  Hi, I have a service that contains a map: static Map cargosMap = ['1':'item1','2':'item 2','3':'item 3'] that is returned via a method in the service: static Map getCargos() { [cargosMap] } A controller calls it like this: def mform = { Map cargos = empService.getCargos() [cargos:cargos] } In the gsp, I have the select: <g:select name="cg1" from="${cargos}" /> But I'm getting the exception: Error 500: Executing action ....caused exception: org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.typehandling.GroovyCastException: Cannot cast object ... with class 'java.util.ArrayList' to class 'java.util.Map' Any clues ? The problem I am experiencing that my code doesn't insert data correctly which means that output does not appear to be in order at all. • Sort ranges in an array in google apps script

  I have a timesheet spreadsheet for our company and I need to sort the employees by each timesheet block (15 rows by 20 columns). I have the following code which I had help with, but the array quits sorting once it comes to a block without an employee name (I would like these to be shuffled to the bottom). Another complication I am having is there are numerous formulas in these cells and when I run it as is, it removes them. I would like to keep these intact if at all possible.   I'm trying to create a structure array which links input strings to classes as follows: struct {string command; CommandPath cPath;} cPathLookup[] = { {"set an alarm", AlarmCommandPath}, {"send an email", EmailCommandPath}, {"", NULL} }; which will be used as follows: CommandPath *cPath = NULL; string input; getline(cin, input); for(int i = 0; cPathLookup[i] != ""; i++) { if(cPathLookup[i].command == input) cPath = new cPathLookup[i].cPath; } Obviously, this code is meaningless, but I think my intention is apparent - depending on input, I'd like cPath to be initialized as either a new AlarmCommandPath or a new EmailCommandPath. I could handle it with a function returning an instance depending on input, but a whole sequence of ifs just seems inelegant. I should also note that, in case it's not apparent and important, that AlarmCommandPath and EmailCommandPath are derived from CommandPath, and CommandPath is an abstract class. Thanks for any help you can offer. EDIT: I just noticed that, in spite of CommandPath being abstract, I have a declaration: CommandPath *cPath = NULL; in working code. Why does that compile?

I searched online and knew that in WebGL, you can't pass an array into the fragment shader, so the only way is use the texture. Here is the problem I can't figure out.   I'm writing a report generator that will present data each being generated from 4 parameters. Time interval Group Measurement value(one of several to choose from) Device All these are orthogonal giving me a 4-D dataset to present. There are some simplifications where one parameter is the same for all and other parameters are merged. Still it appears as there are situations where all values are wanted on the report. In short the report should both be simple to overview and contain details. There will also be an interface where the user setup the range and granularity for each parameter. The most naive solution would be to have a 2D table where each cell contain another table with values of the remaining two dimensions. This is technically feasible but I'm worried that it would become hard to overview. Another approach is to present first two dimensions in a 2D table and the remaining parameters in groups Are there any good method to address this kind of issue?

Edit: for those suggesting I just assign the strings "hey" and "now" to variables, that's not what I want. Imagine the following: irb(main):004:0> val1, val2 = get_two_values() => ["hey", "now"] irb(main):005:0> val1 => "hey" irb(main):006:0> val2 => "now" Now the fact that the method get_two_values returned strings "hey" and "now" is arbitrary. In fact it could return any two values, they don't even have to be strings.
