  • MDX - Using "iif" function in the "Where" section

    - by Duc Duy Nguyen
Hi I'd like to know how to make that "iif" work. Basically, I need to filter the engineering "product codes" when originator is "John Smith". currentmember is not working or that iif is not working, SELECT { ( [Time].[Fiscal Hierarchy Time Calculations].[Month to Date], [Measures].[Sell - Bookings] ) } ON COLUMNS, [Originators].[Originator One Letter Name].Children ON ROWS FROM [Sales] WHERE ( [Time].[Fiscal Month].&[2010-02-01T00:00:00], IIF ( [Originators].[Originator One Letter Name].CurrentMember = "John Smith", Except ( [Product Codes].[Product Primary Subcategory].Children, [Product Codes].[Product Primary Subcategory].&[ENGINEERING] ), [Product Codes].[Product Primary Subcategory].Children ) ); Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Duy

  • MFMailComposeViewController broke CSS styles in html template

    - by Victor
I use MFMailComposeViewController to send a message in html format. If my html template contains the css styles: <div class="margin:10 10 10 0"> <a href="domain.name">Go To</a></div> In this case it works good. But if I send: <a href="domain.name">Go&nbsp;To</a> then I see the letter that comes with broken styles as there (3D is not my misprint) <div style=3D"margin:10 10 10 10;"><a href=3D"www.google.com">Go=C2=A0To</a></div> Well as the letter goes broken when I insert in the template symbols from national alphabets. Somebody can tell what the problem and check with yourself?

  • Iterating through nested dictionaries

    - by Framester
I want to write an iterator for my 'toy' Trie implementation. Adding already works like this: class Trie: def __init__(self): self.root = dict() pass def add(self, string, value): global nops current_dict = self.root for letter in s: nops += 1 current_dict = current_dict.setdefault(letter, {}) current_dict = current_dict.setdefault('value', value) pass The output of the adding looks like that: trie = Trie() trie.add("hello",1) trie.add("world",2) trie.add("worlds",12) print trie.root {'h': {'e': {'l': {'l': {'o': {'value': 1}}}}}, 'w': {'o': {'r': {'l': {'d': {'s': {'value': 2}, 'value': 2}}}}}} I know, that I need a __iter__ and next method. def __iter__(self): self.root.__iter__() pass def next(self): print self.root.next() But AttributeError: 'dict' object has no attribute 'next'. How should I do it? [Update] In the perfect world I would like the output to be one dict with all the words/entries with their corresponding values.

  • How to generate all variations with repetitions of a string?

    - by Svenstaro
I want to generate all variations with repetitions of a string in C++ and I'd highly prefer a non-recursive algorithm. I've come up with a recursive algorithm in the past but due to the complexity (r^n) I'd like to see an iterative approach. I'm quite surprised that I wasn't able to find a solution to this problem anywhere on the web or on StackOverflow. I've come up with a Python script that does what I want as well: import itertools variations = itertools.product('ab', repeat=4) for variations in variations: variation_string = "" for letter in variations: variation_string += letter print variation_string Output: aaaa aaab aaba aabb abaa abab abba abbb baaa baab baba babb bbaa bbab bbba bbbb Ideally I'd like a C++ program that can produce the exact output, taking the exact same parameters. This is for learning purposes, it isn't homework. I wish my homework was like that.

  • How can I retain the editing in the tableView of the search result with UISearchDisplayController?

    - by wal
I want to search a table in editing mode, but when I type a letter the variable tableView.editing is changed to NO. And when I cancel the search, the tableView.editing return to YES. I'd like to retain the editing YES in the result of the search. I put breakpoint in several methods. Until the filterContentForSearchText method, the variable is YES, but in the cellForRowAtIndexPath, it is NO. Image of the table in editing mode just before type a letter in the search bar. Image of the search Image of the table after the searching (editing mode again)

  • How do I create a controller and action without a model?

    - by Angela
I have several models: Email Letter Call All three belong to a model Campaign. And a Campaign has_many Contacts I envision being able to see a schedule for Today by going to domain/schedule/today What I'd like it to do would be to show all the Events (Email, Letter, Call) that have to happen today for each campaign. I tried the following, but have some challenges in putting it into a controller versus into a View. There are many emails in campaign. Email.days is the number of days from the contact.start_date that an email should be sent to the Contact. ScheduleController < def index campaigns.each do |campaign| #goes through each campaign for contacts in campaign.contacts Email.find(:all).reject { |email| email.contact.start_date + email.days <= Date.now } end end end

  • initial caps in actionScript using Regex

    - by Deyon
    I'm trying to do initial caps in actionScript with no loops but now i'm stuck. I wanted to select the first letter or every word then apply uppercase on that letter. Well I got the selection part right, but at a dead end right now, any ideas? I was trying to do this with out loops and cutting up strings. //replaces with x cant figure out how to replace with the found result as uppercase public function initialcaps():void { var pattern:RegExp=/\b[a-z]/g; var myString:String="yes that is my dog dancing on the stage"; var nuString:String=myString.replace(pattern,"x"); trace(nuString); }

  • Python character count

    - by user74283
I have been going over python tutorials in this resource. Everything is pretty clear in the below code which counts number of characters. Only section that i dont understand is the section where count assigned to a list and multiplied by 120. Can anyone explain what is the purpose of this in plain english please. def display(i): if i == 10: return 'LF' if i == 13: return 'CR' if i == 32: return 'SPACE' return chr(i) infile = open('alice_in_wonderland.txt', 'r') text = infile.read() infile.close() counts = 128 * [0] for letter in text: counts[ord(letter)] += 1 outfile = open('alice_counts.dat', 'w') outfile.write("%-12s%s\n" % ("Character", "Count")) outfile.write("=================\n") for i in range(len(counts)): if counts[i]: outfile.write("%-12s%d\n" % (display(i), counts[i])) outfile.close()

  • All words in a trie data-structure

    - by John Smith
I'm trying to put all words in a trie in a string, a word is detonated by the eow field being true for a certain character in the trie data structure, hence a trie can could have letters than lead up to no word, for ex "abc" is in the trie but "c"'s eow field is false so "abc" is not a word Here is my Data structure struct Trie { bool eow; //when a Trie field isWord = true, hence there is a word char letter; Trie *letters[27]; }; and here is my attemped print-all function, basically trying to return all words in one string seperated by spaces for words string printAll( string word, Trie& data) { if (data.eow == 1) return word + " "; for (int i = 0; i < 26; i++) { if (data.letters[i] != NULL) printAll( word + data.letters[i]->letter, *(data.letters[i])); } return ""; } Its not outputting what i want, any suggestions?

  • php - Can I integrate functions with same content, different names?

    - by Gal
I have a couple of functions inside a class that essentially do the same thing: public function fn_a(){ return __FUNCTION__; } public function fn_b(){ return __FUNCTION__; } public function fn_c(){ return __FUNCTION__; } I need those functions to remain in their current names so I intentionally did not do: public function fn_($letter){ return __FUNCTION__.$letter; } I was hoping for some sort of way to minify the verboseness of code here, since they all do the same. The ultimate situation would be something like this: public functions fn_a, fn_b, fn_c() { return __FUNCTION__; } Another solution, if applicable, might be doing something like Class's "extends": fn_b, fn_c extend fn_a? What do you think guys?

  • Configuring the expiry time for the messages destined to the "Expired message address" in Hornetq

    - by Rohit
I have configured a message expiry destination in Hornetq as below <address-setting match="#"> <dead-letter-address>jms.queue.error</dead-letter-address> <expiry-address>jms.queue.error</expiry-address> <max-delivery-attempts>3</max-delivery-attempts> <redelivery-delay>2000</redelivery-delay> <max-size-bytes>10485760</max-size-bytes> <message-counter-history-day-limit>10</message-counter-history-day-limit> <address-full-policy>BLOCK</address-full-policy> <redistribution-delay>60000</redistribution-delay> </address-setting> And the messages do get redirected to the expiry address once the expiration time is exceeded. These messages live indefinitely on the expiry address, Is there a way to provide a expiry time for these messages so they live only limited time on the expiry address?

  • jQuery autocomplete works with a local string but not when the same String is called off the server

  • Regex and Pattern Matching in Scala

    - by Bruce Ferguson
I am not strong in regex, and pretty new to Scala. I would like to be able to find a match between the first letter of a word, and one of the letters in a group such as "ABC". In pseudocode, this might look something like: case Process(word) => word.firstLetter match { case([a-c][A-C]) => case _ => } } but I don't know how to grab the first letter in Scala instead of Java, how to express the regular expression properly, nor if it's possible to do this within a case class. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Bruce

  • is it possible to dynamically set the level of for loop nesting

    - by galaxy
    I'm working out an algorithm to get permutations like 123 132 213 231 312 321 I'm doing it using nested foreach loops. for (..) { for(..) { for(..) { echo $i . $j . $k . "<br />"; } } } Problem is those # of nested loops are optimized for 3-spot permutations. How can I could I dynamically set the number of nested for loops to generate 4-letter or 5-letter permutations?

  • Why does this regular expression fail?

    - by Stephen
I have a password validation script in PHP that checks a few different regular expressions, and throws a unique error message depending on which one fails. Here is an array of the regular expressions and the error messages that are thrown if the match fails: array( 'rule1' => array( '/^.*[\d].*$/i', 'Password must contain at least one number.' ), 'rule2' => array( '/^.*[a-z].*$/i', 'Password must contain at least one lowercase letter' ), 'rule3' => array( '/^.*[A-Z].*$/i', 'Password must contain at least one uppercase letter' ), 'rule4' => array( '/^.*[~!@#$%^&*()_+=].*$/i', 'Password must contain at least one special character [~!@#$%^&*()_+=]' ) ); For some reason, no matter what I pass through the validation, the "Special Characters" rule fails. I'm guessing it's a problem with the expression. If there's a better (or correct) way to write these expressions, I'm all ears!

  • C#: Replicating keyboard shortcuts in textbox, how do I prevent the beep sound caused by alt key pre

    - by Michael Johnson
I'm creating a routine that allows the user to replicate keyboard shortcuts into a textbox for 'custom keyboard shortcuts' customization, but everytime the alt key is pressed with another letter, it produces another sound. I'm capturing the keys in the textbox_keydown event to parse the modifiers + other keys into a readable Shift + A or Ctrl + Shift + B manner into that very same textbox. Should I be doing this in a different event like textbox_previewkey instead of textbox_keydown? How can I prevent the alt modifier key + a letter or number causing the Beep sound? the textbox is just a normal .net 3.5 textbox with the only edited properties of it being the ReadOnly property to false. Is there a better way I could re-do this? I'm currently just checking that if any modifiers keys are pressed and then + a-z or 0-9, then to go ahead and input the appropriately pressed keys into that same textbox like Shift + A or Ctrl + Shift + Y.

  • Parse and charset: why my script doesn't work

  • word ladder in python

    - by user365523
I'm trying to create a word ladder program in python. I'd like to generate words that are similar to a given word. In c++ or java, I would go through each valid index in the original string, and replace it with each letter in the english alphabet, and see if the result is a valid word. for example (pseudocode) for (int i = 0; i < word.length(); i++) { for (every character c in the alphabet) { change the letter of word at index i to be c. if the result is a valid word, store it in a list of similar words } } . However, this doesn't seem like a very "python" way of doing things. How would I approach this problem in python?

  • Getting wrong serial-port names from bluetoothdevice (c#)

    - by wurlog
To get all avaliable Serialports from the system i use the following command. SerialPort.GetPortNames It works fine for the mainboard serial port, but with the bluetooth device i get the wrong portnames. For Example: Instead of COM7 i get sometimes COM70 or COM7ö. Its always 1 letter to much. any suggestens? PS: I am using newest Visual Studio Express in Windows 7 PPS: The dirty hack to cut the last letter didn't work because i don't know which one is the bluetooth serial port (with various bluetoothstick or devices it changes the number of the comport) and after trying various sticks i reached COM10, ergo COM100 or COM10f

  • AutoComplete implementation - Interview Question

    - by user181218
Hi, Say you have a DB table with two cols: SearchPhrase(String) | Popularity(Int). You need to initialize a DS so that you could use it to implement an autocomplete feature (like google suggest) comfortably. The requirement: Once the data from the db is processed into the data structure, when you type a letter you get the 10 most popular searchphrases from the db starting with that letter, then when you type the next one you get the 10 .... with these two letters and so on. The question only concerns planning the ds and pseudocoding Insert,Search etc. Note: YOU CANNOT USE TRIE DS. Any ideas?

  • When to use SQL Table Alias

    - by Rossini
I curious to know how people are using table alias. The other developers where I work always use table alias, and always use the alias of a, b, c, ect. Here's an example SELECT a.TripNum, b.SegmentNum, b.StopNum, b.ArrivalTime FROM Trip a, Segment b WHERE a.TripNum = b.TripNum I disagree with them, and think table alias should be use more sparingly. I think it should be used when including the same table twice in a query, or when the table name is very long and using a shorter name in the query will make the query easier to read. I also think the alias should be a good name instead of a letter. In the above example if I felt I needed to use 1 letter table alias I would use t for the Trip table and s for the segment table.

  • Which JMS broker implementations allowing resending messages saved in dead message queue?

    - by marabol
I wonder, if there JMS broker, that allows administrators to resend (via GUI or any tool) messages, saved in a ded message queue or dead letter queue, after solving the causing problem (e.g. database is down, not enough space...). WebSphere provide a feature to resend messages saved in dead letter queue: 1 Glassfish 2.1.1 using Sun Java System Message Queue 4.4 has no feature to do this, I think so. What are the options on other JMS brokers? Or is the best way, not to use the DMQ/DLQ feature, if you are depend on a message? Thanks a lot
