  • Show information over image on rollover

    I want to be able to show information (HTML basically) over an image when the mouse rolls over the image... I know there is a .hover() jQuery function but am unsure how to use it to get the desired effect. Ideally when a user hovers over an image it would "grey out" (e.g. layer of 50% opacity black) with some HTML like a title etc etc. Can someone point me in the right direction or provide sample code Thanks

    I need some code samples (and I also really curious about them) of Scala and Java code which show that Scala code is more simple and concise then code written in Java (of course both samples should solve the same problem).     Here's my table with some sample data a_id | b_id ------------ 1 225 2 494 3 589 When I run this query INSERT IGNORE INTO table_name (a_id, b_id) VALUES ('4', '230') ('2', '494') It inserts both those rows when it's supposed to ignore the second value pair (2, 494) No indexes defined, neither of those columns are primary. What don't I know?

    I have a blog aggregator with many contributing blogs. I would like to distribute a snippet of javascript that contributors could place on their blogs. After placement the javascript would load a link and image that would point to the aggregator -- very much the same way that Google Adsense works but on a simpler and smaller scale.   • Why aren't Admob click callback delegate methods not getting called?

    I'm integrating the latest version of the admob sdk (version 20100412) into my app. The ads get displayed, but I need the app to make some changes when an ad is clicked and admob displays a full-screen browser. However, none of the callback methods (willPresentFullScreenModal, didPresentFullScreenModal, willDismissFullScreenModal, and didDismissFullScreenModal) are called, even though other delegate methods are. Why aren't these callbacks being made? They were in the previous versions of the SDK, and the sample app doesn't use them, so it's no help.

  • How do I audit CD/DVD tray opening events in Windows 7?

    Since installing Windows 7, the entire office has experienced random CD tray openings, sometimes while we are in the office, sometimes not. On my PC, I have two disc-reading devices, but only the top one ever slides open. I have found nothing in the event logs to that looks appropriate, even going to them right after I saw my own tray slide open all by itself. Although it's not hurting anything (that I can tell), I'd like to know what is going on. To that end, are there any useful ways to audit these events?

  • External monitor turning black intermittently

    I have installed an external monitor (Dell ST2220L, 21.5 inch) on my laptop (Sony Vaio). I am using a DVI-D cable for connection. Since the laptop does not have a DVI-D port, I have connected a DVI-D to HDMI connector on the laptop end and inserted the cable in HDMI port of the laptop.. I have switched off the laptop display and adjusted the screen resolution on the Dell external monitor to 1920 x 1080 and adjusted colors for the Windows 7 and brightness and contrast from the monitor. The problem is the monitor turns of blank intermittently for 1-2 seconds and turns on again at random interval. What could be the reason for this and how to get rid of this problem?
