• Any good GUI tool to easily create stored procs SQL server 2008 ?

  The templates for stored-procs in SSMS do not auto-populate all input columns, again there is manual work involved. I am looking for something like right-click on table and say CREATE stored-proc, and then it allows to pick a template, based on which it can populate the parameters etc. and give check-box in GUI (like table designer, you can easily add/remove a column). Some support for change management with table undergoing alter or otherwise would also be helpful. Currently we manually write all stored-procs, which i think we should be able to save time and labor with automation. Any suggestion on other free 3rd party tools ?

• TabBar implementation issue in iphone

  Hi, My project is navigation based template and it was running fine until I made changes in some child view. I need to add 4 Tab in some child view. • Open Source CMS with linked sub-sections and users

  I work at a small college that wants to make "sites" for all of the academic departments (~30). I managed to talk them out of their original idea: 30 individual Wordpress installations. What a maintenance nightmare! What I'm looking for is a CMS (preferably Python or PHP, as those are my areas of expertise) that can automagically create a subsection (or subsite, whatever the appropriate vernacular) complete with user and a couple of headings based on a template. So, I could just click a button and have a new subsection for a new department complete with its own authorized user, and default subsection headings/menu/pages. Is this just wishful thinking? I don't mind getting my hands dirty (this would be the whole of my job duties), so what platform would be a good starting point for something like this? Open source is a must for me as I have literally no budget, and I'm probably going to have to dig pretty deep into the application.

  I am using Java, Spring (NamedParameterJdbcTemplate) and MySQL.   I've been assigned a project for a website where users will be allowed to upload video's (using a YouTube API) but more importantly (for me) they will also be allowed to submit video embed codes (from numerous video sites, YouTube, Vimeo, etc. etc.). Having no experience with allowing users to embed video: How can I best protect against cross site scripting and/or cross site request forgery attacks specifically for video embedding? What are some of the common pitfalls to watch for? At a minumum I would think to strip all tags except <object> and <embed>. But I have a feeling this will not be enough, will it? If it is of importance, the environment will be: PHP/Zend Framework MySQL Bonuspoints: Is there a common minimum golden rule/code template for video embed codes that are valid across all video sites that I could use to filter the input?

• Displaying current time above the thumb of a slider in Silverlight

  I've made a time slider in Silverlight. To style it, I've made a control template and modified the style. I've added a text field above the thumb (always centered above the thumb), which should display the time. However, I can't find any way to access the slider information (e.g. current value) or find another way to pass any information to the style, which I can then data bind to the text field. So my question in short: how can I display time information above the thumb?

• Using GWT to output XML, JSON and regular HTML

  Sorry, this is a very basic question, as we are just getting started with exploring GWT. We would like to know if it's easy and possible to get GWT to "output" XML, JSON and regular HTML. I would like to know this because ideally we would port parts of our backends over slowly, and it would be nice to drop in GWT in place of AJAX wherever we need it during the transition period. Places that we would like to be able to use: 1) We have a pure XML page that we return to our client (mobile) app and right now this is handled through Spring MVC with a nice template. What's the best replacement for this? 2) We have a regular AJAX page that makes async requests and expects replies in JSON. Can we easily replace this backend? 3) We have some regular webpages where we use templates to output them, and we would like to first switch them over in the simplest possible way, without converting them to the regular GWT UI framework. The problem is that I have routed blog/posts to posts. I am on blog/posts now and all the links in the Pager is showing me posts/index?page=2, page/index?page=3. I want to have the pager showing links to blog/posts/index?page=2, blog/posts/index?page=3 This my current routing for this: 'urlFormat'=>'path', 'rules'=>array( 'blog/posts' => 'posts', How should I do this? The fact is that I don't know which are the best tools to produce something serious (I'm talking about web-develop through PHP): Are template engine like Smarty mandatory? Which one is "the best" (the most used, complete, documentated) At the moment I'm developing on Notepad++ (mostly because I find it useful and complete) is there a better development tool? Or is just a matter of personal taste? At the moment I'm studying JQuery and deepening my knowledge as regards CSS what other "mandatory" subjects can you suggest me? If I replace every occurrence of boost::tuple by std::tuple, it compiles fine. Is there a problem in boost tuple implementation ? Or is this a gcc bug ? I must stick with Boost.Tuple for now. • Longer Form Fields in Drupal

  I have a really silly problem that has cost me a load of time already. I have created a content template with a URL in there. When I look at the HTML code for it, I see a big fat "maxlength=256" in the form tag. I'd like to expand the length of this field, because my customer wishes to enter really long links (over 500 characters). Any idea how I can change it? When I do a generic search through the code I see so many occurences of 256, but the length might just as well be in the database somewhere. I have of course made the database field a longer varchar (1024 sounded poetic to me), so that's something I don't have to worry about. I think it's silly, but the customer's always right, as we know. I am using Drupal 6.14.

The helpers are not getting loaded too because I just copied the contents of the partial from the plugin instead of the render :partial = and then it came up with a helper error. Question is how to be able to :render :partial = from the views folder in my plugin

• qmake -project command gives QFileInfo warning in Qt 4.6

  I've upgraded to Qt 4.6 on my Mac (OS 10.5). When I go to a project directory and run: qmake -project Qt returns this warning (although it doesn't say it's a warning, I assume it is since the .pro file gets created anyway): QFileInfo::absolutePath: Constructed with empty filename I did a completely new install thinking that the "upgrade" wasn't clean for whatever reason, it still does it. Any ideas as to why? • Automatically number items in a wpf listbox

  I have a person class with two properties, Name an Age. I know how to use databinding to display a collection of person in a wpf list box and how to modify the listitemtemplate to customize how each person is displayed. Now I'd like to number each person on the list according to the order they appear on the list (which could change as the the items were sorted via name or age in the display). • Instantiate ItemsPanelTemplate

  I'm trying to create a ItemsControl that has a separator between items, for example a control to create a navigation bread crumb. I want the control to be completely generic. My original method was to create extend ItemsControl, add a SeparatorTemplate property, and then have the class add separators to the ItemsHost of the ItemsControl. The problem with this approach is that if you add extra items to the container panel, the ItemGenerator gets confused and the items are out of order and don't get removed correctly. So my second plan was to create a completely new control that would emulate an ItemsControl, but the problem I'm running into is that I can't find a way to instantiate an ItemsPanelTemplate. I would like to provide an ItemsPanel property just like ItemsControl, but I can't then create a panel from that template. Can anyone think of a way to either instantiate an ItemsPanelTemplate or way to add controls to an ItemsControl's panel without breaking the ItemGenerator?

Using an inline element in a UiBinder template. Modern GWT applications typically use a combination of CssResource and UiBinder. So my question is, when should I use a css file and create a CssResource for it, and when should I define styles directly in the ui.xml file using <ui:style>? Are there any performance implication (i.e. resource size to download on the client) with either of these ways?

  I have a parent class which is templated, and a child class which implements it. template< typename T1, typename T2> class ParentClass{ . . . }; class ChildClass : public ParentClass<MyT1, MyT2> { . . . }; And I want to have a pointer which I can use polymorphically: ParentClass<T1, T2>* ptr; ptr = static_cast<ParentClass<MyT1, MyT2>* >(new ChildClass() ); No matter how I cast it, I always get a C2664 which has the same expression: error C2664: cannot convert parameter 1 from 'ParentClass< T1,T2 *' to 'ParentClass< T1,T2 *' Is it not possible to cast pointer types between inherited types if the parent is templated, even if the types specified in the templates are the same?

• I can't seem to connecting any of my IBOutlets between IB and XCode.

  I created a new iPhone project using the built-in "tab bar" template. I put a few sliders, labels, textfields in the view. I added in needed code for: "IBOutlet, @property, @synthesize, and release" for the above UI objects. It saves and compiles without any errors or warnings. I try to hook-up my connections with control-drag, but don't see any of my IBOutlets appearing in the list. I can't seem to "connect" any outlets from IB to my code. (My IBActions all connect fine) What did I do wrong?

• How to create a "sidebar" in Umbraco CMS?

  In Umbraco, every page has a content field that you can edit in the admin-area. What I want would be a second content field that I (actually my customer who will be editing the content by himself) can edit on every page. I would then create a masterpage/template that contains the two content areas (the first one as the main content and the second one as the sidebar). At least this is how I would do it. Is this possible or is there even a better approach for having a main content and a separate sidebar on every page?

  I'd like to call an action with a link_to button without being redirected to another page(I don't want ajax). For you to have an idea, I'm trying to accomplish a sort "link button" in a search page. So, when the link is clicked, the page should be refreshed showing the list ordered as I tell it in the action. I am to work with one application that is having operations like PDF loading,annotation, scrolling,zooming and other such functions. Now my question is that i am little bit confused about what template i should use as i went through Quartz 2D Programming Guide and was little bit confused whether i'll be able to apply the above shown functions with the same guideline,as it displays the pdf page on the whole screen.
