• How to display video on html page in firefox

  I did looked at this question, but the asker didn't got any reply. Still, I'm giving it a try. I want to embed a video file on a html page. The code works fine on IE but doesn't work on firefox. I presume all other file types will be corrupt - have not even tried them Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Thanks - UPDATE: changed line of code as suggested - still same issue.

  Is there a way in HTML and/or CSS to do the following, but then correctly: √¯¯¯¯¯¯φ·(2π−γ) Such that there is an overbar above the expression, which neatly aligns with the &radic;? I know there is the Unicode &macr;, that looks like the overbar I need (as used in the above example, though as you can see – it doesn't align well with the root symbol). The solution I'm looking for works at least for one standard font, on most sizes, and all modern browsers. I can't use images; I'd like to have a pure HTML4/CSS way, without client scripting.   I have a login page which will log a user into my webapp based on their facebook login details. I then create a session to remember who they are. What I want to know is, should I be creating and/or checking the facebook credential on every single page of my webapp, or should I simply use the session I create at the beginning to login? For example, once they have logged in, I would like to allow them to post a message onto their own facebook wall from my app. Should I check the login credentials before they can post by recreating the facebook object, or should I simply use the stored login details already in my session and use that to post to their facebook wall?

  I have a list of phone extensions that I want to print a friendly version of it. I have a print css for it to print appropriately onto paper, the extensions are located within an unordered list, which are floated to the left. <ul> <li>Larry Hughes <span class="ext">8291</span></li> <li>Chuck Davis <span class="ext">3141</span></li> <li>Kevin Skillis <span class="ext">5115</span></li> </ul> I float it left, and when it prints the second page, it leaves off the name part of the list (in Firefox, works fine in Google Chrome and IE), see here: http://cl.ly/de965aea63f66c13ba32 I am referring to this: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/goingtoprint/ - they mentioned something about applying a float:none; to the content part of the page.   Hey, The question is pretty simple, but i'm not the big AJAX/JS coder, so I have no clue if it's possible. Is there any way that I can check whether or not an alert() was executed on a remote site? Like if I inputted an alert("Welcome to this site"); through a get variable, is there any way to check if it that alert() was actually executed in the browser? And not necessarily through AJAX/JS.

• [php] Firefox refreshes page 1, even after redirection to page 2

  Hi! This is a quite weird and annoying problem, which is reproduced with the script below. Say we have two pages: script.php and script.php?second. Page 1 creates some database entries and redirects to page 2. On page 2, the user is presented with an editor for said entries. If page 1 for some reason crashes on the first try, and prints some error message, a strange thing will happend. If we refresh page 1 (and this time it redirects fine), every consecutive refresh (of page 2) will actually refresh page 1 and again redirect to page 2.   First of all, I would like to say that I have used the search box looking for a similar question unsuccessfully, maybe because of my poor english skills. The way I currently do this is checking in every single page that a session has been opened. If not, the user gets redirected to a 404 page, to seem like the file which has been requested doesn't exist. I really don't know if this is sure or there's a better and more safety way and I'm currently working with kind of confidential data that should never become public. Could you give me some tips? Or leave a link where I could find some? Thank you very much, and again excuse me for kicking the dictionary.

  Hello gals/guys, I am trying to use a custom configuration file instead of the default config.js file in the ckeditor root. I have placed a renamed copy of the config.js file in my webroot and call it with customConfig. It is not working for me though. Is my syntax creating any issues?   I had a setting in my domain controller to redirect my domain that another domain. Example http://mysite.com redirected to http://othersite.com I removed the redirect about one week ago, but some users still seeing the redirect http://othersite.com rather than http://mysite.com. Clearing the browser cache fixes the problem. Is there are way I can force users to update their cache when they go to my site?

  I have some update panels on my page that do some asyncpostbacks to keep some dropdownlists correctly populated. My problem is that on my page i have an HTML input that is handling some file uploads. With the AJAX on the page with asyncpostbacks, and while i step through my code behind, the files arent being uploaded. Using a postbacktrigger (non-async) is not possible because of my layout.   How can I get an iframe such that when it loads up, it loads up with the page inside scrolled down by a fixed amount (say 100px)? I have so far: <iframe src="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7459669.stm" scrolling="no" width=500px height=500px></iframe> but it loads up with the bbc.co.uk page inside at the top left when I actually want it to load up scrolled part way down (that is the page inside the iframe scrolled down, not the page containing the iframe). • How to get Amazon s3 PHP SDK working?

  I'm trying to set up s3 for the first time and trying to run the sample file that comes with the PHP sdk that creates a bucket and attempts to upload some demo files to it. But this is the error I am getting: The difference between the request time and the current time is too large. I read on another question on SO that this is because Amazon determines a valid request by comparing the times between the server and the client, that the 2 must be within a 15 min span of one another. Now here is the problem. My laptop's time is 12:30AM June 8, 2012 at the moment. On my server I created a file called servertime.php and placed this code in that file: <?php print strftime('%c'); ?> and the output is: Fri Jun 8 00:31:22 2012 It looks like the day is correct but I don't know what to make of 00:31:22. In any case, how is it possible to always make sure the time between the client and server is within a 15 minute window of one another. What if I have a user in China who wishes to upload a file on my site which uses s3 for the cdn. Then the time difference would be over a day. How can I make sure all my user's times are within 15 minutes of my server time? What if the user is in the U.S. but the time on their machine is misconfigured. Basically how to get s3 bucket creation and upload to work?
