  • PHP array value becomes blank. What is going on?

    I have written a web page that works fine expect for some weird behavior. The code below gets all expected values and populates them correctly except for $v-data["quick_phone_id"] and $v-data["quick_email_id"] which are integers. Those values come out blank in the string I am creating. The value for $v-data["id"] is another integer and works as expected. My only clue is that when I uncomment the commented out line, the code works properly. So I'm guessing this has to do with referencing getting broken for the array. Any ideas?   • Remote Ajax Call in jQuery .click() function doesn't finish before going to next page.

    I need to send click information on my website to a third party server using ajax (json). I am using jquery and I added the click event to certain links. In the click event I am making a json request to a remote server with the location of the click (heat map) and some other information. The problem is that the ajax function doesn't fire in time before the default link action happens. Setting async to false doesn't seem to work on remote ajax calls. I have tried preventDefault(), but then I don't know how to run the default action after the successful ajax call.   • How do you mentally handle going from writing managed to non-managed code?

    ~80% of the code I write is in C#. The other ~20% is in C++. Whenever I have to switch from C# to C++, it takes me quite a while to mentally "shift gears" to thinking in C++. I make simple mistakes using pointers and memory allocation that I would not have made when I was in university. Is this normal? Does anyone else experience something similar and if so, what do you do to cut down on the time this wastes?

  • Ubuntu 12.10 - Dual monitors

    I'm trying to set up a dual monitor with my laptop (Dell XPS L502X) and a monitor that I recently bought (Dell U2312HM). The cable are alright, because I tried this on Windows and all is fine. In Ubuntu 12.10 doesn't work. If I go to System Settings-Displays, button Detect Displays doesn't do anything. I may also say that I use Bumblebee, and my sudo nvidia-settings command only shows a windows with only nvidia-setting Configuration option.

  • iPhone keeps going into dim/sleep mode even with the proper API calls.

    I call: [[ UIApplication sharedApplication ] setIdleTimerDisabled: YES ] on the applicationDidFinishLaunching event.. I set a breakpoint on it, which fires so I know it's getting called.. I've also called this function in other places as well.. Basically, a 3G iPhone will still go into sleep mode, but my 3GS won't. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Both are running the latest OS versions. Thanks for reading!

  • Are duplicate directives in php.ini going to cause an issue?

    I sent a request to ops today to update some php.ini directives, and found out that he merely appended them to the end of the file. My google search didn't really come up with any info on whether this is a problem or not to have duplicates in there and how they would be parsed. Obviously, it can cause confusion, but, I would have a stronger argument if I knew if this was acceptable or not. Any input? Thanks in advance...

    I have data of variable lengths (reaching movements recorded in 2D) and want to create a function that will resample this data to a uniform length (500 samples). However, I want matlab to only resample between the maximum and minimum values given, without adding any additional distance. For instance, if I resample the matrix [1:1:10], the resampled matrix should have a minimum value of 1 and a maximum value of 10. So far I've tried the following: x = [1:1:10]; interp(x, 500 / length(x)); This, however, gives values above my maximum specified value of 10. Is there any way I can get matlab to resample/interpolate solely between two points, without extending beyond them?

  • What action is my Symfony/Doctrine generated form actually going to?

    In my Symfony 1.4 project I am using the doctrine:generate-admin task to create the modules that compose my backend system. One such module is "journeys". When I view the source of the "journeys/new" page (which displays the form to create a new journey entity) the action of the form is simply "journeys" (I expected it to be "journeys/create"). The "journeys" route on its own would call the executeIndex method - however I put a log call in there and upon form submission, the log is not made. So this leads me to believe that executeIndex is NOT being called, and another piece of code is being fired upon form submission that then (depending on a hidden input in the form) calls either executeCreate() or executeUpdate(). Problem is, I don't know where that would be happening. Any insight would be much appreciated. Furthermore there could be a conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be installed at the same time. The following packages have unmet dependencies: wine: Any ideas? It won't let me install the dependencies either it says it needs another set of dependencies to install them -_- im on asus kj50 64bit os dual boot with windows 7 sudo apt-get install wine1.5 Reading package lists... However with large numbers of rows/columns, we are expecting a loss in efficiency. Is there a way to "data bind" from a DataSet object into the worksheet without using the cell-by-cell approach? Most of the methods we have seen at some point revert to the cell-by-cell approach. Thanks for any suggestions.
