  Hi, I have a problem with a databinding in WPF. When I try to use a value converter and set the NotifyOnTargetUpdated=True property to True, I get an XamlParseException with the following message: 'System.Windows.Data.BindingExpression' value cannot be assigned to property 'Contenu' of object 'View.UserControls.ShadowedText'. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: textToFormat Error at object 'System.Windows.Data.Binding' in markup file 'View.UserControls;component/saletotal.xaml' Line 363 Position 95. The binding is pretty standard: <my:ShadowedText Contenu="{Binding Path=Total, Converter={StaticResource CurrencyToStringConverter}, NotifyOnTargetUpdated=True}" TargetUpdated="MontantTotal_TargetUpdated"> </my:ShadowedText> (Styling properties removed for conciseness) The converter exists in the resources and works correctly when NotifyOnTargetUpdated=True is removed. Similarly, the TargetUpdated event is called and implemented correctly, and works when the converter is removed. Note: This binding is defined in a ControlTemplate, though I don't think that is relevant to the problem. Can anybody explain me what is happening ? Am I defining the binding wrong ?   I wanted to use pointPolygonTest but I have a problem. I'm stuck to OpenCV2.2. I tried to use the code found here: http://docs.opencv.org/doc/tutorials/imgproc/shapedescriptors/point_polygon_test/point_polygon_test.html#point-polygon-test I use findContours to detect contours in an image. Under OpenCV 2.2 returns a vector< vector<Point> >. The problem is that pointPolygonTest accept a matrix as an entry. Therefore the code doesn't compile with OpenCV 2.2: erreur: invalid initialization of reference of type ‘const cv::Mat&’ from expression of type ‘std::vector<cv::Point_<int>, std::allocator<cv::Point_<int> > >’ Under more recent OpenCV versions, the findContours function returns vector<Mat> so it's easy to pass to pointPolygonTest (see the example). I guess I could convert the vector< vector<Point> > to vector<Mat>. Unfortunately the documentation is not very clear about the format. Does anybody have an advice?

Where does wordpress handle the special processing for the author archive pages? .htaccess rewriting is another option, but I wasn't able to get anything to work with the existing wordpress rewrite rules. I have placed this inside an block in my AndroidManifest.xml like so: <activity android:name=".ShareLink"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.SEND" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT" /> <data android:mimeType="text/plain" /> </intent-filter> <meta-data/> </activity> I cannot for the life of me get this to be triggered though. When I share a link in the android browser, the emulator log shows it's creating a chooser intent, but doesn't give the details of the intent the chooser is acting on. No chooser window pops up, and the intent gets handled by the SMS application. I have also tried kicking off the intent manually: adb shell am start -D -a android.intent.action.SEND -c android.intent.category.DEFAULT -t text/plain -d http://google.com/ but the response I get is: Starting: Intent { act=android.intent.action.SEND cat=[android.intent.category.DEFAULT] dat=http://google.com/ typ=text/plain } Error: Activity not started, unable to resolve Intent { act=android.intent.action.SEND cat=[android.intent.category.DEFAULT] dat=http://google.com/ typ=text/plain flg=0x10000000 } Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? My main (launcher) activity works fine, so I assume there is no issue with installation on the emulator.

  Hi, I'm trying to 'AJAX-ify' my site in order to improve the UI experience. In terms of performance, I'm also trying to get rid of the UpdatePanel. I've come across a great article over at Encosia showing a way of posting using PageMethods. My question is, how secure are page methods in a production environment? Being public, can anyone create a JSON script to POST directly to the server, or are there cross-domain checks taking place? My PageMethods would also write the data into the database (after filtering). I'm using Forms Authentication in my pages and, on page load, it redirects unauthenticated users to the login page. Would the Page Methods on this page also need to check authentication if the user POSTs directly to the method, or is that authentication inherited for the entire page? (Essentially, does the entire page cycle occur even if a user has managed to post only to the PageMethod)? Thanks

• How can I make the modal popup scroll its contents with the page?

  I've got a modal popup and when it loads contents that are taller than the browser height I am unable to scroll down to view the rest of the information. Instead the background can scroll but the popup won't. Instead I'd like to have the popup stay put and when the user scrolls up or down it leave the popup in place and let them scroll to the bottom of the contents. If you make a super long post on Facebook the popup works correctly and I'd like to know how I can get this same effect with this control.

• How can I process an image in .NET for a full-page print with a quality like Windows Photo Gallery d

  I'm writing a printing routing in C#, using the .NET PrintDocument class, handling the OnPrintPage event. I've managed to maximize the margins and print the Image in landscape mode, but it simply does not look as good as when I print the same image file from Windows Photo Gallery (formerly Windows Picture and Fax Viewer), the default image preview program in Windows Vista. I noticed an option there for selecting "Sharpen Image for Printing", but what does that do? I've thought about printing copies of the image from Windows Photo Gallery first, then sending the sheets through the printer a second time to print the custom overlays I need, but it's hard to make it line up every time, since the printer sucks the sheet in without the kind of precision I need... so I really need to do ALL the drawing commands within C#, including the image. Does anyone know how to perform pre-processing on the bitmap so that it prints as nicely as Windows Photo Gallery does it? Are there any simple print drivers that can intercept Photo Gallery printing output as a standard image file (bmp, png, etc.) that can be read by the .NET Image class? I'm all for creativity here.

• Firefox Extension needs to get cookie from PHP redirected external page.

  I am writing a firefox extension that interacts with a JSON server interface. I receive a url to the server which then redirects to the client site that provides the cookie. I need to be able to set this cookie in the users browser without physically loading it in the browser. Is this possible through an AJAX call? I tried using a hidden iframe, however firefox does not seem to like a php redirect in the iframe. My current solution is to load the site in a second tab that never gains focus and then auto close it when the cookie is set. This is very messy and would prefer something more streamlines. Any thoughts?
