  I used Linq to insert objects into database.But if i used threads to simultanously create 20 object within 1 second, then system will fail to add 20 objects into database. And I found it is not because of the sql server 's limit. so the only possible is Linq, any one have idea ? How can I create 20 records or more in 1 second within 1 second ?

Aside from solutions like iframes, is it possible to embed a Java portlet within an ASP.NET page? • Mysql - Rank field for a query

  How can I add a field that contains a rows rank within the result set of a query? Initially I used php to rank my results as it was all on a single page. Now I have added multiple pages so now even though I am on the second page the first result on the page is still '1st'. Obviously I could multiply the page number by the number of results per page and add the result number but I imagine there is a better way within the query. Thanks,

  I've got a utility that outputs a list of files required by a game. How can I run that utility within a C program and grab its output so I can act on it within the same program? UPDATE: Good call on the lack of information. The utility spits out a series of strings, and this is supposed to be complete portable across Mac/Windows/Linux. Please note, I'm looking for a programmatic way to execute the utility and retain its output (which goes to stdout).

  I would like to create a function in C# that takes a specific webpage and coverts it to a JPG image from within ASP.NET. I don't want to do this via a third party or thumbnail service as I need the full image. Assume I call a function, e.g., def foo(): x = 'hello world' How do I get the function to return x in such a way that I can use it as the input for another function or use the variable within the body of a program?   Hi, I have multiple sub-domains within the document_root. And multiple folders/classes within those sub-domain folders. I need something that will help me with my include_once paths, but $_SESSION[DOCUMENT_ROOT] goes too far down. And if I were to use this, and transfer the website folder later, all my include_once paths will/might break. Hope my question is clear... Any recommendations?

• A C# class with a null namespace

  While going through some legacy code today I discovered that you can declare a C# class without placing it in a namespace (in this scenario I have an ASP.NET WebForms application and some of the web forms are not declared within any namespace). A GetType() on such a class returns a type where the namespace property is set to null. I did not know that this was allowed - can anyone suggest why it would be desirable to have a class that is not declared within a namespace?

  The term has several definition according to Wikipedia, however what I'm really interested in is creating a program that has all its needed dependencies included within the source folder, so the end user doesn't need to install additional libraries for the app to install. • UpdateLayout throwing an ambigious exception

  the stack trace displays my method's name then "external code" then app_unhandledexception method, I'm developing within VS2008 SP1 for silverlight on firefox and windows 7(if that makes a difference). the weird thing is, the updatelayout method is called elsewhere and it generates no exception there, that said, if I put the method within a try-catch clause, it doesn't catch the exception, so if anyone has an idea, I'd appreciate it.

  Hey all, I'm practicing Jquery and I've written this simple Jquery statement: var someText = $("table tr td").text(); Should this not return all text of td elements found within tr's that are found within tables? How do I fix this? Currently when I run this, it says that table tr td is null, but I have a table on the page I'm testing on. Thanks!

• Sockets: I/O Error 32

  Could someone please explain what an I/O Error 32 refers to in the context of a network socket? I have a multithreaded Socks5 server written using Poco SocketReactors and am getting this error when the server load reaches a certain point. The exception is thrown within my onReadable handlers at the same time across all threads which have connections associated with them. The only other thing I am doing within those threads is std::cout but I am not sure if this is a potential cause.

• Background is flashing upon load momentarily

  I have a div (.header) contained within other divs. When my page loads, momentarily just that one .header div "flashes" white as the page is loading, especially in in Firefox, but a little bit in IE8 too. I can't find what kind of CSS or lack thereof is causing this - there's no images or background color associated with that div. There is a logo.png within the .header.
