• Using Python and Mechanize with ASP Forms

  I'm trying to submit a form on an .asp page but Mechanize does not recognize the name of the control. The form code is: <form id="form1" name="frmSearchQuick" method="post"> .... <input type="button" name="btSearchTop" value="SEARCH" class="buttonctl" onClick="uf_Browse('dledir_search_quick.asp');" > My code is as follows: br = mechanize.Browser() br.open(BASE_URL) br.select_form(name='frmSearchQuick') resp = br.click(name='btSearchTop') I've also tried the last line as: resp = br.submit(name='btSearchTop') The error I get is: raise ControlNotFoundError("no control matching "+description) ControlNotFoundError: no control matching name 'btSearchTop', kind 'clickable' If I print br I get this: IgnoreControl(btSearchTop=) But I don't see that anywhere in the HTML. Any advice on how to submit this form?

  I'm looking for a way to add a Subject Alternative Name in my certificate request in the IIS 6.0 certificate creation wizard. It seems I can only fill the Subject field and not the Subject Alternative Name. Trying to follow this guide (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931351) using certreq.exe doesn't help, it fails without any hint except that it prints its manual. Any suggestions appreciated, I hope I won't have to export my public key and generate the csr with openssl :/

• Difference between normal and magic setters and getters

  I am using a magic getter/setter class for my session variables, but I don't see any difference between normal setters and getters. The code: class session { public function __set($name, $value) { $_SESSION[$name] = $value; } public function __unset($name) { unset($_SESSION[$name]); } public function __get($name) { if(isset($_SESSION[$name])) { return $_SESSION[$name]; } } } Now the first thing I noticed is that I have to call $session->_unset('var_name') to remove the variable, nothing 'magical' about that. Secondly when I try to use $session->some_var this does not work. I can only get the session variable using $_SESSION['some_var']. I have looked at the PHP manual but the functions look the same as mine. Am I doing something wrong, or is there not really anything magic about these functions.

Why does doing it the template_query itself changes? I'm new to python and I'm getting pretty confused.

  Dear Experts I am trying to scrape a lot of data from the European Parliament website for a research project. Ther first step is the create a list if all parliamentarians, however due to the many Eastern European names and the accents they use i get a lot of missing entries. Here is an example of what is giving me troubles (notice the accents at the end of the family name): ANDRIKIENE, Laima Liucija Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) So far I have been using PyParser and the following code: parser_names name = Word(alphanums + alphas8bit) begin, end = map(Suppress, "<") names = begin + ZeroOrMore(name) + "," + ZeroOrMore(name) + end for name in names.searchString(page): print(name) However this does not catch the name from the html above. I know that it Delegates all other attributes from Person class. but I do not understand the way it works. for example why from Person class? as I do not explicitly tell it to. person(module is different than Person(class) Any help is highly appreciated :)

  When using GenericGenerator to generate unique identifiers, do Hibernate session methods update() and saveOrUpdate() always insert instead of update table rows, even when the given object has an existing identifier (where the identifier is also the table primary key)? The final step is actually installing Wordpress, which usually involves pointing your browser to install.php and filling out a form in the GUI.   Base Knowledge : I have a .crt file ( certification authoritie file ) and he is composed of many fields but in one line that resumes this question i have this : Certificate: ...(alot of stuff before)... Subject: C=US, ST=Maryland, L=Pasadena, O=Brent Baccala, OU=FreeSoft, CN=www.freesoft.org/[email protected] Subject Public Key Info: ...(alot of stuff after) and i need to parse the file to populate a .csv file and i have that done the problem that i need help is, i need to get the field: CN=www.fresoft.org but when i get this kind of CN=...(Value instead of the ...) with alot of slashes i get a error in the parsing like the raw string is: CN=foo/bar/the/hell/emailAddress=blablabla and i need only: foo/bar/the/hell and for a moment i got that in the correct column but when i dont have the emailAddress something just fail in my parsing and i then get in my CN .csv column the information wrong instead of |CN| foo/bar/the/hell i get: |CN| OU=FreeSoft, foo/bar/the/hell.
