• Where did ULSTraceLog go to in the SharePoint 2010 Logging Database?

  The Logging Database is one of the many new concepts that will make the life of many SharePoint administrators quite a bit more enjoyable. In SharePoint 2007 the Unified Logging System (ULS) logged all of its data to text files, typically found on your SharePoint server in 12\LOGS.   Yes, here it is SQL Saturday #274 is coming to Slovenia (#sqlsatSlovenia). The event will take place on Saturday, December 21st, at company pixi* labs, Informacijske tehnologije, d.o.o. Poslovna cona A 2 SI-4208 Šencur This company generously offered to host the event. We, the whole Slovenian SQL Server community, are very grateful for this. At this time, a call for speakers went out, and we are already getting the first proposals. We are especially happy that we will get possibility to show the foreign speakers how beautiful Slovenia and especially the capital Ljubljana is in December. Expect a lot of partying right on the streets, no matter of weather. Be prepared, we have slightly weird customs when it comes to drinks. For example, our regular special discount offer is not three drinks for the price of two; it is six drinks for the price of five. A quick summary of the three events, and the flights it took to get me to each: SQL Saturday #105 - Dublin, Ireland Flights on March 21st: Providence -> Philadelphia (236 miles) Philadelphia -> Dublin (3,260 miles) Time zone change: +4 when we got there, plus Daylight Saving Time kicked in, so +5 after the event. • Exchange 2010 Deployment Notes &ndash; iPhone and Exchange ActiveSync issue

  After we moved one of our user mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to 2010, the user started getting a Cannot get mail. The connection to the server failed error message on their iPhone device. There are a lot of references on Google to check for inherited permissions to resolve the error message.  We quickly determined that we were not dealing with a permissions issue. After some additional troubleshooting and research, we were able to isolate the problem to a device partnership issue. To resolve the issue, use ADSI Edit to find the user object. When you find the user object, double-click on it and you should see a CN=ExchangeActiveSyncDevices container under the user object as shown below.  On the right-hand side, you should see one or more device partnerships.   Right-click the device partnership according to the device the user is using, and click Delete. After you remove the device partnership, please wait until Active Directory replication completes before you set up the device again.

• Is the June 2010 DX SDK really the latest?

  I have not been involved in game development, using the DirectX SDK, since around 2008. From the looks of it, the June 2010 release, of the DirectX SDK, is still the latest release. This release is more than two years ago, based on the name. Is this still the latest release, or has there been a naming convention change and I am missing something newer? I've seen mention of it being rolled into a Windows SDK, so I am confused and figured I would come here to ask. Thanks

  SharePoint 2010 Training: more information You might have seen the following dreadful message - As this post on blogs.msdn.com details out, this is due to a health analyzer rule configured in SharePoint. While that blogpost does a great job explaining why this monitoring is necessary, how you can tweak it, it still becomes a nuisance on SharePoint virtual machines used for development. It also becomes a nuisance on production environments because SharePoint databases are set to auto grow. In other words, as the database is being used, it only grows, and grows, and GROWS!
