  • Saving MP3 playlist to file

    Hello. I am making my own crude MP3 player, and I now have a JList with which I have populated a number of files in the form of MP3 objects (displayed on frame using DefaultListModel). I would now like to have the oppurtunity to save this JList to a file on disk. How would I go about doing this? I'm very new with programming and Java, so help is greatly appreciated.

  • What's your favorite cross domain cookie sharing approach?

    I see iframe/p3p trick is the most popular one around, but I personally don't like it because javascript + hidden fields + frame really make it look like a hack job. I've also come across a master-slave approach using web service to communicate (http://www.15seconds.com/issue/971108.htm) and it seems better because it's transparent to the user and it's robust against different browsers. Is there any better approaches, and what are the pros and cons of each?

    I have a dataframe which has merged player and team data for soccer seasons So for a particular player in a specific season I have data like df <- data.frame(team=c(NA,"CRP",NA,"CRP","CRP",NA), player=c(NA,"Ed",NA,"Ed","Ed",NA), playerGame= c(NA,1,NA,2,3,NA), teamGame =c(1,2,3,4,5,6)) Where the NA's indicate that the player did not appear in that specific team game How would I most efficiently replace the team and player NA's with "CRP" and "Ed" respectively and have a plGame output of, in this instance, 0,1,1,2,3,3

  • Good JavaScript engine for animating via Sprite Sheets (not in canvas)

    I've looked around a bit for a great JavaScript Sprite Sheet animator lib/engine but couldn't find any good ones so I thought I'd ask around =). What I'm looking for in the engine is: Animate an image in a non-canvas setting (ex: div via css or img tags) Control frame rate/animation speed Flags to loop or to animate once etc. Are there any engines like this out there? If not I can always make my own but then again, I don't want to re-invent the wheel =].

Firstly the menu panel shows up, than i need to switch to the other panel if a specific button is pressed on the menu (the menu is hidden but the app returns to it after running is completed). && i need to resize the frame too if it's possible. can i do this somehow?

PathMTU happens here, why fragmentation is implemented @ IP level is my question and why not implemented @ TCP/UDP level/code. Thank in advance.

    Is there a way to capture the screen but without the app itself getting shown. I know how to minimize or make a frame invisible but this has to be done real fast cos it's going to happen alot in each second (at least once every second). If I attempt to use JavaScript to resize it dynamically (setting a new width and height - either on the attributes of the canvas or via the style properties) I get the following error in Firefox: uncaught exception: [Exception...     Run this: for i in range(1000000000): a = [] It looks like the list objects being created never get marked for garbage collection. From a memory profiler, it looks like the interpreter's stack frame is holding onto all the list objects, so GC can never do anything about it. Is this by design?
