  • How can i enable my bluetooth and set-up its adapter config in my Ideapad S100

    I installed Ubuntu 12.04 in my Ideapad S100 it look seem perfect after I installed it, but when i tried to connect my phone via bluetooth, i cannot enable the slide button in the Bluetooth setting and it keeps returning back to "OFF" and the visible button is also in Disable mode. I already tried other solution like installing Blueman, re-write code such as rfkill bluetooth and this echo disable /proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth. It still doesn't work at all, and regarding to my Wi-Fi i don't have any issue on it.

  • Essbase Analytics Link (EAL) - Performance of some operation of EAL could be improved by tuning of EAL Data Synchronization Server (DSS) parameters

    Generally, performance of some operation of EAL (Essbase Analytics Link) could be improved by tuning of EAL Data Synchronization Server (DSS) parameters. a. Expected that DSS machine will be 64-bit machine with 4-8 cores and 5-8 GB of RAM dedicated to DSS. b. To change DSS configuration - open EAL Configuration Tool on DSS machine.     ->Next:     and define: "Job Units" as <Number of Cores dedicated to DSS> * 1.5 "Max Memory Size" (if this is 64-bit machine) - ~1G for each Job Unit. If DSS machine is 32-bit - max memory size is 2600 MB. "Data Store Size" - depends on number of bridges and volume of HFM applications, but in most cases 50000 MB is enough. This volume should be available in defined "Data Store Dir" driver.   Continue with configuration and finish it. After that, DSS should be restarted to take new definitions.

  • Dump nginx config from running process?

    Apparently, I shouldn't have spent sleepless night trying to debug an application. I wanted to restart my nginx and discovered that its config file is empty. I don't remember truncating it, but fat fingers and reduced attention probably played their part. I don't have backup of that config file. I know I should have made it. Good for me, current nginx daemon is still running. Is there a way to dump its configuration to a config file that it'll understand later?

    To all Users of the older release OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1: Patching support for 10.1.3.4.1 ends in September (1 year after 10.1.3.4.2 patchset release).After September, there will be no more one-off patches available for 10.1.3.4.1 or lower versions.Customers may apply 10.1.3.4.2 patchset so they can continue receiving one-off patches if situations arise. Note: 10.1.3.4.2 is a QA-tested patchset (collection of all bug fixes from 10.1.3.4.1 merged together) and is not an upgrade.

  • Config deployment on multiple servers.

    I have multiple servers in WEB cluster (identical configuration for all of them, despite the IP) How do you deploy changes in configs on multile servers? I make the new config, then create config per every server (placing correct IP), and next: upload them on every server, replacing old ones (rsync over ssh) set on every server a job which reloads webserver at the same time (servers use ntp). - this done by issuing commands by script (to save time for logging in) before adding a job for server reload - there's checksum test of the config on the server) - an a notification in case of fail How do you see such method? What should be the "professional way :) ? (I don't say my way doesn't work... it works and saves my time not used for logging on every webserver.) Regards,

Please be aware that the Premier Support product lifecycle for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher 10.1.3.4.x is ending in July 2013 as of the  lifetime Support policy. Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher 10.1.3.4.x will be in Sustaining Support phase.   • Binfmt config not persisting after booting

    I have the binfmt kernel module set up so I can run .NET apps as if they were native binaries. I have the /etc/rc.local file configured identically to this. If I power down my computer or boot into Windows, when I come back to Ubuntu, I can't run .NET apps without calling Mono. However, if I simply touch /etc/rc.local and restart, the binfmt configuration appears to kick in and I can run my .NET EXE's as I expect to. How do I get my configuration to stick?

  • OBIEE Capacity Planning

    I can not even recall how many times I was asked by a customer what size the machine should be bought to run our Software. Unfortunately Tech Support is not even the right address to answer that question, as a purchase decision is closely tied to the answer. Hence, Tech Support has been limited to the answer: "The biggest machine you can afford" . Many Customers were unhappy with that and have tried to get us to be more precise and that causes a lot of explanation and lengthy discussion. In the end no one is wiser or happier.  Therefore I am happy to report that at least for OBIEE the decision has just been made a whole lot easier.   • _CopyWebApplication with web.config transformations

    I am trying to have my web application automatically Publish when a Release build is performed. I'm doing this using the _CopyWebApplication target. I added the following to my .csproj file: <!-- Automatically Publish in Release build. --> <Import Project="$(MSBuildExtensionsPath)\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v10.0\WebApplications\Microsoft.WebApplication.targets" /> <Target Name="AfterBuild"> <RemoveDir Directories="$(ProjectDir)..\Output\MyWeb" ContinueOnError="true" /> <MSBuild Projects="MyWeb.csproj" Properties="Configuration=Release;WebProjectOutputDir=$(ProjectDir)..\Output\MyWeb;OutDir=$(ProjectDir)bin\" Targets="ResolveReferences;_CopyWebApplication" /> </Target> This works but with one issue. The difference between this output, and the output generated when using the Publish menu item in Visual Studio, is that the Web.Release.config transformation is not applied to the Web.config file when using the MSBuild method. Instead, Web.config, Web.Release.config, and Web.Debug.config are all copied. Any ideas are appreciated.

  • How to create a custom yaml config file in Symfony

    What I want to do is quite simple: store data in a custom config file that I want to read later on. I created my file something.yml that I put in the global config directory. It looks like that: prod: test: ok dev: test: ko all: foo: bar john: doe Then I copied the config_handlers.yml and also put it in the config directory and added the following at the top of the file: config/something.yml: class: sfDefineEnvironmentConfigHandler param: prefix: something_ But if I'm calling sfConfig::get("something_foo"); I keep getting NULL. What did I do wrong? I just want to read values, so no need to create a custome config handler, right? I've read the doc here: http://www.symfony-project.org/book/1_2/19-Mastering-Symfony-s-Configuration-Files even though I'm running 1.4 (I don't think that changed since then). Edit: Of course I can use sfYaml::load() but I'd like to do things in a better way.

  • Is there a config option in PHP to prevent undefined constants from being interpreted as strings?

    This is from the php manual: http://us.php.net/manual/en/language.constants.syntax.php If you use an undefined constant, PHP assumes that you mean the name of the constant itself, just as if you called it as a string (CONSTANT vs "CONSTANT"). An error of level E_NOTICE will be issued when this happens. I really don't like this behavior. If I have failed to define a required constant, I would rather the script fail so that I am forced define it. Is there any way to force PHP to crash the script if it tries to use an undefined constant? For example. Both of these scripts do the same thing. <?php define('DEBUG',1); if (DEBUG) echo('Yo!'); ?> and <?php if(DEBUG) echo('Yo!'); ?> I would rather the second script DIE and declare that it tried to use an undefined constant DEBUG.
