Good morning. Could anyone kindly please help me. Thank you.

  • How do I write a analyzable thread dump format

    - by gamue
I'm creating a global exception handling which collects some information before shutting down in some cases. One of this information is the current thread dump. i do this with following code: ManagementFactory.getThreadMXBean().dumpAllThreads(true, true); The problem is to write the information into a analyzable format for TDA. Is there a "simple" way to format the information instead of writing the format on my own?

  • How do i pass arbitary date format from C# to sql backend

    - by Jims
I have a datetime field for the transaction date in the back end. So I am passing that date from front C#.net, in the below format: 2011-01-01 12:17:51.967 to do this I have written: presentation layer: string date = DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.fff", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture); PropertyClass prp=new PropertyClass(); Prp.TransDate=Convert.ToDateTime(date); PropertyClass structure: Public class property { private DateTime transdate; public DateTime TransDate { get { return transdate; } set { transdate = value; } } } From DAL layer passing the TransactionDate like this: Cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@TranSactionDate”, SqlDbType.DateTime).value=propertyobj.TransDate; While debugging from presntation layer: string date = DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.fff", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture); in this I am getting correct expected date format, but when debugs goes to this line Prp.TransDate=Convert.ToDateTime(date); again date format changing to 1/1/2011. But my backend sql datefield wants the date paramter 2011-01-01 12:17:51.967 in this format otherwise throwing exception invalid date format. Note: While passing date as string without converting to datetime getting exceptions like: System.Data.SqlTypes.SqlTypeException: SqlDateTime overflow. Must be between 1/1/1753 12:00:00 AM and 12/31/9999 11:59:59 PM. at System.Data.SqlTypes.SqlDateTime.FromTimeSpan(TimeSpan value) at System.Data.SqlTypes.SqlDateTime.FromDateTime(DateTime value) at System.Data.SqlTypes.SqlDateTime..ctor(DateTime value) at System.Data.SqlClient.MetaType.FromDateTime(DateTime dateTime, Byte cb) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.WriteValue(Object value, MetaType type, Byte scale, Int32 actualLength, Int32 encodingByteSize, Int32 offset, TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.TdsExecuteRPC(_SqlRPC[] rpcArray, Int32 timeout, Boolean inSchema, SqlNotificationRequest notificationRequest, TdsParserStateObject stateObj, Boolean isCommandProc)

  • What's the proper format for an SPF record?

    - by deltanovember
Querying my domain I get: The TXT records found for your domain are: v=spf1 ip4:50.22.72.198 a mx:wordswithfriends.net ~all So superficially it appears OK. However I also get the following message SPF records should also be published in DNS as type SPF records. No type SPF records found. I want to make sure things are absolutely airtight. So in addition to TXT records I also want a pure SPF record. However I cannot figure out the format. Placing the same text in an SPF record does not seem to work. Edit: At the moment I have a TXT record but not SPF record. When I cut and paste from TXT straight to SPF I get some type of crazy recursive DNS error so quickly deleted the SPF. I just want to know the correct format. Copying v=spf1 ip4:50.22.72.198 a mx:wordswithfriends.net ~all Straight into an SPF record doesn't work.

  • Numeric operations over SHA-1 generated keys in C#

    - by webdreamer
I'm trying to implement a Chord distributed hash table. I want to use SHA-1 as the hash function to generate node ids and map values to the DHT. However, I'll need to use numerical operations on the SHA-1 generated key, such as a modulo, for example. I wonder in which type of variable should I put the array of bytes I get, and how can I convert from one to another.

  • Why doesn't Windows 7 allow me to format?

    - by hydroparadise
Dell support can be fun to deal with right? Ultimately, I have been going back and forth with Dell on an issue and came to reinstalling Windows 7 32-Bit Pro. The problem is that Windows Setup will not let me format. I've read other posts that say Windows 7 must installed on first partition here. But now that confuses me because the computer came shipped with the installation on the third partion as shown in the picture below? Is there a real problem? Or is this a Microsoftism? Should I obliterate the "OEM" partition to make this work? Please note that the format, delete, new, and extend options are grayed out.

  • Database: Storing Dates as Numeric Values

    - by Chin
I'm considering storing some date values as ints. i.e 201003150900 Excepting the fact that I lose any timezone information, is there anything else I should be concerned about with his solution? Any queries using this column would be simple 'where after or before' type lookups. i.e Where datefield is less than 201103000000 (before March next year). currently the app is using MSSQL2005. Any pointers to pitfalls appreciated.

  • Set date format in ruby model (sinatra/datamapper)

    - by Gearóid
Hi, I have a ruby model that contains a date attribue which I'd like to be able to pass in as a parameter in the format dd/MM/yyyy. However, my sqlite3 db stores the data in yyyy-MM-dd format so when a date like 20/10/2010 gets passed in, it will not be read to the database. I am using the Sinatra framework and using haml for the markup creation. Do I need to write a helper that takes the date string and converts it to the correct format for the db? Or can I set a format type on the models attribute? Thanks.

  • Format date in String Template email

    - by Gearóid
I'm creating an email using String Template but when I print out a date, it prints out the full date (eg. Wed Apr 28 10:51:37 BST 2010). I'd like to print it out in the format dd/mm/yyyy but don't know how to format this in the .st file. I can't modify the date individually (using java's simpleDateFormatter) because I iterate over a collection of objects with dates. Is there a way to format the date in the .st email template?

  • Converting PDF eBooks into a Kindle format

    - by Ender
Over the past couple of years I've amassed quite a collection of guides, tutorials and ebooks in PDF format. A lot of these are quite useful for work, especially PDF documentation, and rather than have to be at a computer every time I want to read how to do something in Sitecore or to read through a software testing ebook I'd like to do it on my brand-spanking-new Kindle. However, even though there is now a native PDF reader on the Kindle due to the nature of PDF's they are practically unreadable. The text doesn't wrap due to how PDF's are sized and so far after a bunch of Google searches I've yet to find a viable solution to get my PDF's converted into a readable Kindle format. Sometimes these books have code or pictures/tables in them, but most of the time they're text-heavy and to be honest I'd be surprised if there wasn't a free tool to handle the converting of PDF to one of the (seemingly many) Kindle formats. So, can anyone help me out with this?

  • update columns when value is numeric in tsql

    - by knittl
i want to normalize date fields from an old badly designed db dump. i now need to update every row, where the datefield only contains the year. update table set date = '01.01.' + date where date like '____' and isnumeric(date) = 1 and date >= 1950 but this will not work, because sql does not do short circuit evaluation of boolean expressions. thus i get an error "error converting nvarchar '01.07.1989' to int" is there a way to work around this? the column also contains strings with a length of 4, which are not numbers (????, 5/96, 70/8, etc.) the table only has 60000 rows

  • Comparing numeric strings

    - by Kiren Siva
From the question PHP Type-Juggling and (strict) Greater/Lesser Than Comparisons I know PHP interpret strings as numbers whenever it can. "10" < "1a" => 10 less than 1 expecting false "1a" < "2" => 1 less than 2 expecting true "10" > "2" => 10 greater than 2 expecting true But in the case of "10" < "1a" php returns true. I am not understanding the concept please help me to clarify it. Edit: But when I add "10" + "1a" it returns 11 that means php interprets "10" as 10 and "1a" as 1. Is that correct?

  • Eliminate subquery for average numeric value

    - by Dave Jarvis
Quest A query selects locations that begin with Vancouver, which are in a 5 minute radius from one another. SQL Code The following SQL abomination does the trick: SELECT NAME FROM STATION WHERE DISTRICT_ID = '110' AND NAME LIKE 'Vancouver%' AND LATITUDE BETWEEN (SELECT round((min(LATITUDE) + max(LATITUDE)) / 2)-5 FROM STATION WHERE DISTRICT_ID = '110' AND NAME LIKE 'Vancouver%') and (SELECT round((min(LATITUDE) + max(LATITUDE)) / 2)+5 FROM STATION WHERE DISTRICT_ID = '110' AND NAME LIKE 'Vancouver%') AND LONGITUDE BETWEEN (SELECT round((min(LONGITUDE) + max(LONGITUDE)) / 2)-5 FROM STATION WHERE DISTRICT_ID = '110' AND NAME LIKE 'Vancouver%') and (SELECT round((min(LONGITUDE) + max(LONGITUDE)) / 2)+5 FROM STATION WHERE DISTRICT_ID = '110' AND NAME LIKE 'Vancouver%') ORDER BY LATITUDE Question How can this query be simplified to remove the redundancy, without using a view? Restrictions The database is MySQL, but ANSI SQL is always nice. Thank you!

  • correct format for datetime appended to filename

    - by jhayes
I'm trying to setup a batch file to execute a set of stored procs and dump the output to a timestamped text file. I'm having problems finding the correct format for the timestamp. Here is what I'm using osql.exe -S <server> -E -Q "EXEC <stored procedure> " -o "c:\filename_%date:~-0,10%_%time:~-0,10%.txt" The error I get is: Cannot open output file - x:\filename_Thu 06/25/_16:26:43.1.txt No such file or directory I can't find the documentation and I've played around with it but can't find the correct format.
