    I'm parsing an xml file that stores image/caption data both of which I need to display on my canvas. However occasionally there's an entity in the file and when drawing the text to the canvas it interprets it as flat text. How can i get &copy; to show up as © on the canvas? Is this even possible, or does anyone know of a good work around?

  • What is the easiest to transfer an object between two C# apps over the web?

    I have written an application that basically gathers up a bunch of text and numerical data from the client PC and stores it as an object. Right now I'm implementing XML serialization so that the file can be saved. The issue is now, how do I get this data to the server? I have a server running IIS 7 setup but I don't quite understand the ASP.net life cycle, so I'm not sure how to implement the receiving app. What should I do? Thanks

  • issue of JSTL forEach iterate from arrayList

    In my code, I have used ArrayList which stores the number format like '$0.00 to $1,000,000.00' in each index of array list. while iterate in JSP through tag, its values are printing like $0.00 to $1 as a first string, 000 as a second string and 000.00 as a thrid string. but it has to print like '$0.00 to $1,000,000.00'. what will be the problem is?   • I have a 18MB MySQL table backup. How can I restore such a large SQL file?

    I use a Wordpress plugin called 'Shopp'. It stores product images in the database rather than the filesystem as standard, I didn't think anything of this until now. I have to move server, and so I made a backup, but restoring the backup is proving a horrible task. I need to restore one table called wp_shopp_assets which is 18MB. Any advice is hugely appreciated.     I have a database table that stores user comments: comments(id, user_id, created_at) I want to get from it the number of users that have commented for the first time in the past week. Here's what I have so far: SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT `user_id`) FROM `comments` WHERE `created_at` BETWEEN DATE_SUB(NOW(), INTERVAL 7 DAY) AND NOW() This would give the number of users that have commented, but it would not take into consideration whether these comments are first for these users.

I'm trying to get my URLs to look like this: /Corporate/Users/Edit/1 /Corporate/Stores/Edit/17 /Corporate/Contacts/Edit/17 /Store/Contacts/Create /Store/Products/Edit/29 Pretty much like plain-vanilla urls, except with a user type at the front. I'm running into a lot of problems with duplicate controller names, etc. Is there a simple way to do this? I looked briefly at Areas, but this seemed way to complicated.

    I'm using the following code to get the path where Word stores its templates: WordTemplatePath:=WordApp.Options.DefaultFilePath[$00000002]; The problem is that this returns the path for the actual, logged-in user. Is there a way to get the path for another user of the same Windows instance? I need it so my installer program can install the templates used by my program for other users as well.

    Per MSDN, calling Type.GetMethods() stores reflected method information in a MemberInfo cache so the expensive operation doesn't have to be performed again. I have an application that scans assemblies/types, looking for methods that match a given specification. The problem is that memory consumption increases significantly (especially with large numbers of referenced assemblies) since .NET hangs onto the method metadata. Is there any way to clear or disable this MemberInfo cache?
