  • How to refactor T-SQL stored procedure encapsulating it's parameters to a class

    On my SQL Server 2008 I have a stored procedure with a large number of parameters. The first part of them is used in every call and parameters from the second part are used rarely. And I can't move the logic to two different stored procedures. Is there a way to encapsulate all this parameters to a class or struct and pass it as a stored procedure parameter? Can I use SQL CLR. Are there other ways?

    I have this line ( it's a single line, SO makes it seem like 2 ): /Od /D "WIN32" /D "_DEBUG" /FD /EHa /MDd /Fo"Debug" /Fd"Debug\vc80.pdb" /W3 /c /Zi /clr /TP .\main.cpp" And I want to extract the .\main.cpp. I thought the following would do the trick: if($string =~ /.*\s+(.*)$/i) { print "matched ",$1,"\n"; } because this same regex works in Ruby, and extracts the string I required. How can I get it working?

    Hello, I am trying to use CLRProfiler. I need to enter some parameters, so I used the the File-set parameters option and added both parameters and the working directory. When the application starts it takes some parameters from a inifile but the clr fails to find parameters from the inifile cause it concrat it with the working directory. thanks

    Hi there, I've inherited a set of Silverlight 2 applications (new job), one of which needs upgrading. We can do the updates in code without problems, but the available dev machines all appear to be running Silverlight 3. I can't seem to find Silverlight 2 tools for download any more - is there a way to multi-target Silverlight the same way we can multi-target older versions of the main CLR? thanks Toby

  • StringBuffer wont read whole stream into a string (JAVA/Android)

    Hi all! I'm making an android program that retrieves content of a webpage using HttpURLConnection. I'm new to both Java and Android. Problem is: Reader reads whole page source, but in the last while iteration it doesn't append to stringBuffer that last part. Using debbuger I have determined that, in the last loop iteration, string buff is created, but stringBuffer just doesnt append it. I need to parse retrieved content. Is there any better way to handle the content for parsing than using strings. I've read on numerous other sites that string size in Java is limited only by available heap size. I've tried with StringBuilder too. Anyone know what could be the problem. Btw feel free to suggest any improvements to the code. Thanks!     I wonder how can I enable the nullptr in the just released Visual Studio 2010. (C++ project, not managed). This is one of the new features but it is not available by default and looking inside the documentation at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/4ex65770(VS.100).aspx it seams that it is enabled by /clr but this is managed! Is this a feature added only for .NET?

  • Does a simple delphi form app needs any libraries or dependencies to deploy?

    I need to code a simple form application and I want to make it easy to deploy (without installing libraries or dependencies), I don't want to use visual studio cpp or csharp because clr apps compile with .net frameworks and I have no much experience with mfc and dialogs. So I was wondering which libraries does a simple delphi vcl forms app (those using TForm) use, because I've never had to install anything to run simple delphi apps.

    I need a way to track all allocations in a .NET application that happen during a single step in the process of debugging my application. I mean, when I'm in the debugger, stepping through code, I would like to see for a single step what allocation took place. Is there a tool or a way to do it? I tried several memory profilers including CLR profiler, JetBrains and .NET Memory Profiler 3.5 and none of them seems to provide this kind of funcionality.

Also, we can define different access modified to Abstract class constructor like private, protected or public. It's just not the clr exception. There are memory acces vialation, reading zero pointer inside of internal code. Use case: You develop something like plugins system for your app. You read external assembly, find suitable method in some type, and execute it. And we just forgot about that we need to check up is the type generic or not. Under VS (and .net from 2.0 to 4.0) everything works fine. Called function does not uses static context of generic type and type parameters. But without VS application fails with no sound. We even cannot identify call stack attaching debuger. Tested with .net 4.0 The question is why VS catches but runtime do not?
