    foobar has got two pretty simple, yet very useful features (at least for me) that iTunes seems to be lacking: Playback follows cursor - Playback continues at the selected track Skip silence - Those 25 minute songs, containing 20 minutes of silence and then some final brainfart that's called "hidden track"... this feature just skips the silence, plays the final bit and continues with the next song Is it possible somehow to enable those features in iTunes?

  • Send email from different domains to different external IP's on a single server

    I have set up a windows 2008 R2 server to route email from Exchange 2010 using SMTP Server in IIS. I have 3 seperate domains and would like to route each one through a different internal and external IP for (IP Reputation etc), at the minute it is only using the primary IP on the server to route email externally. Is this at all possible using SMTP Server in IIS, or is there any other software available to do this?

    Server A generates a file and scp's it to Server B. I have cron running on Server B that each minute looks for new files that were copied over. My question is- how can Server B ensure that the file that was copied over is actually done being copied? I don'y want to start processing the file unless it's been fully written to. Is this possible to determine?

  • Chrome keeps crashing a short while after startup

    Hi, whenever I turn on Chrome, it crashes after a very short while (less than a minute). It started happening about a week ago for no apparent reason. I didn't install any new software, update or uninstall anything (as far as I remember), it just crashes. It doesn't matter wether I even open any page or not, Chrome just dies, period. Doesn't anybody have an idea why might that be? I'm running on Windows Vista Home Basic.

  • crontable OR conditions

    Crontable parameters seem to function as 'ands' conditions. So the example 0 9-5 * * 1-5 Runs when the conditions are met "minute is zero AND hour is between 9 and 5 AND day is between monday and friday". What I'd like is an 'or' function, so I can say "run monday to friday OR the 8th day of the month". Does such a thing exist? I realise you could add two entries, but with lots of entries it adds something to forget.

    I've been trying to follow Scott Hanselman's post on installing the Win8 RP on a vhd, using the win8 .iso on a dvd, but the install wont start. I get a black screen with the Windows text for a minute or two and then a :( with some text about setup experiencing an error flashes up and my laptop restarts. http://www.hanselman.com/blog/HowToGuideToInstallingAndBootingWindows8ConsumerPreviewOffAVHDVirtualHardDisk.aspx Has anyone got any clues what might be going wrong, or how I can diagnose this?   • WMI Remote Process Starting

    Scenario I've written a WMI Wrapper that seems to be quite sufficient, however whenever I run the code to start a remote process on a server, I see the process name appear in the task manager but the process itself does not start like it should (as in, I don't see the command line log window of the process that prints out what it's doing etc.) The process I am trying to start is just a C# application executable that I have written.   • Installation Won't Finish

    I installed Ubuntu 12.10 (32-bit) on my Acer Aspire One notebook and replaced the Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Everything went fine, but right before the installation finished, it got stuck. The loading bar at the bottom is full, and it says "Copying installation logs," but my mouse won't move and it's been at this point for almost an hour. Also, the mouse is in the loading spin, so I know my computer didn't freeze. Should I just restart now? I'm not sure if it's at the last stage, but it seems like it is, and this has taken more than the rest of the installation together. EDIT- I had my computer go in sleep mode for a minute and now I can move the mouse again. When I click the "Copying.." part, it says "Activation (eth1) Stage 4 of 5 complete" but "5 of 5" (I assume that comes next) isn't starting.

  • Why do I recieve multiple warnings of "No running instance of xfce4-panel was found" when logging into Xubuntu?

    I'm running Xubuntu 11.04, the bootup-time is quite fast but when I log in it takes close to a minute before the desktop is displayed, meanwhile I see no activity on the hard drive. When I finally have the desktop I see this notification repeated 10 times: and then this one: In .config/autostart I have these entries $ ls xfce4-settings-helper-autostart.desktop xfce4-clipman-plugin-autostart.desktop xfce-panel.desktop $ cat xfce-panel.desktop [Desktop Entry] Encoding=UTF-8 Version=0.9.4 Type=Application Name=xfce4-panel Comment= Exec=xfce4-panel StartupNotify=false Terminal=false Hidden=false I need some assistance to locate the slow startup, which logs to look at etc. And then this annoying message about xfce-panel.   • JPA/EclipseLink multitenancy screencast

    I find JPA and in particular EclipseLink 2.3 to be particularly well suited to illustrate the concept of multitenancy, one of the key PaaS features en route for Java EE 7. Here's a short (5-minute) screencast showing GlassFish 3.1.1 (due out real soon now) and its EclipseLink 2.3 JPA provider showing multitenancy in action. In short, it adds EclipseLink annotations to a JPA entity and deploys two identical applications with different tenant-id properties defined in the persistence.xml descriptor. Each application only sees its own data, yet everything is stored in the same table which was augmented with a discriminator column.   • How frequently Googlebot fetch sitemaps? Is it depending on PageRank?

    How much frequently Google fetches sitemaps? I am now working with a high traffic website normally have 30 new posts per minute but currently it provides sitemaps which links to new 100 posts (3 minutes). Is this method is enough? Is bots fetch sitemaps every 3 minutes? Did need to change sitemaps to list all 5M posts(indexed sitemaps)? How this change will effect on traffic and PageRank? Is Googlebot remove URLs that previously listed on sitemaps but not now?
