The main problem is that a lot of users like me are missing some valuable information that was displayed in the statusbar on previous versions. For instance, when hovering a link the url is now displayed in the address bar and you can't see the entire address. Other information like which servers are being contacted when you load a page are no longer displayed.

    I try to configure nagios in the following way for every service (for example "mysql seconds behind master") I need to define few levels of escalations, when level is warning I want to send only email and when level is critical I want to send email and sms . What is the right way to do this? Do be stick we the levels definition (critical or warning), if there is different way to differentiate email level and sms level of escalation? Thanks!

  • How can I move windows in Windows with keyboard?

    I recently started using Linux and was floored by the ease with which windows can be moved and resized with simple keyboard combinations using Compiz. If I want to move a terminal to top-right of the screen a simple CTRL+ALT+Numpad9 does the trick for me, and it resizes the window at the same time. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. I would like to know if there is a way to do this in windows. Thanks.

  • check_postgres_checkpoint plugin error

    I am using the check_postgres.pl plugin for Nagios. I am trying to monitor how long since the last checkpoint has been run using the check_postgres_checkpoint option. When I run the command from CLI as root I am getting the output but I am not able to get the output in the Nagios web interface. The error which it shows is, ERROR: pg_controldata could not read the given data directory: "/opt/PostgreSQL/9.1/data" It is trying to access the pg_control file in the 'global' directory present beneath the data directory which has only read access to the postgres user. Can anyone please suggest me how this can be resolved ? Thanks.

Given that I suspect that there isn't, does anybody know of an explorer extension that offers something similar?   • Control iTunes from Spotlight (or similar)

    Is there some sort add on or program that lets me easily change (and choose) songs using keyboard shortcuts (or perhaps Spotlight)? The ideal program would add iTunes indexing to Spotlight and allow me to change songs by searching for them in Spotlight (but then not switch the focus to iTunes). I do believe that there was a plugin for Launchy on Windows to do a similar thing. Is such a program available?

I am working on a project, lets say on PC 1 and then once I am done with the project, I want to upload the whole thing to Github so that when I get home I can download the latest code and work on it again on PC 2. Is there a package available for this? Any thoughts or any better ways of managing your projects and still make them accessible.

For example, I can use {if}, {foreach}, or {assign} tags without any problems. But whenever I try to use {html_select_date}, {html_image}, or {html_table}, I get the errors. In case this matters, the programmer who is designing the plugin copied the openXWorkflow plugin and made some changes. I noticed that the openXWorkflow plugin has a file (openx/plugins_repo/openXWorkflow/www/admin/plugins/openXWorkflow/library/OX/UI/Smarty/SmartyCompilerWithViewHelper.php) with a class that overrides the default Smarty compiler, supposedly with the ability to compile shorthands for calling ZF view helpers. That file has a list of Smarty functions, but the list is incomplete. If I add the functions to the list, or simply delete the file, my template works fine, but I don't like to change library files. It may make the app hard to maintain, and I don't know if it will mess up something else. The file has the comment "There is no easy access to the list of Smarty's built-in functions so we need to list them here. HTML-specific functions are not included as we cover HTML generation separately.", so it seems like certain Smarty functions may be disabled on purpose for some reason. Will anything bad happen if I try to use them? If, for example, I want to use the {html_select_date} tag in my template, how would I go about doing that? Keep in mind that much of this stuff is new and unfamiliar to me. This is my first time ever using OpenX or Smarty, and I only have a little bit of experience with the Zend framework. Please let me know if we are using the wrong approach.

  • Code to plug into a Zend Framework project

    Hello everyone, Im currently working on a website in the Zend Framework and finding it very useful indeed. I want both a blog and a forum in this website and wondered if there are any open-source projects of this nature that I would be able to simply copy and paste into my modular project. I was using Wordpress and BBpress previously so something like that would be good, although I do not want to hack my Zend Auth to use the Wordpress authentication system, seems like too much hard work/hacky to do. So any ideas? Plus where are the best Zend framework 'plugins' (similar to wordpress)? Thanks everyone.

    I am using a jquery plugin from [ FilamentGroup ] called DateRangePicker. I have a simple form with two text inputs for the start and end date that I bind the DateRangePicker to using this $('input.tbDate').daterangepicker({ dateFormat: 'mm/dd/yy', earliestDate: new Date(minDate), latestDate: new Date(maxDate), datepickerOptions: { changeMonth: true, changeYear: true, minDate: new Date(minDate), maxDate: new Date(maxDate) } }); I have a collapsible table above this form that when shown, moves the form and the elements that the daterangepicker plugin is bound to, down lower on the page, but the daterangepicker appears to keep the position from when it was actually created. What code could I put in the daterangepicker's onShow Callback to update its position to be next to the element is was initially bound to? Or is there some specific jquery method or plugin that I could chain to the daterangepicker plugin so that it will update its position correctly. This would come in handy for some other plugins that I use that don't seem to keep their position relative to other elements correctly either.

I'd appreciate if I could get an expert opinion on why this is so, and a possible solution. I'd initially done it to increase my search ranking by limiting the pages being accessed by google.   • How to preselect nodes using jsTree jQuery plug-in

    I am using the jsTree jQuery plug-in with its "Checkbox" plug-in and using an async http request to lazy-load each level of the tree. All works great, except that I cannot get the tree to pre-select certain nodes after the first level. I am using the "selected" attribute to provide an array of ID's to preselect. ID's in the top level of the tree are correctly pre-selected. However, ID's in lower levels of the tree are not selected when the level loads. Am I missing something? Here is the constructor code: $(sDivID).tree( { data : { async : true, opts : {url : sURL} }, plugins:{ "checkbox" : {three_state : false} }, selected : myArrayOfIDs, ui:{ theme_name : "checkbox", dots : false, animation : 400 }, callback : { beforedata : function(NODE, TREE_OBJ) { return { id : $(NODE).attr("id") || 0, rand : Math.random().toString() } } } } )

    Hi, On this article http://www.themodestrubyist.com/2010/03/16/rails-3-plugins---part-3---rake-tasks-generators-initializers-oh-my/ we can see the following codes which allow to invoke a migration file: class ActsAsTaggableOnMigrationGenerator < Rails::Generators::Base invoke "migration", %(add_fields_to_tags name:string label:string) end The command looks like: $ rails generate acts_as_taggable_on User invoke migration invoke active_record create db/migrate/20100529220831_user.rb error "add_fields_to_tags name:string label:string" [not found] I don't understand why I get this error... and I have 2 questions about: 1/ How can I do to customize the name of the generated file? Just like: 20100529220831_add_tag_field_to_users.rb. 2/ How can I pass in some args such as: $ rails generate acts_as_taggable_on User tag1 tag2 tag2 in order to customize the generating file such as tag1:string tag2:string tag3:string...
