On-page SEO becomes very simple once you start optimizing for human visitors. Optimization for search engines is only a small extension of common activities to make the page attractive.
Navigation menu is in the form of categories on website htttp://bankpo.in, none of the category page is being indexed by google.
I searched with exact URL for a category, still related results are shown instead of category page. I have checked google webmaster and there are no crawling error or any other error message, so i am really confused what might be the problem.
Website is not a new one and is continuously updated, so please can anyone tell me the reason for this
In a local listing website, I append number of search results found in the description(not in title currntly) meta tag of the page as I think this is valuable for users
for e.g. "Find address, phone numbers, blah blah blah for 21 outlets in locality. some more stuff after this..."
as more places are added to the database, the description for the same page will change frequently. is this good or bad for SEO
how about doing the same for title tags?
I list products on my homepage and on a company details page.
I use the exact same HTML, but for some reason the product appears different:
The productname is "Artikel 1".
Here the product is displayed correctly: http://www.zorgbeurs.nl/
Notice how the green price area is right below the product.
But here: http://www.zorgbeurs.nl/bedrijven/76/mymedical
the green price area is all the way at the bottom of the page.
Why?
It's a fact that most website owners struggle to get traffic to their sites. Unless you are very fortunate or have invested a lot of time and money in SEO then getting a front page ranking on Google for a highly searched keyword phrase is normally just a pipe dream. After all, there are only 10 front page spots to be had and competition to secure one is incredibly high - as are the rewards.
Should the URL of a page match its title? For example:
<title>About Cats</title>
Furthermore, if that title were to be changed by the page's author, should the URL change to match and the old URL be redirected (301) to the new URL?
Edit
Also, if the pages author were to decide to revert his changes after several days, would it be right to remove the redirect and set up an new redirect from the amended URL back to the old URL?
Is there a way to see when a page was first published, by checking when it was first cahced by google (obviously its not 100% fool proof because there is a couple of days delay in some cases but it will give you a good idea.)
The only other way i could think of checking it published date is if the page / post had a publicly viable time stamp on it, but in the case im looking for it, it dosnt have a publicly visible time stamp.

Although you might initially think of it as simply the way that the Google search engine ranks pages, the term Google Page Rank is actually a trademarked term that actually belongs to Stanford University. When attaching a USB flash disk (NTFS formatted) to a laptop with Ubuntu Server 12.04 on board, I get following messages:
[ 3572.355603] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] No Caching mode page present
[ 3572.355640] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through
[ 3572.361599] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] No Caching mode page present
[ 3572.361636] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through
I get them right in the terminal, so that I should press Ctrl+C to proceed with working (entering commands).
Is it normal or do I have to setup Caching mode somehow?
Thank you.
