseudo class on 'wildcard' links?

  Let's say I have a site with multiple links as follows: www.example.com/product/1 www.example.com/product/2 www.example.com/product/3 I also append tracking info to links from time to time so that I can see how my site is being used, e.g, if somebody visits the products page from the product browser I would set a ref parameter: www.example.com/product/1&ref=pb www.example.com/product/2&ref=pb www.example.com/product/3&ref=pb The problem with this is that if the user visits a link of the first type and then views a link of the second type then the :visited pseudo class doesn't seem to apply because the browser only seems to match on exact URLs. Is there any way to have "wildcards" apply to links in this sense, so that when the user sees either the first type or the second type of link that it is highlighted? Note: I cannot change this "ref" architecture; it is inherited.

I want the urls to mapped like this... www.example.com/nodes/main - www.example.com/main www.example.com/nodes/about - www.example.com/about So for this I wrote in my config/routes.php file.. Router::connect('/:action', array('controller' => 'nodes')); Now, I got the thing going but when I click on the links, the url in browser appears like www.example.com/nodes/main www.example.com/nodes/about Is there some way where I can get the urls to appear the way they are routed? The database schema relates the tables like this: Company - CompanyEmployeeXref - Employee - EmployeeAddressXref - Email I am using Entity Framework and I want to create a LINQ query that returns the name of the company and a comma-separated list of it's employee's email addresses.   Hello, I am looking at some sort of existing filter which can sanitize the user input to avoid XSS. Probably I can use htmlspecialchars for that. But at the same time I want to be able to parse all links (should match a.com, www.a.com and http://www.a.com and if it is http://www.aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.com then it should display it as aaa..a.com), e-mails and smileys. I am wondering what is the best way to go about it. I am currently using a php function with some regex, but many times the regex simply fails (because of link recognition is incorrect etc.). I want something very similar to the parser used during Google Chat (even a.com works). Thank you for your time.

• How to sort a Ruby Hash by number value?

  Hi everyone, I have a counter hash that I am trying to sort by count. The problem I am running into is that the default Hash.sort function sorts numbers like strings rather than by number size. i.e. Given Hash: metrics = {"sitea.com" => 745, "siteb.com" => 9, "sitec.com" => 10 } Running this code: metrics.sort {|a1,a2| a2[1]<=>a1[1]} will return a sorted array: [ 'siteb.com', 9, 'sitea.com', 745, 'sitec.com', 10] Even though 745 is a larger number than 9, 9 will appear first in the list. When trying to show who has the top count, this is making my life difficult. :) Any ideas on how to sort a hash (or an array even) by number value size? I appreciate any help.

The only common library used between the 2 apps is the FlurryAgent.jar for analytics. For the top app I have For the bottom app I have in the manifests. The only information I have been able to find out is about libraries (GSON) and needing to use dx but I am using Eclipse so that doesn't help. To make this more difficult, the error does NOT occur on the Android Market. Yet the testers at Amazon say that it FC 5/5 times on each of their devices (I tried using an emulator for their test devices and they worked fine). I know they use "wrapper" code around my app and I think it must be interfering in some way. Does anyone have any experience with this?

  I have SSL enabled for subdomain.mydomain.com so I can access files via https://subdomain.mydomain.com. Now please tell me if I'm right.. if I have file somwhere in subdomain.mydomain.com called index.php I can securely access it via: https://subdomain.mydomain.com/someFolder/index.php but I can also access it via http://subdomain.mydomain.com/someFolder/index.php This time communication won't be encrypted though. So now it comes down to links only if I access files in subdomain.mydomain.com securely or not? I will have another related question (and many more probably), but will post it as separate topic to keep things clean :)

• Tricking the server to load files faster?

  If we have a website with multiple images and videos, I've read that it's best to serve them from other domains so that the browser can simultaneously download a bunch of files, rather than waiting one by one for each file to be downloaded. For example, if we have a website http://example.com/, we might consider serving: Videos from http://video.example.com/ Images from http://images.example.com/ etc. Question: can we achieve the simultaneous downloading by tricking the browser into believing that the files are hosted there, or do they actually need to be at that location? We can, for example, pretend to serve video from http://video.example.com/ when actually it's just a clever htaccess rewrite that ACTUALLY serves from http://example.com/video.php. In this case, the video is being served from the main domain but because we refer it as http://video.example.com/, it may think that it's another domain and thus load files simultaneously, rather than one by one. Is this feasible?

  Within Eclipse, everything works perfectly when I run 'mvn install android:deploy'...however, this takes about 18 seconds to complete. Is there a faster way to launch my android application.   Has anyone spent any time comparing the various Objective C bridges and associated Cocoa wrappers for Mono? I want to port an existing C# application to run on OS X. Ideally I'd run the application on Mono, and build a native Cocoa UI for it. I'm wondering which bridge would be the best choice.   hi, i am new to a php site, only familiar with .net web forms sites. i can't figure out how routing is working on this php site. www.oursite.com/suggestions.php is to suggestions.php www.oursite.com/suggestions also loads the php fine www.oursite.com/suggestions/ loads the php, but no css is applied www.oursite.com/suggestions/anything - anything that comes after the '/' is ignored and suggestions is loaded without css. so oursite.com/suggestions////// works, as does oursite.com/suggestions/2/2/2/2/whatever i have searched but not found any good explanation on how this is working. can someone explain or provide a good resource? thank you.

• OpenID token from Google (using www)?

  I've come across the following situation when using OpenID and Google as the authenticator. If you type siteName.com it takes you to http://sitename.com Which returns a different token than if I were to login to www.siteName.com, which would take me to http://www.siteName.com As a result, Google returns a different authentication token. Is there a simple fix around this? Maybe redirect the user from siteName.com to www.siteName.com? Would this be a server issue, or is this something I can do programmatically? Thanks in advance for any answers, this question had plagued me for some time now as I just figured out why others had been receiving different credentials upon logging in.
