As you can see, for the third tab, i am loading remotely through a feature built into jquery ui tabs where you just put a link in and it retrieves it remotely. • jQuery UI Datepicker on a qTip

  I am trying to display a qTip containing a jQuery UI datepicker control (the version bundled with jQuery UI). However the datepicker's calendar opens behind the qTip. I tried manually setting the calendar's z-order from firebug, which does allow the calendar to open in front of the qTip. However, in this case clicking on the calendar has the effect of closing the qTip as (I assume) it is part of the page's content. I am still working through this but wanted to ask - has anyone run into this problem before? Any possible workarounds to get the datepicker to work?

The problem is that when I close the dialog box and then I click on the link that triggers it, it does not pop-up again unless I refresh the page. • FCKeditor in jQuery ui dialog not working

  Hi folks, I'm having serious trouble getting this to work in IE7/8. In FF, everything works as expected. When the user clicks on a certain link, a modal dialog popup is shown. In this dialog, there is a form, which contains one textarea, that is replaced with a FCK instance. The form is loaded from the server using ajax on the clientside and php on the serverside. There's one strange way to get the FCK editor shown, and that is by resizing the dialog. Library versions: jquery: 1.3.2 jquery ui: 1.7.3 FCKeditor: 2.6.1 build 19297 Any help would be strongly appreciated, I'm on a deadline here :-(

  I am using the free Kendo UI Core Framework. I am looking for a searchable Combobox that fires the sql after inserting, for example, 2 letters. Behind my Listbox there are more than 10000 items and now it takes too much time when I load or refresh the page. Is it possible to trigger the sql query only by user input like the autocomplete widget do? • jQuery UI: Drag and clone from original div, but keep clones

  I have a div, which has jQuery UI Draggable applied. What I want to do, is click and drag that, and create a clone that is kept in the dom and not removed when dropped. Think of a deck of cards, my box element is the deck, and I want to pull cards/divs off that deck and have them laying around my page, but they would be clones of the original div. • Problem inserting JavaScript into a CKEditor Instance running inside a jQuery-UI Dialog Box

  Hello Overflowers! Here's what's going on: I'm building an app (using PHP, jQuery, etc), part of which lets users edit various bits of a web page (Header, Footer, Main Content, Sidebar) using CKEditor. It's set up so that each editable bit has an "Edit Content" button in the upper right that, on click, launches an instance of CKEditor inside a jQuery-UI Dialog box. After the user is done editing, they can click an 'Update Changes' button that passes the edited content back off to the main page and closes the Dialog/CKeditor. It's all working magnificently, save for one thing. If someone inserts any JavaScript code, wrapped in 'script' tags, using either the Insert HTML Plugin for CKEditor or by going to 'Source' in CKEditor and placing the code in the source, everything seems okay until they click the 'Update Changes' button. The JavaScript appears to be inserting properly, but when 'Update Changes' is clicked, instead of the Dialog closing and passing the script back into the div where it belongs, what I get instead is an all-white screen with just the output of the JavaScript. For example, a simple 'Hello World' script results in a white screen with the string 'Hello World' in the upper left corner; for more intricate scripts, like an API call to, say Aweber, that generates a newsletter signup form, I get an all-white screen with the resulting form from the Aweber API call perfectly rendered in the middle of the screen. One of the most confusing parts is that, on these pages, if I click 'View Source', I get absolutely nothing. Blank emptiness.   Having looked into How can I make a JQuery UI Dialog automatically grow or shrink to fit its contents?, I am using the height: "auto" option when building a jQuery modal dialog box: $( "#dialog-message" ).dialog({ autoOpen: false, width: "400", height: "auto", show: "slide", modal: true, buttons: { Ok: function() { $( this ).dialog( "close" ); } } }); However, the height isn't "growing" to fit all of the contents. I'm still seeing a vertical scrollbar as in this image: Is there a way right in the definition code I listed to ensure that the height grows enough so that a vertical scrollbar doesn't show? Or, do I need to do this programmatically before opening the dialog box? Edit 1 Not sure why, but Chrome is displaying this fine but IE 8 isn't. I need it to specifically work in IE 8 so I believe I'm just going to put a bottom margin on the text.

• jquery ui is not scaling text properly!

  I'm trying use jquery ui to scale a div that I'm dragging around to make it easier to see what's behind it, but any text inside it is scaling strangely. The text itself becomes smaller, but it seems to have a bunch of padding around it and is floating now. The text extends past the bottom of the div even though it should be contained properly by the div. I put a red border around the lines of text and the borders are the same size as the original text. I'm not really sure what to do to get this to work... • Submit jQuery UI dialog on <Enter>

  I have a jQuery UI dialog box with a form. I would like to simulate a click on one of the dialog's buttons so you don't have to use the mouse or tab over to it. In other words, I want it to act like a regular GUI dialog box where simulates hitting the "OK" button. I assume this might be a simple option with the dialog, but I can't find it in the jQuery UI documentation. I could bind each form input with keyup() but didn't know if there was a simpler/cleaner way. Thanks.

  I am using jQuery 1.8.3 and jQuery UI 1.9.2. My web application has got some draggable elements and I would like to allow the user to select some text in the contained elements. I've seen there are some other questions on this topic. Another path I am following is use the right-click of the mouse and use some text-selection plug-in I have found. Still I can't make it work. It seems that draggable/sortable elements don't allow text selection or can intercept mouse (clicks) events. Any ideas? Regards.

  I am trying to use the jQuery dialog UI library in order to position a dialog next to some text when it is hovered over. The jQuery dialog takes a position parameter which is measured from the top left corner of the current viewport (in other words, [0, 0] will always put it in the upper left hand corner of your browser window, regardless of where you are currently scrolled to). However, the only way I know to retrieve the location is of the element relative to the ENTIRE page. The following is what I have currently. position.top is calculated to be something like 1200 or so, which puts the dialog well below the rest of the content on the page. $(".mytext").mouseover(function() { position = $(this).position(); $("#dialog").dialog('option', 'position', [position.top, position.left]); } How can I find the correct position?   I have big web application using JQuery UI Tabs. In central JS file I have setted all tabs. Using $("#tabs").tabs; But on one page I need to have selected another tab than first. If I use $("#tabs").{ selected: add }); (name of tab is #add) Its not running, probably because Tabs are already set up. Does anyone know how to set opened another than first tab (in default state - after loading page) if tabs are already turned on? I hope, you will understand, my English is pretty terrible.

  I am having a somewhat strange error with my jquery dialog. When I have it autoopen, the dialog box is completely empty. If I exit out of the dialog and then reopen (through the standard dialog open event) the content appears. If you exit out and click on the unlock button, the proper html is there. Any ideas?

The problem is clear: at first time it was built as a simple prototype and it was not stress tested and all was fine. Then application was grown: the number of calls to server and number of events from server are high and performance is low. What is more users noticed that sometimes performance is extremal low. Asynchronous invocations based on thread pool (BeginInvoke, EndInvoke), external events are going from WCF service (.NET 3.5). My goal is synchronization of all tasks and putting priorities to every executions in desktop application. My question is: is there any practice how to reach my goal: patterns, task priority list, others? What should I do at first, second and next times? Thanks

• Gravity Forms not loading under https, jQuery is not defined

  I am using Gravity Forms on my Wordpress site, and so far so good. The problem is I have made the page secure (https/SSL), and this is making the form not to work. It looks like the issue is how the site is trying to load jQuery. There are 23 JS errors on the page, which seem to be due to a failed jQuery load "Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined". • Confusion with Libgdx UI

  I've started with Libgdx and am currently stumbling about trying to understand how to set up the interface. I have generated the base projects in Eclipse ( < proj-name ,< proj-name -android, < proj-name -desktop, < proj-name -html), and can get the program to display a simple background, play a looping sound file, and draw a tank. I have been having some problems implementing the UI though. I want to make a collapsible interface bar at the bottom of the screen that would contain buttons for movement, and selecting weapons. I'm confused since there appears to be several ways of doing this and the documentation (or tutorials explaining it) tend to be obsolete. How would one go about this? Use a stage for the bar and actors for the widgets? I'm a little lost on this.
